 The long winter months had gone just as quickly as they came. And now spring was upon the Soquili lands. But soon summer would bring its warm breezes and radiant sunshine. The days seemed to march on one by one and sometimes Dafina didn't notice. She was too busy just relaxing and enjoying her life. Watching her family go about their own business. Was this what her mother felt as well?
It was an odd sense. But one the mare had fallen into quite willingly. Though she did wonder how her brothers had been fairing. Every now and again she would wander off to visit her mother and father. A bit of hope that maybe Imrikalto or Ferrao would be there, but her wishes seemed to go unanswered in that factor. Oh well. Imri had his own family to worry about. And as far as Ferrao was concerned no one had heard from him in a long time. Which Dafina was sure made her mother uneasy.
Either way, Dafina spend a lot of her time now that the snow had left the fields lounging a top a small hill beneath the shady branches of an old oak tree. Its newborn leaves full of life as small birds tended to their nests and little squirrels ran from branch to branch chattering all the while.
It was a simple life, but one she enjoyed. Darma on the other hand just wasn't content with lounging around, watching the grass grow like her mother. Sure she'd rest every now and again, as well as to keep her mother from falling into the dredges of boredom. But the young mare was still in her prime! Just sitting about all day didn't seem very exciting to her. No, not in the least bit.
As her mother watched on, Darma raced across the meadow that stretched out in front of the hill side. The feather behind her head whipping against the back of her neck as it mingled with her dark mane. Hooves pounding against the new grass as it flattened beneath her weight. She felt light as air when she ran. The cool, spring breeze whipping across her cheeks as she thundered back and forth. Back and forth across the meadow.
She stopped momentarily to give her mother a little whinny, as if beckoning her to come down and join her in a quick little run. But soon enough, she took off again. Racing against an imaginary friend.

 Raum grinned as he walked along side his daughter and grand daughter. it seemed to him not so long ago he had met his love Dafina and brawled with her in his stubberness to show off how strong he was. but now he was not only a father but a grandfather as well and even his own brother had started a family. even though everything had gone so fast, he was rather happy with how his life had been going as nothing too dramatic had happened since he had found out he was a grandfather but that was old news as his grand daughters where adults.  " hey Dar!!!!!" Dafius laughed as she noticed her sister racing about and apparently having fun. grinning now, she raced over to her sister whiling leaving her daughter with her father since she wanted to catch up with her sister. even though she was a mother of two, she was still as stubbern and spunky as ever.  NightFly rolled her eyes in amusment as her mother took off towards her aunt. she herself was more resurved yet she definatly was the assertive type when approcced. giving a ruffle of her wings, she went over to her grandmother with her grandfather since her mother now was distracted with her aunt.

Dafina didn't stand to greet the other half of her family. She was enjoying just lounging around too much to want to get up just to sit back down again. So as Ramus and Nightfly drew close she nuzzled their legs as they moved past her. Her tail flicking quickly against the ground a couple of times. "Well well. Look who decided to join the party finally." She grinned, tossing her head lightly as she watched Darma and Dafius for a few brief moments.
She was glad to see her mate, daughter and grand daughter were doing well. Even though she pretty much knew Ramus was ok, they did spend a good majority of their time together. Sometimes her daughters and grand children seemed to disappear at times. Eh. She knew they were fine for the most part.
Though she did still have her worries from time to time.
Grinning wildly, Darma raced towards her sister. Rearing up on her back legs and kicking her front hooves out wildly before falling back down to the ground. Bouncing on her hooves as she head butted her sister a couple times. "Dafi!"
Her tail wiggled back and forth happily before she nipped at Dafius' ears a couple times before prancing away. "You've been gone so long. Where've ya been?" Chocolate colored eyes gleemed with joy as she stood in front of her sister now. Excited to see her sister and yet still having the need to run as fast as she could still back and forth across the field.

"party i see no party. just silly aunt Darma messing around and mom joining her." grinning, NightFly was happy though to be with her family. " its good to see you though grandma. are you doing well?" nuzzling her grandma in return, Nightfly did though need to learn to lossen up even if she felt the need to be proper and uptight.
Ramus just chuckled at his mate and laid down with her. " oh and here i thought it was the perfict time to come!" giving his mate a charming smirk, he then gave her a nuzzle.
Dafus retaliated by nipping at her playfuly. " well i had to take of my two daughters and be with my mate. i promise i will try to visit more often Daf." grinning, she was glad to beable to spend sometime with her sister, since it had been too long. " what about you, what have you been up to?" smirking she hoped her sister had some grand adventure to tell her about.

The older mare laughed and shook her head at her grand daughter. "Its was a metaphorical statement silly Nigthfly." Leaning over, she placed her chin on Ramus' shoulder. Closing her eyes briefly and taking a deep breath. She loved the smell of him.
At his remark, she gave him a quick n** on the neck. "Your always fashionably late it seems. Obviously my concept of on time is different than yours."
Grinning, Darma bounced around a little bit more before settling down. The excitement of seeing her sister waned and the adrenaline wore out. "Good. I like it when you visit.
Pawing at the ground lightly with a hoof, Darma gave a coy smile. "Well, I've just been doing a little bit of wandering." The young mare turned a bit bashful. "And while I was doing my wandering I came across this very handsome stallion and we've been spending a bit of time together. BUT DON'T TELL DADDY!" Her gaze shifted towards the trio up on the hill. "He might hunt Jamison down and beat him up or something..."

Dafius gave a wide grin and wiggled her brows. " you better give me all the details!" she then laughed when she mentioned their father might beat up Jamison. " oh come on dad wont do that, as long as he knows your happy and with someone good, he will be happy for you that you found someone." still grinning, she was happy her sister had found someone.
Nightfly stuck her tounge out. " i know grandma." she laughed when her grandfather got nipped in the neck and he squeaked. " HA grandpa squeeeeeaks!!!" giggling, she was enjoying her time with her grandparents.
Ramus did indeed make a squeaking like noise when he unexpectedly got nipped. "HEY, you know beign fashionably late means on time!" giving a light n** back in return, he then made a goofy face at his granddaughter for being amused he made a squeaky noise.

Giving a light sigh, Darma smiled. "Well, I hope you're right. I wouldn't want him chasing Jamison off. Then I'd be alone again." Another quick glance to their family up on the hill before she locked eyes with her sister. "He's very handsome and so kind. Just thinking about him makes me shiver with excitement. And he's asked me to be with him and I said yes and oh Dafi, I don't know if we're going too fast or if its all really happening."
Darma had never had these feelings before and they were all so thrilling and yet confusing at the same time she didn't know what to truly think about the whole situation.
Dafina laughed, shaking her head. "Yes, he does indeed squeak. And not only when I n** him." She winked at her grand daughter before laughing again. Flicking her tail against the soft grass beneath her. "Maybe on time in your mind. Hours late in the REAL world."

" come on your never alone, you got your family regardless of it you have a mate or not.." Dafius had a huge grin as she listened to her sister speak of this Jamison fellow. " well i am glad you found someone to be with Dar, and i think maybe take things a bit slower now that you two are together. i see no need to rush anything since you two are now together." winking at her sister, she was definatly happy her sister had so much to tell her about now.
NightFly had a good laugh when her grandmother said her grandfather squeaked not only when nipped. " that is great." snickering up a storm now at the expense of her grandfather.
"oh come on stop laughing at me NightFly!" sticking his tounge at her, he then nibbled at his mate's mane. " well then maybe i just need to make my timing better!"

Darma rolled her eyes playfully before shooting her sister a silly grin once more. "You know what I mean! Family is one thing but..." She lowered her head and her voice. "Having someone around as your lover is different. There's family love and then there's fall head over your hooves love."
Her ears flicked back and forth as her sister talked about taking it slow. "Yea, this coming from the queen of taking it slow. Silly Dafi. Don't be a hypocrit." She returnd her sisters wink.
"Awww, what's wrong Ramus? Are you being out numbered by all the estrogen around?" Dafina laughed, winking at her grand daughter. It was true though, Ramus was pretty much surrounded by all females. Two daughters and two grand daughters so far.
"Like that will ever happen. You're too lazy to change your ways."
