The Gods made the world, and seeing it was barren and not alive, placed water, earth, fire, and air upon it. And still it was not complete.
The Gods then placed a female spirit within the world and named her Kai And still she was not complete.
The gods created magical creatures of every kind known to the universe and placed them upon the world of Kai And still she was not complete.
The Gods took part of the worlds magic and created the four Guardians, to care for and keep the world safe And still Kai was not complete.
After much thought the Gods created men and women, and gifted them with the creatures and beasts of Kai. To a few men and women was given the gift of magic, and to all women the power to give life and new birth
The Gods charged the Guardians to watch over all of Kai, and keep her safe. The Gods charged the creatures and beasts magical and non-magical to obey the Guardians. The Gods gave men and women the secret of life and charged them to always remember it and cherish it. Then the Gods saw that Kai was now complete. And the Gods chose a place of rest within the world of Kai .

Some today will tell you the Gods walk the world, some will tell you the Gods sleep deep within the world of kai, and others will tell you the Gods no longer exist.
It has been seven thousand years since the end of creation. My name is Gwyndara, and I am the Guardian who lives in the mountains of the North. My sister Alara is Guardian in the South near the ocean. My two brothers are Callan Guardian in the forests of East, and Talak Guardian on the plains and hills of the West. Life has been relativly quiet, it's mostly the humans that have caused us Garudians the problems. The Gods sleep. And we simply let the world exist and evolve on it's own. We the gaurdians have divided the world into four halves. Each one of us taking a half. Men however have divided it into six different kingdoms and empries. They constantly fight for more land, and more power. I don't pay much attention to the world of man. I'm more interested in the World itself.

Shae Stood with Tyryal before thier angry father and his worried wife. Shame faced and dripping wet.
"What where you thinking of?" He asked with a calmness he didn't feel.
"They weren't thinking." Maya exclaimed unhappily as she rubbed down Tyryal with a towel. Tyryal's eyes lit with excitement "The raft was a beaut, she saild so fast down the river, we were just getting the hang of steering her through the rocks, but thats when she came apart and we had to swim for shore. Thats when i got stuck by that branch, but Shae got me free, and Vandell pulled us in with a rope." He would have continued on, but Shae silenced him with one of her Say another word and your dead looks.
"I see. And whom did you get permission from, to build the raft?" his father asked. Now it was Maya who turned a pretty shade of pink. Her son smiled.
"Mama." Tyryal said with pride.
Kail looked at his wife in disbelife. "Maya?" he asked.
Maya took a deep breath. "When Ulair asked, I didn't know they would actually be able to build it, let alone put it in the river." She tried to explain.
Kail grunted and turned to his oldest. "Shae, you certainly knew better than to try and float a raft down the river. It was dangerous. I expect you to look after your younger brothers." Kail was stern in his manner.
Shae looked her father straight in they eye. "Father , had I not helped them, they would have done it on thier own, and surely drowned. I needed to make sure they did it right." She sounded so sincere and earnest.
Her father threw his hands in the air. "From now on no one is to build anything without discussing it with me first. Understood?" he demanded from his family.
"Yes, papa" all four of his children and his wife said at once.
Kail shook his head. It was a normal average day in the life of his young fazmily. As he went out to the forge to finish the days work, a smile played on the corner of his lips. No one would ever say his childern were not intelligent, or brave. They might say they could use better judgement, but he blamed that on his middle son Tyryal, who could talk a snake into buying a pair of shoes if he wanted. A slow chuckle was masked by the hammering of his anvile.

Liway whee I like Tyrrals potential ability on convincing a snake to buy a shoe. that was funny.about help; what kind do you precisely require? Thanks, I really liked that part too. and the help I would like, is the same suggestion, that you had about writing a story together. The characaters are in the profile subforum. feel free to add characters, and controll the existing ones, etc.

Tyryal walked to the kitchen still rubbing his eyes. "Is breakfast ready yet?" he asked in between yawns. "Almost," his mother answered. She turned over the fish on the coals and the aroma filled his stomach. "The rice is nearly done. Go ask your bothers to come in, we should have enough wood for the winter. Then brew some tea." Tyryal nodded his head. He opened the kitchen door and quickly closed it again so the cold air wouldn't take away the warmth from inside. Following the thud of axe on wood, he found Vendell cutting the wood and ulair stacking them up along the walls of the kitchen and the house itself. The stacked wood will help keep the freezing wind when winter comes and help keep the warmth inside the house. "Breakfast is almost ready. Mama said to go inside. Vendell, you must brew the tea and Ulair will set the table. I have to go call Papa and Shae to the table." Ulair looked at his brother's face but couldn't discern whether he was lying about setting the table. He has been setting the table for every meal for the last three days and he's starting to wonder how. He was about to say otherwise but Tyryal already started trudging towards the forge. He shook his head. Vendell laughed at his brother's confusion. "What's wrong with setting the table brother dear?" "None. But I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm not suppose to be doing it." Vendell laughed. He wiped the axe blade clean then slung it on top of his shoulder. "Just starting, huh." Ulair watched him go. Is everyone passing their chores to him?

Shae was involved in an intracatly designed Steel and silver dagger that she was makeing for her brother for his nameing day that was comeing soon. It was the last of four she was makeing. When she was finished each of them would have a matching steel and silver dagger. She was so involved in her work she hadn't heard Tyryal come in. "Are you def?" he asked her pointedly as he stood beside her looking at what she was makeing. "Oh, sorry no. What is it?" she asked a bit sheepishly. "Mother says it's time for breakfast, Dad went in already, he said if you want to eat out here, you can. But really sis it tastes much better in the kitchen were you belong. Sometimes I think you would live in this smithy if you were given the chance." He said a bit exasperated with his older sister. Shae smiled ruefuly as she placed the last finishing touches on the dagger and then put her things away. "Well if given the chance you know I would." she said half in fun and half seriously. Tyryal just shook his head. "Come on lets get to it before it gets cold." Tyryal said with a broad grin. He placed his arm arround his sister and walked back to the house. He was younger than her, but he was taller and broader. His mother sometimes teased them that she was the "little" sister because of her stature, in comparrison to his. They made thier way into the kitchen and took their places at the table. Ulair had just finished setting the table. Shae glared at Tyryal. "If I remember correctly brother, it was your turn to set the morning table, why is Ulair just finishing your chore?" she asked with a touch of annoyance. "as a mater of fact, I've noticed that Ulair has been doing alot of the chorse arround here that is assighned to the two of you." she said pointedly. The two brothers Tyryal and Vendell at least had the decency to blush with embarassment. "Well if you didn't spend all your time in the smithy with dad, then perhaps he wouldn't have to do everything by himself." Vendell said without thinking. The truth of the mater was that he felt jellous of the time she spent with thier Father. "Children, enough. If you insist on bickering you can do so without your breakfast." Thier father said with only the authority he could use. The four of them instantly fell silent. "Thats better." said Maya. "No then let us give thanks to the Gods for all thier blessings, and this wonderful bounty they have bestowed upon us." they bowed thier heads, and thier mother gave thanks. Then they dug in and ate.

That was the last happy memmorie Shae had of her family. During the night lawless creatures of the night rode in on horses carrying tourches. They orderd everyone out of the house. Shae stumbled out in her night gown, her flaming red hair loose about her face. Tears stung her eyes as she watched the men tourch her home. These horible men killed her father and step mother where they stood. The boys had been taken captive, and Shae had ran into the forest. She followed as best she could, vowing to the Gods and Gaurdians that she would find her brothers, and avenge her Father's death.

(( Gwyndara you really jumped here. *shrugs and Thinking hard*))
Vandell blinked back tears as he watched his home burn to the ground. Men had roughly tied him and his brothers up, and thrown them on horse back. He felt sick to his stomach. At least Shae was relativly safe, at least she had escaped into the woods. He prayed to the Gods that she would be safe. He couldn't figure out why this was happening to them. It was all a blurr. Angry shouts began to ring out.
"Why are you doing this?" Tyryal demanded to know.
"Shut up boy." one of the men said and hit Tyryal over the head, makeing the young boy fall inot unconsiousness.
Vandell tried to get loose but it was no use, his bonds were to tightly tied. He looked over at his youngest brother who didn't seem troubled in the slightest.
Ulair simply watched the men, takeing it all in. He was beyond tears or even fear. He simply accepted what was happening as fact.
After the house had burned down, and the boys securely tied to the horses, they rode off into the cool night.
