(( AIM RP between Nuxaz and Kimaria))
She was on cub-sitting duty again today, or cub-sitting the girls, anyway. There were five cubs in all and since Eeva had no real experience with children, she'd let the others handle the boys and had decided to keep an eye on the girls. She'd not had sisters before now and she'd made a decision that she'd spend as much time with them as possible.
Sisters were special indeed!
So she was trotting towards the den, moving swiftly as her legs could carry her. And, as she drew closer, she listened for any sounds to suggest that the girls were awake and ready to have fun.
Laka Subiani. A tiny, grey-coloured female with the beginnings of a beautiful floral design weaving up one foreleg and across one tiny little cheek. She was small but not so small that she couldn't waddle around on awkward paws and squeak out some words at random. Her speech was getting better and the more she spoke the better she became.
But she still had a long way to go.
Today was an exciting day, however. Mama had told her and her sister that they were going to get to spend some time with Eeva, their big-big sister! A sister who was almost as big as Mama, but not quite. She gave a small squeak and rolled across the den in an attempt to find her paws.

Masumi Subiani followed her sister's stumbles with her own as she struggled to support her own weight. It hadn't been long since she first began to stumble her way across the lands. "La-la." She called to her sister, having only just been able to pronounce the first part of the girl's short name. It was rather amusing, the nickname Masumi had created for her gray-colored sister. It was only one letter off of her actual name and yet the 'k' sound was proving just too difficult at the current point in time. She managed to push herself up and inch her way towards her siter nugding her as she stumbled forward back onto the ground.
"We see sissy."

Eeva arrived and peered into the den, smiling as she set eyes on her two darling little sisters. Masumi was the browns of her and her mother and Laka was greys, greys just like in Father's mane. Father had told her that she looked a lot like the grandmother who had died long before Eeva had been born.
"Hello, little sisters." She chirped, lowering her head to touch her nose to each of their foreheads in turn. "Mama said we can play today. Would you like that?"
She steadied herself against her sister's side and mewed a little. If she minded being called La-la she never said. She'd accepted it and had no worries. Sometimes she even forgot her name was Laka.
She lifted her head as big sister came into view and gave a happy little humming sound. "See sissy!" She repeated. "Yeees." She mouthed the world slowly and tottered up to the entrance. "Ye-es!"
She'd learnt the words yes and no rather early on...

Masumi leaned back against her sister as the other steadied herself. She had learned that at this stage in life every little help was something to accept and be gracious for."Sissy!" She chirped as her older sister peered into the den. She wanted to run to Eeva's side but knew that she would be unable to so she waited for the other to come to her. When her support moved forward she found herself falling to her side letting out a squeek of surprise. "La-la!" She cried as she rolled back onto her stomach glaring at her gray colored sister before grinning.
It couldn't be helped, they were both excited to see their older sister and at least Laka had the courage to totter towards her. She let out a giggle as she pushed herself up on wobbly legs. "Sissy. Sissy." She called as she too made her way up.

Eeva smiled as she watched her sisters moving up into the sunshine, moving aside to give them room and nudging them with her nose in encouragement.
"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. We have all day so there's no need to rush." She curled her tail around her and sniffed happily. "We girls are going to stick together."
She blinked between them. "Okay, so what do you want to do?"
Laka glanced back at her sister, Masumi, and waited for her to catch up. They weren't going to leave her behind! "Hurry. Hurry. Su-mee." And with a small mewl she sat down on her rump and lifted her ears. "Pu-lay!" She squeaked. "We Pu-lay!" And with a squeak she made to pounce at Masumi.

"No. No where." Masumi mumbled with a firm nod. It was her way of saying that her sister wasn't going anywhere. She was going to stay and play! After all sissy wasn't around all the time, so the time they spent together was very important. "Pu-lay. We pu-lay!" She echoed La-la as she came up behind her before sitting and panting a little. It hadn't been far of a walk but she was still so very small and it took more out of her than she thought it would. "Puh...puh...pu-lay." She huffed right before her sister lunged at her and she fell on her back laughing. "La-la!" She chirped batting at the girl before nipping at her ear.

Eeva watched them, feeling a protective love falling over her. She knew then what it must feel like to be a mother, having these delicate, precious lives to care for. The realisation of the task she had ben set to caring for them suddenly seemed enormous. Her parents had entrusted these delicate, darling lives into her care.
She laughed and wished that she was smaller so she could join them in their scuffles.
"Okay Masumi. Laka." She lifted the grey one and set her neatly on the ground. "I'm going to show you something amazing. When I came out of the den for the first time, I saw one, too. So, I'm going to share it with you. It's not far. Do you think you can walk it okay? Or would you like a lift?"
Laka waggled her little paws as she was lifted, then rolled across the grass as she listened to big-sister. "Yees!" She chirped. "Want so see-see! Sissy!" She glanced at Masumi, wondering whether she would like a lift or to walk.
She didn't want to walk if Masumi wasn't going to. "Su-mee?"

"What we see?" Masumi asked, her eyes wide with wonder was Lala was lifted off of her. She bat at her paws as the wiggled in the air before her with a giggle. She rolled over to her stomach, still staring up in awe at her older sister. Did she want to walk? Well she needed the practice but even if it wasn't far, like the den entrance, she wasn't sure if she could make it. "Wa-wal is good sissy," she still couldn't get the 'k' sound just yet, "But Su-mee issn't go-go-oooood."

"Wait and see!" Eeva replied with a purr.
"Don't worry." She responded merrily. "If you get tired just let me know and I'll carry you." Her eyes flickered to the grey daughter and she laughed. "Okay, let's go. I'll go slowly so you can stay in front. Can't let you out of my sight!"
And with that she stood and set off, waiting for the girls to take the lead.
"Go, go!" Laka chirped. If Masumi was walking then she was going to walk, too. She could do it! "Come on Su-mee! Go, go!" And with that she tottered off ahead, moving on her clumsy, awkward little legs. Yes, the pace would be slow but it wouldn't be far and she was sure that it'd be worth the walk.
And as they went, Laka's eyes were drawn to every tiny little thing. Stones, flowers and the sky. Mostly the sky. It was very odd, changing and shifting like that.
"What those?" She asked, idly. "Su-mee, look!" And she waggled a paw at the clouds above.

"Go-ood sissy." Masumi replied with a big grin plastering her face as she scrambled to catch up with Lala. "Go, go Lala, we raaaa-see!" She declared as she picked up her pace and ran clumsly forward only to trip and fall. A frown spread across her maw and she looked as she was going to cry. "It hurts sissy!" She whined licking her paw that she had nearly squished before her. However her attention span was short and when her name was called she turned her head straight towards the source. "Those pretty! They move! They move!"

She remembered being like that and felt it was not so long ago. The curiosity, the way the world was so new. A surprise around every corner. The surprises still came, of course, but not so often and she found she was growing to know the land inside out. No more surprises like the ones she had had when she was little.
"That's right. They are clouds." She informed. "Daddy told me about the clouds when I was little. He'll tell you about them, too, I'm sure. Some thinks the clouds are spirits of our ancestors. Daddy says that Grandma and Grandpa are up there."
A silly notion maybe, but one that Eeva believed with all her heart. "They keep watch over us."
"Ku-roud." She mimicked quietly, watching the shifting white mass above her head. She was too young to understand what Eeva was saying to her, but she knew that the clouds were special. Special and beautiful.
She turned her eyes to her sister and smiled. "Ku-roud! Ku-roud pweety. Pweety and white. Like Choo-woo brother." She spoke of the white-pelted boy, the eldest of the new brother who had been bitten by a spider shortly after birth. Chuwusuke.

Masumi listened intently interested in what her big sister was telling her, even when it made little sense to her. "Cuh-low-ed" Masumi tried to sound the word out then made a face at what she found to be a failed attempt. "Pweeeeeeth." She echoed looking up at the white swirls painting the sky. "Guw-ran ma?" She didn't understand what the word meant or who it was having never met them, or really heard of them. She was young, she knew so little. "Choo-choo!" She chirped at the name of one of her brother, it appeared that she took a different nickname for at least that.

She smiled. "That's right. Cloud. You two are really smart. Girls are definately smarter than boys." She gave them both an affectionate nudge. "Not far now. See over there by the flowers. That's where we'll wait. I'm sure we'll see one eventually."
Laka, giggling at the mention of their brother and comparing him to clouds. They'd have to tell him about that when he was around.
"Ku-roud! Ku-roud!" She chimed merrily as she skipped ahead, stumbling over her feet every now and then. And, at least, she reached the bushes that Eeva had pointed out and plonked her little bottom down/ She turned to peer over her shoulder at them, grinning wide.
"Here!" She squeaked. "We here!"

Masumi giggled at her sisters statement. It was true of course so all she could say was, "yes!" When she saw the flowers excitment lit up across her features and she sprang forward with more grace than she had carried all day. "Fowers! Fowers!" She chimed happily as she stuck her nose into the first one she found. Inhaling deeply the pedals rose up and tickled her nose making her sneeze. "Haaaaaaaaaah Chooooooooo!"

"Whoops. Pollen got up your nose, huh, Masumi?" She giggled as she flopped down alongside them, breathing in the scent of the pretty blooms. "Look, Laka, see your tattoos. Aren't they like flowers?" She reached out and touched her paw against her sister's left one.
"Okay, everyone. All we have to do is wait and see! Soon, something magical is going to come along. Just you wait." She settled herself and remembered the day she had toppled out across the grass with her three brothers.
Good days.
"Did Mama and Dada tell you about your tattoos? About what they mean in an Ela'wadiyi culture? Um...tradition." She was unsure of an easier word for explaining that.
"Sneezy!" Laka giggled, reaching out to pat the tuft of Masumi's tail. "Fowers. Laka like Fowers." She chirped, agreeing. Then, as Eeva told her to wait and see, she settled herself and let her eyes go back up to those clouds.
Those fascinating clouds.
"Tattoos." She raised her tattooed forepaw and waved it. "Tattoos are...are...good. Tell story. Like Choo-woo. Got bit by icky bug. That on his tattoo."
