I did this for an art trade with my friend. It's her original character and Logan(Wolverine) in the background. This is my first time trying out Prismacolor pencils and I kind of just winged it with the colors. I have problems with the anatomy of females(Surprisingly males are easier to draw for me even though I myself am female) and hands are a progress with me. (Slowly getting better.) I would like to know how I could have shaded it better and any coloring techniques that I can implant in my mind whenever I color(for example, coloring and shading skin). I would also like any tips on how to draw proper curves on a female. (When do I start making hips and how big should they be?) I try to go for "Oh in real life woman's hips are wider than their boobs." but it ends up looking kind of fatter than I'm going for. Maybe I should draw smaller boobs. sweatdrop But this was an exception since I kind of wanted to stay in her style of the boobs being big.

If you really want a stronger grasp on female anatomy, look up some photos of women in bikinis and practice drawing them (hide them from family, if you need to XD). Victoria's Secret and other lingerie websites are GREAT places for photos. Remember, the breasts are not what make the upper torso; think of the chest underneath first before throwing in the boobs.
I love using Prismacolor colored pencils, they are so godly. When you're using them, it's important to layer in light coats of colored pencil. Make sure your colored pencils are always sharp (use an X-acto/craft knife to sharpen them or a hand sharpener, NEVER use an electric!). LIGHTLY color with one color, and then use another color and layer over. Keep doing this to build up colors and shades. Also, don't be afraid to use different colors for shading! I love using purple over flesh-colored tones, it adds a different dimension to the art.

this picture is quite pretty. As far as anatomy of women are concerned.. like Kupocake stated get some bikini models and start practicing drawing them. Its the next best thing to n***s.. and trying to look for good n***s on the internet can get you in to some interesting places... even if that wasn't what was really intended .. It is important to draw them in different types of poses too. also take a study on the human skeleton.. meaning find a skeleton on the net or something .. there should be plenty of educational skeleton pictures across the net. Also if and when ever you can.. get a REAL model.. a life model. Ask a close friend or something if she would mind modeling in her swim suit (preferably bikini) for you so you can do studies, because the real thing is a bit different than photos, and technically can teach ya more.
As for your picture in general perhaps you should do facial structure studies of profile view. cause to me it kinda looks like his chin is merged with his neck.
When I first started. Males was what I caught on to fastest.. but in general I do better with females.. kinda weird... but females in general is suppose to be the toughest of figures to master.
the picture is really lovely tho. again I love the colors. This composition is really nice.

I kind of used different shades of blue for the jumpsuit.(3 blues...) And whenever I try to layer different colors for skin it turns out bad for me. But I don't try that much in the first place so I should probably practice more... And Victoria's Secret is a great idea to look. xDD
