I just saw a movie... about a woman casting out Satan from her baby boy. By the use of baptisim... well as she was walking out of the church... Nephilim's Theme music was playing =O And this was a much older movie.
I was like omg...
Yasunora Mitsueda didn't compose it entirely on his own! =O This makes 2 of the Xenosaga Episode I soundtracks that he did not create originally.
Just thought I would share... @_@

Yeah, I can't remember exactly what it's derived from, but the four notes that make up the Song of Nephilim show up in a number of places. I think it's either some remniant of a folk song or a copyright free piece, something like that.

I heard it in the trailer for the Da Vinci Code. If you listen closely, you can hear the melody being sung... eek

People say the song can be found in RE1 (or was it RE0) I forgot >_> In any case, that song is even more creepy when you realize it's played in so many place.

There was a topic about that a while ago on gamefaqs. I think they concluded that song was used for creepy stuff about Jesus and Mary Magdalene. That's what DaVinci Code is about, same with Xenosaga, and I think there was some reference to it in RE too (but I'm not sure, never played the game)

The movie I heard it in was about some woman having Satan's baby o.O And when the woman was blessing her baby when she came out of the church the song played o.o;;; I think it's some sort of traditional song ment to scare the s**t out of someone o.O
I would hate to hear that when I'm trying to sleep.

Other than that, I've heard the song on Courage the Cowardly Dog Show the episode with the golden hat. Right before Usless reaches it, you can hear the song in the back ground. I started singing to it!

I think it's just like Bowser's roar when he gets hit in Mario Kart. It's one of those things you can find people using anywhere. The vocal notes in the Song of Nephilim I heard in a commercial promo for some show on TV or something.
