Savvy: *Looks around suspiciously* Why? >.>
Faunus: *flops* . . .;
Savvy: *Spies Faunus* >3 *Begins to sneak up on him*
Faunus: *ear twitches, but remains flopped* Nyeeeeh...
Savvy: *Sneaks a little closer, wiggling her dirt-smudged and tattered shorts in the air before pouncing at him* Arrr! >D
Faunus: *blinks and flops over when he's pounced* D8
Savvy: Yar, 'tis me ye likkle fire-breathin' scalleywag! *Laughs* I won' be hur'in' ye!
Faunus: *laughs and playfully pushes at Savvy* Yeah. Guess I have to worry more about pirates than ninjas sneaking up on me from now on.
Savvy: Guess ye do *Grins mischeivously*
Faunus: Oh, what's that smile for? >3
Savvy: Ohhh... 'Tis nothin'~ *Gets up and starts swaggering in a circle* Jus'... *Pounces him and whoops* Tag! *Darts off in a random direction*
Faunus: *sits up as she gets off only to be pinned. unknowingly, he lightly blushes. shekes his head and smirks* I'm goign to catch you! *chases after*
Savvy: We'll see aboot 'at! *Races off while looking back to watch him chase after*
Faunus: *laughs and chases after*
Savvy: *Grins and leaps over a log to land in a small stream, and begins to race onward when she remembers Faunus's aversion to water* Wait! Faunus stop! *Spins around and tries to go back over the log only to find it higher on this side than it was on the other due to the erosion of the stream*
Faunus: *chases after Savvy, and sees her go over the log. doesn't hear her in time to stop himself from jumping over. winces and screams in pain in the water*
Savvy: *Flings herself back at the stream, diving underneath him to crouch and spring up, trying to throw him clear of the water*
Faunus: *lands on the edge of the stream, still screaming in agony until he passes out. then all is silent, and he limply begins to sink*
Seeing that he hadn't made it to the clear Savvy started forward again only to freeze as a low rumbling filtered from the rocks to her paws, the streambed shaking once before dropping away below her. She let out a half-strangled yell as the sinkhole expanded faster than she could have hoped to find purchase and drag herself free, falling head over tail into the icy cavern below, hitting the underground pond surface hard enough to shatter the thin layer of ice it still held and knock her senses dizzyingly away. On the surface, the water around Faunus trickled away as the stream was slowly sucked into the abyss.
Faunus's limp body submerged itself beneith the water as it went towards the lowest point in the lake, the sinkhole. Unknownst to him, his body fell loosly to the cave floor, landing with a sickening chime.
Her eyes fluttering open long enough to find that she was underwater, she tried to regain her blurrying vision and figure out where she had landed. Knowing that panicking underwater would only get her turned around, Savvy calmed herself and waited for the shifting of oxygen to tell her which way the surface was before she attempted to swim towards it, hoping that there wasn't a current misleading her. Paws ran against ice and at first she thought she had swum in the wrong direction, then realized that there was a layer of ice on top of the pond. She knew she didn't have enough leverage to break the ice so she kept moving, searching for the hole she had fallen in through. Her vision faded to black at the edges and her lungs burned, fighting to inhale even if it meant swallowing water instead of precious air, causing her to shudder in a small spasm as she fought to stay concious and keep the water from her lungs. A broken shard of ice drifted past her just as her self control broke and her mouth opened to intake the frigid water around her. The ice giving her hope that the entrance, now an exit, was near, she pushed for her tired muscles to keep moving, her mind wandering briefly to whether Faunus had been dragged down as well or had gotten to safety somehow before it fell into the unrelenting darkness that came over her gaze.
Faunus's head throbbed imensly as he came to an impared conciousness. The pain being caused by the water around him was sapping the strength he had, making it difficult for him to even see straight. In a panicked attempt at seeing he used the little energy he had to blow a ring of fire on the ice, it coming together as the surface it was on melted away. His body limply dropped again after that, and he looked at the blurry, orange haze with a blank sort of look.
Sudden warmth against her paws on the ice made her cling that much more to the now small pinpricks of light that entered her eyes. The ice melted away and she was at the surface, her paw above the water. She frowned; her paw didn't need to be through the surface, her head did. Kicking her legs with the last of her strength she was able to breach the surface enough to dig her claws into the ice remaining at the edge of the water to keep herself afloat. None of her efforts making any progress with the water now filling her lungs, leaving her still unable to gasp in the necessary oxygen, the only thing within her current power to do being hold on to her tentative grip on the ice and get what shallow amounts of air she could into her system. She found her small and more weakly growing breaths not enough to sustain her consciousness and she drifted into a shivering, half-emerged sleep.
Faunus weakly watched the fire fade away as it all came together, his blurred vision picking up on a moving, familiar shape at the edge. It was Savvy. He weakly smiled as he saw her go to the edges, thinking that she was safe, and let his heavy eyelids close.

Savvy blinked her eyes open, wretching a few times before coughing up a mouthful or two of water. Realizing that being still half-submerged and half-drowned in a half-frozen pond probably wasn't very good for her health, she began to try to drag herself out of it, getting far enough to clear her back paws of the water before her strength again failed and she again passed out. Her tail flicking gently back and forth in the water with the current, she began to lose sense of whether she was caught in a dream or reality.

Faunus's eyes wre closed, his body growing colder at the ice sapped his strength. He thought he could hear something in his state of unconciousness, scratching on the ice? Splash of the water? He was in the blurry sence of his dream world and he was just floating there, alone, a darkness about him.

A swath of light flickering on her eyelids made Savvy blink and sit up, groaning a little at her tired limbs but looking around to see where the light was coming from anyways. Her gaze fuzzed in and out a little and her paws began to move her until she found herself by Faunus, staring at a hole in the cave wall that was letting the light filter through.
She shook her head confusedly, was that small amount of light at the end what had woken her? Getting slightly dizzy from the head shaking, she pawed at Faunus, trying to get him to wake up. "Hey," she coughed, then cleared her throat, "Oi, wake up, somethin' strange is goin' on..."

Faunus felt in his uncontious something tugging at him. It was a voice. Who's voice? A girl's. A pirate girl's. Is it Savvy's? Just open your eyes and see for yourself, his unconcious told him, and his body listened.
First one eyelid came up, then closed. Then they both did, slowly and at different speeds, before closing halfway. He looked at the blurry world, his pupils groggily moving to look at his surroundings. There was someone shaking him, and yelling for him, but he couldn't make out the words. He blinked and continued to look as the pictures became clearer, and he smiled as the colored blob in front of him began to look more and more like Savvy.

"Oi, are ye awake yet?" she asked, leaning down to look into his still focusing eyes. It looked like he was alright, he was starting to wake up at least. She tapped him once again with a paw and tried to get him to wake up faster. The cave around them didn't seem very inviting of company, and the light in the cave behind Faunus was looking more and more inviting.
Her fur was still soaked and she was shivering, trying to curl into herself to get warmer. She wasn't getting anything but colder, so she also wanted to start moving, hoping that it would help get her blood pumping. Her teeth starting to chatter, she pointed with her chin, "It-t looks lyk th-there myght b-be a way out 'at-t way."

Faunus shook his head in an effort to make his hazy vision return, and blinked a few more times until it did. He nodded. "I-I think so. Where are we?" He asked as he looked around, not remembering excactly how they had come there. He turned to look the way her chin pointed, and nodded, now feeling the extent of the cold water on his skin. "Y-yeah... Let's g-go that way." He tried to stand up but fell from his own weight due to the water sapping his strength. He hesitantly laughed as he tried again and got the same result.

Her gaze, which had been hard in her determination to keep moving, softened when Faunus fell. She almost shook her head, thinking about how he would probably need someone to be strong for him for a long time. It didn't bother her, as she had no problem lending her strength to a freind, but it left her wondering what would happen to him were she to leave him alone again.
The thought that he might find another someone like Lusia who would hurt him suddenly made her ache and she made the decision that until he could learn to stand on his own she would help him move forward. She nodded to herself and crouched down to brace him up, panting from the exertion but forcing her legs to take a step, hoping that he still had the strength to move his paws.

Faunus looked over at Savvy, feeling pathetic and imposing on her but too weak to go against what she did. "I'm... Sorry..." He mumbled as she helped him up, noticing how her body shook from his weight. Oh how he wished he could be the one carrying her, keeping her from falling. But it always seemed to end like this; Savvy being the support of himself. He didn't want to have to be held up by her anymore, not out of pride but out of compassion. She didn't deserve to have to keep doing this to herself. But, that was something to think of later. Right now motion was everything. He took a step foreward, his legs limply moving on in front of the other.

"'Tis fyne," she panted, managing a smile, "So long... As we get out o' here, ye kin think o' how te repay me later..." It was meant as a joke, sort of teasing, but she belatedly remembered that he didn't seem to get teasing very well. Too tired to do much more than walk, however, she'd have to take her own words and think about how to make sure he understood her right after they got out of wherever it was they were.

Faunus nodded as he walked, he would make sure to repay her. he'd never forgive himself if he didn't. he lifted his head to focus on where they were walking, making sure his paws moved one paw in front of the other.

Savvy didn't have the option of seeing where they were actually going, so much of her attention was on keeping Faunus and herself standing and what was left was going into making herself move her own feet forward and not get caught on any rocks or crags. Her breath came in pants and she could still feel some of the water fromt he underground lake in her lungs making them heavy, but it felt like they were starting to warm up with the heat given off from her efforts at keeping them moving.
"K-kin ye see... See anythin' comin' up ahead?" she asked, her voice tired yet hopeful. If they could find someplace dry and in the sun they might be able to stop and find some dry wood for Faunus to make a fire.

Faunus strained his vision to a focus and looked as far as he could. Moments before it fogged out once more the outline of what appeared to be an entryway was visible, and his head bobbed up and down in an attempt at a nod. "Y-yeah.... Over there..." He motioned with his head.

"Aye? G-good," she nodded, bracing herself to get them to the entrance and free of the cold. Her paws stumbled a little as they finally made it clear of the cave, feeling soft sand squeeze between her toes and the light of a sunset or sunrise staining her goldenrod fur bronze. They had made it out! But where had they made it to?
She paused in her walking, straining to lift her head and look around, only seeing gold sand stretching away in front of her. The crash of a distant wave reached her ears and her heart began to beat faster at the realization that they were somewhere near the sea. Her ears strained to hear the waves more, trying to judge if they were far enough away that she wouldn't have to worry about the tide catching them before she could get Faunus to safe ground.
The waves were soon drowned out by the blood pounding in her ears as she gasped, not knowing that she had been holding her breath in anticipation and worry until her vision began to fade to black again. Unable to keep her balance as her head started to spin she sank into the sand and soon found her head to be resting on her paws as her eyelids became heavy again. No, she tried to yell at herself, I have to get Faunus t...

Faunus looked around wearily of the sea of sand around them, not registering the sound of waved or the golden of a sunset. The only thing he noticed was when Savvy dropped and he went spinning across the ground. He looked over at her, full of dread and he forced himself over there. "C'mon" He nudged at her lightly. "Please... Come on... Wake up, please?"
