We Just got back from our band trip and I have a few stroies that i thought were funny/ odd. so now I'm asking.........What are some of your stories?
Here are some of mine.

We had a girl who decided that she wanted to make oreo's in the microiwave at the hotel.

Also a clarinet player went to go shopping and ended up getting some guy that woirked in the store to basically creep on her.

And a newbie accidentally broke the law. She signed someones credit card payment for them. In her own name. And signed it for someone she didn't even know.

Oh and all of these stories? Same girl.

So share some of your stories.

Waaay back in 8th grade, me and a friend got a free tv from a garage sale. We had to carry it all the way back to the bus in the heat, but hey, it was a free tv!

On our band trip to florida it was storming outside and every body went swimming and the director didn't say anything of course i didn't go cause i'm not crazy like that. Some crazy idiots toilet papaered and messed up there hotel room. I drank some nasty water from the fountain of youth. Me and my room mates ran around screaming and singing in the middle of the night. xd IT WAS FUN!!!

Last year, a room with 4 freshmen and 2 juniors found a six pack of beer in the fridge...I was in that room. We eventually gave it to a director, but I don't know what happened after that. The thing is, people are still talking about it today.

On a different note, that same year, several room keys stopped working after one day (we were there for three), so all of those students had to go through another room so they could climb in from the balcony every time they needed something. Thankfully, I was NOT in any of those.

Heh... This one time, at band camp, (ja, cheesy right? I know) my sgt stepped on a dead, squishy gopher, and didn't realise it, and it was during a fire drill, and she had been in the shower, so she was still in shower sandales, a towel, and fire blanket, and when she found out why half of us were gagging, the other half trying -unsuccesfully- not to laugh our asses off, she -litterally!- jumped several feet off the deceased and gooshing-guttsy gopher, shoutin' for all the officers to hear. Ah, ACSTC, hillarity and drama unrequested at every turn.

lol. Goodness... I have dozens.

We decided to have a modeling competition - and it ended up with one guy stripping (YUP. I got it on video). All the chaperones (incuding our BD, and HIS MOTHER) were horrified. This was on the bus btw.

Never stick 100 band students on 2 buses for 13 hours (I think it was about 500 miles or 800 kms) and over country borders.

We were dubed the most Lovey-Dovey group ever by our BD. My 3 roommates all hooked up with guys on the trip. On the way home they were all sleeping ON TOP OF THEIR NEW BOYFRIENDS. It was nasty.

Our door in our hotel refused to work in the mornings, so after getting our breakfast in the lobby, we came back to a door that would not work, so every morning we had to eat our breakfasts in the hallway, while one of us had to get our key cards redone. But of course it was only our room.

I could go on and on...

This is the most amusing story that I remember:

The way the bus arrangements worked out for our trip to the BOA Grand Nationals in Indianapolis didn't suit some of the band people very well. The low-brass section got put on the guard bus. Guess what the guard was treated to for two hours straight?

*to the tune of the monk chant thing from Monty Python and the Holy Grail* "WE DIDN'T WANT TO RIDE THIS BUS, BUT NOW YOU ARE STUCK WITH US."

For two hours straight, they sang this. Some even did the head-hitting thing.

The guard girls in the way back were shouting for them to shut up. I was sitting in front of the low-brass folks. I joined in the singing. (Didn't much like the clicky guard girls in the back, y'see...)

Oh there is a bunch from this years trip to Disney, I'm a freshman and what happened is we went to the beach and on the way back everyone fell asleep just about and when some us woke up including myself I turned around and look to the other row and I saw some of my friends (a senior and sophmore) fell asleep head and head, everyone was cracking up even the director and the parents and we had a photo op of it, those guys will never live it down, the picture is even on our colage of pictures of the trip, so no one will forget and many people will get to see ^_^

What happens on the band bus stays on the band bus.
What goes on during band trips becomes inside jokes.

Walking into the Penn Square mall, fifteen band geeks go up an escalator and you don't see them for two hours after that.

A freaking huge bag of gummy bears. Where does 1/3 of all that go? On the roof of the bus.

Indoor pool at the hotel? Pretty nice idea in the beginning. Throw in a giant beach ball and have fun. All seniors in the hot tub.

Going to the OSU campus we played tricks on the college students. Lazer light their food while we're overlooking them two stories above the indoor cafe. Also playing hide-n-seek with the intent of severe casualties.
--Even when you're miles away from home, band geeks(senior/drum majors especially) can always find a way to get on myspace from the college computers built into the wall.

While at an away game our drum major--commonly known for being this awesome dancer with the best moves partly because he's in classes for that-- some drum majorette was challenging our drum major. Mind you, all band usually try to beat the other with the best stand tunes but they had a dance-off from across the field.
We won of course. She couldn't get low enough. XD

So during Halloween our band director was showing us how to do the Thriller dance and like we had to learn Pelvic thrusts and he was all
"Okay. 1 2 C*ck it, c*ck it" without realizing what he was saying
Everyone busted up in the middle of rehearsal and the director went like beet red. It was hilarious
