The day was like any other day. Nothing very exciting happened and pretty much things were normal. As usual. Of course, there would be the occasional hi, hello, how are you? with a passer by. But for the most part the day had been quite uneventful.
But that was ok for Foreshadow. He didn't need much to keep himself entertained. Even just sitting by the river side was enough to peek his imagination.
Which was exactly where he found himself today. Just sitting on a soft patch of grass near the river. Golden eyes watching the rolling, crystal clear water as it ran its course. Day in and day out, the same path over and over again. For however long it had been doing it.
Large wings drawn to his sides, covering up his spotted sides as his gaze slipped from the water for just a brief moment. Glancing up towards the skies as puffy clouds rolled silently across the vast expanse above him. A few blades of grass stuck between his lips vibrated as he let out a small breath of air before he rolled over onto his side. Stretching out his long legs with a little groan before he relaxed there. Letting his eyes slip closed for just a moment.
Maybe he'd take a nap or something.

NightFly would have to agree that the day was just like any day, boring, dull and nothing exciting happening. giving a bored yawn and stretching her wings a bit before closing them to her side, she had decided on taking a walk by herself to maybe find something fun to do. seeing as she so far knew no one outside her family, she wanted to see if she could meet someone for once. assertive, and certianly not that lady like, she wasnt mean or anything just more tomboyish that anything along with a stubbern attitude she got from her own mother. giving a loud snort, she was shocked to suddenly see some stallion sprawled out on the ground. it caused her to raise a brow, and walk over to him in slight amusment that this stallion just seemed to be so laid back. " someone looks compfy." was all she said to him as she came over. oh she had mannors, but at the moment she had no clue what right way to approch him so she just deicided to wing it.

Ok well. Maybe a nap wouldn't be possible for the time being. As it seemed someone decided to just come on up to him just as he had gotten even more comfy on his soft patch of grass.
Cat-like eyes slipped open partially as a small grin came to his lips. Letting the small blades of grass between his teeth slip to the ground beside his head. "Why yes. I am quite comfy. Would you like to join me? I'm sure there's enough grass here for two. And if not I can do a little scootching to make some more room." Foreshadow lifted his head. Dark, silky hair draping across one shoulder as he looked at the grass around him. "I don't personally think I'm that big. Though my dad says I'm big enough I guess."

"well i think there is definatly more than enough grass for us to lay in." NightFly gave a laugh as she found it highly amusing to be asked to lay about in the grass. laying down near him, she wasn't the type that laid about all day. but seeing as he was the first she had met out side the family, she figured it couldnt hurt at all to chat with him. " i guess it cant hurt to join you. my name is NightFly, whats yours?" smirking, he seemed nice enough and it was a nice day to relax.

Foreshadow's grin grew wider as he rolled onto his belly. It wasn't polite to sit and talk to someone new on your side. "Well then Nightfly I'm glad to share my spot with you. My name is Foreshadow." The feathers along his wings twitched lightly as a small breeze rolled across his back.
"So what are you up to this lovely afternoon? Sneaking off somewhere perhaps? Or just taking a walk?" The stallion didn't mind chattering away if she was up to it. It wasn't often that he stopped to just chit chat with another. Like some Soquili, he just wandered from place to place. And if others wanted to chat or just shoot the breeze he wasn't against doing so. It at least gave him some socialization.

" well i'am happy you decided to share your spot and its a pleasure to meet you Foreshadow." NightFly enjoyed the small breeze that blew past and ruffled her feathers a bit. " well.....i suppose it was just walk to see if i could maybe meet someone knew. i stick close to my family so i dont know really anyone outside my family." she gave a small grin as she was kinda embaressed she really didnt have any real friends at all. "what about you? do you always sprawl about and wait for someone to come around?"

"Ah, trying to be a social butterfly then? Well that's not so much a bad thing. Everyone needs a bit of interaction with those outside their own family. If your family were the only one's you talked to well then I'm sure the conversations would get pretty boring and repetitive." His silky tail wrapped around his haunches with one quick flick.
"Nah, though it seems to work out pretty good. I got you to notice me didn't I?" Another wide grew spread across his maw as golden eyes shined happily. Really, he did enjoy the company. Laying about all day was nice especially when you were feeling particularly lazy. But sharing a one on one conversation with another well, he'd give up lounging in a second for something. Unlike Nightfly, Foreshadow didn't talk to his family much. He had little to no interaction with his mother or sisters. And his father roamed too much for him to really see him all too often. But he didn't mind. It just meant he had a lot more free time to put an effort into meeting new people.

" i figured it couldnt hurt to get out and meet someone i dont know. and i have to agree, just being with family consantly can get too repetitive which is why i seeing what its like outside family." NighFly gave a snicker at his reponce. " apparently so. not everyday you find someone you don't know laying around without a care." giving a toss of her mane, she definatly wasnt the lazy type at all and liked to roam about when she felt like it. but right now it was rather nice to lay about and have a nice chat with someone.

Letting one wing stretch out to lay beside him, Foreshadow nodded. "Don't get me wrong though. Having family to talk to is nice, even though I don't speak much to my own. Mostly just my father whenever we happen to cross paths." The tips of the feathers on his outstretced wing ruffled as the breeze took to tugging and tossing them around.
"Well I think more people should do it. Sure you can walk around, waiting to bump into someone for some conversation. But why put so much work into it when they can just come to you? And then once you've got them in your grasp you pounce and viola! Conversation." Foreshadow nodded his head in a sage manner. A serious look over his face, but the corner of his mouth tugged upwards as he tried to hide a smile.

Nightfly laughed. "you have a good idea right there Foreshadow. maybe i will try that one of these days if i wanting some conversation with someone not family." smirking at him, she couldn't help but smirk cause he was trying to be all serious. " is there anything else you do besides laying about waiting for someone to come across you and chat?"
