Name: Aera Matthews (Call her "Aerie" and you might as well run for it)
Race: Human
Age: 19
Personality: Aera could be called (and believe me, she HAS been called) reckless, blunt, and abrasive. She 'calls em how she sees em,' and is not afraid to step on toes to get where she's going. She puts up a front to keep strangers from getting to know her, to weed out all the weak 'friends,' and protect herself.

If someone can deal with her though, she will show them some respect and eventually, will become loyal to those select few whom could be called friends. She understands she's a handful, but believes someone has to be or nothing would get done. She really has best intentions at heart but cannot always communicate them to others. She's not afraid of starting fights or fighting others' battles, and REFUSES to shed tears in public.

Despite these put-off's of her personality, she becomes rather calm and content when left alone in the Arts Department late at night. When released from the stress of her peers' presence, she becomes at peace with herself and indulges in a calm stupor. Thus her reactions to being caught in such circumstances are always highly entertaining.
She also becomes awkwardly placid when it rains or when the wind blows continuously, or when dogs are in the vicinity.

Bio: Aera's parents divorced when she was young and since she's lived with her mother and her sister. Ever since, her mother's been overly emotional and wasted her time on losers that broke her heart, stole her money, etc. And despite Aera's warnings, her mom continued to recycle bad boys and date them years after their initial breakup. At the age of 16, Aera emancipated herself from her mother's vicious cycle of helplessness and child neglect, and decided that she and her sister would live with their grandma and their cousin (Leslie).

Now commuting from her grandma's house to New Jersey College on a daily basis, Aera has become a lot happier though she may not always seem it. But because she worked all throughout high school and had little to no social life, she's become bound to her work in college. She doesn't trust others to get the job done when she can easily do it herself because she grew up being so independent. At this school, her only current "friend" is her cousin Leslie because he grew up the past 3 years with her; though she would argue he's less of a friend and more of her "unofficial babysitter" to keep her out of trouble.

Aera doesn't quite understand her mood shifts when it's rainy or windy or when dogs are around. Perhaps it's something she will discover for herself in the nine kingdoms...

She is the light designer and lighting crew head for NJC's current production.

Does your character like the other realm? Would they stay?: Aera would probably stay in the nine kingdoms because she could fight [trolls] to her heart's content without going to jail...or so she'd think.

Name: Leslie Hermes (prefers to be called "Lee"/"Les")
Race: Human
Age: 21

Personality: Lee is pretty easy-going compared to his angsty cuz, Aera. He's friendly, laid-back and likes to understand how things work & have a basic plan. He doesn't like to rush into the unknown unprepared (yes, that IS a little redundant). But because of this, he often gets taken advantage of by his so-called "friends" and spends whatever energy he has left attempting to keep Aera from beating those people up. He acts as the voice of reason with her.

Lee's not heroic, but he's not a downright coward either. He's just the genuinely nice guy.

Bio: Lee's grandma raised him since he was a kid, because his mom was too immature to take care of him herself, and his dad was an alcoholic. His voice didn't change until he was 16, and was picked on all throughout middle and high school because of it. And he realized he had a talent for running when the bullies chased him. He tried out for the track and soccer teams, and played all through high school and into college.

He's grown out of most of his awkwardness (thankfully), and after a few years of living with Aera, he feels like he's finally breaking through to the real her. On their commute home from college, they'll opt to walk and discuss the deeper issues of life (which a few months ago, he didn't think was within her grasp of understanding). Grandma recently gave Lee and Aera a yin-yang necklace, with a piece for each of them to remind them of their strong connection. Lee doesn't know if he buys into this, but he's more likely to go along with it than his cousin is.

Lee is double-majoring in Philosophy and Psychology at New Jersey College while also playing on the track and soccer teams. But this semester, he's taking a break from sports to fulfill his fine arts credit in theatre. And now, he somehow finds himself acting in the current production.

He likes playing sports, daydreaming, and getting to know how things and people work.

Does your character like the other realm? Would he/she stay? He thinks the other realm is a bit more life-threatening, but nonetheless charming...in its own disfunctional way.

Name: Sarina
Race: Gypsy
Age: 20
Personality: Shy at first, reserved, a bit of a rebel
Bio: For the first seventeen years of her life Sarina was content to live in the enchanted forest with her family and the rest of the gypsies. But she felt that her life was boring and she longed for adventure. So at seventeen she left without a word to anyone accept her best friend (who swore not to tell). Sarina now wanders the kingdoms searching for the adventure she left home for. She knows the lay of the enchanted forest like the back of her hand (especially which of the dodgier parts should be avoided).

Does your character like the other relm? Would they stay? She already lives in the kingdoms, she would most likely stay in the kingdoms. Though she might be persuaded to come to New York if she fell in love.

Name: Garret Lucian
Race: Wolf/Witch
Age: 24
Personality: He's secluded, powerful, hates to be controled. He doesn't take orders well and ends up doing something wrong just to prove his independance. He actually has a soft interior if you could break through his cold hearted exterior. His favorite color is green, his power is over plantlife. His favorites - Monkshood, Moonseed, Oleander and Nightshade. He normaly wears a green mask over his eyes to prevent capture.
Bio: He once worked with the troll king before his untimely death. Afterward he was captured and trapped in Snow Whites Memorial Prison. He escaped using Moonseed to poison the guard, letting him steal the keys and simply walk out in the guards outfit.

Does your character like the other relm? Would they stay?: He has lived in the other relm his whole life; if he could make it to the Tenth kingdom (NYC) he might actually use the opertunity to take controle of the place with his powers. Central Park was a nice place before he came to town.

Name: Denae Rivers
Race: Human
Age: 22
Personality: Silent, talented. Doesn't let people get to know her, doesn't let people in. To most every one, she a mystery.
Bio: She got the role of Snow White due to her soft pale skin, appearance, and her voice. She left home when she was 16 to live with her devorced aunt in New Jersy, she once lived in Drums, PA with her folks as an only child. After her parents started fighting, Denae moved away from home with her aunt. After going through hell in middle school and highschool, she finally got to college where she thought life would be easier. She was almost right. She made a few friends and dove into the theater department to do what she loves. She's always alone and even avoids her friends sometimes. When she got the role of Snow White, she opened up just enough to get the part down.

Does your character like the other relm? Would they stay?: She would stay, she feels like she doesn't belong where she lives. She'd always dreamed of living a fairy tale...and now she can.

Name: Lila Bradford
Race: Human
Age: 18
Personality: keeps to herself, doesn't have that many friends, loner
Bio: Lila is an only child. She lives with both her parents in Illinois, but is away for college in New Jersey. She is an artist and she paints and designs set for the theater department at her college.
Appearance:

Does your character like the other relm? Would they stay?: Lila likes the kingdoms and would stay if she found a place were she felt like she could fit in.

So i had a thought, can i be all three trolls? they are always together, so it would be really easy to write for all three of them at once. Plus they are just so amusing.


Name(s): Burly, Blabberwort, Bluebell
Race: troll
Age: not known, probably in their late 20's
Personality:-Burly is the oldest, strongest, tallest, and looks most like their father. He fights with an axe. Burly being the oldest would now be the king of the trolls but that doesn't stop his siblings from arguing over which one of them should get the crown.
-Blabberwort is next oldest and next tallest, and the only girl. She fights with a knife.
-Bluebell is the youngest and smallest. He is more of a follower than a leader. He is also armed with a knife.
They are all pretty dumb (though Blabberwort is the least dumb of the three). They constantly argue amongst themselves. They are obsessed with shoes (especially leather ones). Their favorite profanity is "Suck and elf!".
Bio: All three have different mothers but were raised by their dad. Before the Queen's death they were loyal to her and would bumble about attempting to do her work. Now with their dad dead as well as the Queen, they are more of mischief makers than a real threat, but they can be quite an annoyance if you cross them.

Does your character like the other relm? Would they stay?: They live in the 3rd kingdom. If they were to find someway back to New York (the 10th kingdom) they would try to rule it (since they already claimed it), but with them being so dumb, i don't think that plan would work very well.

Name: Alderin
Age: 21
Race Elf/Wizard
Bio/Personality: Alderin is strong out going person. He is open to all ideas, but tends to not follow his own advice. A gift of helping people earned him the nickname "bleeding heart". In the end all he wants is to be loved and to have someone to love in return. His father and him do not have the best relationship. Alderin wants to be more wizard and reject the ways of the Elf and his father wants him to be the perfect Elf hunter.

Other realm: Live in the kingdom but is truly fascinated by the other world.

Name: Griffin
Race: Human / Hawk
Age: 22
Personality: Griffin is always up for a challenge and a chance to show off, as he‘s actually a decent fighter with his 2 swords. He loves to tease people and get to know them better, and he’s also a shameless flirt (and a bit of a pervert). Griffin actually has commitment issues, and when he becomes very distraught, he will fly away to sulk in a heartbeat. Aside from that, he's a pretty happy-go-lucky adventurer/flirt.
Bio: …Griffin doesn’t like to dwell on the past, but rather focus on the new challenges brought to him every day. He was cursed by the Gypsy Queen some odd years ago (when he was in his mid-teens), and was changed into a hawk. The curse was supposed to be permanent, but after several years of searching for mystical items to cure him, he seems to finally have the curse under control. Now he can alternate between his regular (human) and hawk forms on will, but once in a blue moon (not literally) he will randomly change. Now he roams the area in search of stirring up trouble and, possibly, winning the hearts of several maidens here and there.
