The Rules and Regulatons section is divided into sections each going over different subjects.
Please read the rules carefully so we can avoid any misunderstandings and if anyone should disregard the rules intentionally they will be placed on the grey/black list.

Once you have completed the requirements for your Salem's Home adoption to grow, you will receive a quest that must come to some solution, and then a form that you must fill out completely about how your child has changed through this stage of life.

RP Requirements ( This is so you can *KEEP* your adoption )
RP inside the guild least once every two months.
Update your magical creatures' rooms and your assigned apartment. Which means:
All the room posts are filled ( descriptions, rules, guest list, etc etc )
Rps outside and inside the guild are to be logged.
There should be at least two to three "events" or one sided RPs between you and your family every month or so.
Be some what active in the main thread.
Announce any hiatus' or explain unexpected ones.
Growth Requirements
General Requirements to grow to the next stage
3 RPs inside the guild
All the room posts are filled ( descriptions, rules, guest list, etc etc ) this include your apartment
2 random events have been completed.
4 one on one rps between you and your magical family.
2 Journal entries
Once they have become young children they also need:
2 RPs in a classroom setting for at least 3 subjects ( private or public )
1 journal entry about school
Once they become preteens they will also need:
Choose a job class. ( this will be explained later and done through RP )
Begin training as well as continued school ( this will be done through RP )

General Rules
Do NOT steal any of the art or character concept display within the thread or the guild, art thieves will be reported and castrated and other hideous nasty things will be done to them. If you wish to alter any artwork ( such as making it smaller or cropping it for your signature) you can PM this account, ASK and I will do it.
Trolling, blatantly advertising someone else's or your own shop, spamming, begging for gold, and any general harassment will lead to you being reported and you will be placed in the blacklist.
No chat speak. Period. We ignored anyone who can't form a sentence properly.
This is RP heavy, meaning if your not online often or have absolutely no free time this isn't the shop for you.
Do not PM us asking questions and especially asking for a free adoption, ask any questions within the Main Thread and we will get to them all accordingly.
Follow the Gaia TOS.
No quoting trees. One or two quotes are ok, but too many within too many is one big mess we all would like to avoid.
Rules About Adopting and Being a Parent
Creativity is more important than gold, if we really like your entry we can work a payment plan.
If you neglect your magical creature it will be taken away and then put back up for adoption. You will not get your gold back.
Couples can adopt together, but they must pay, play and upkeep the magical creature together.
You can have a maximum of 3 adopted magical creatures at a time.
Rules for Role Playing
You do not need to be a parent to any of my creatures, all role players are welcome.
Again, do not use chat speak. Your posts will be ignored and you will eventually earn your way onto the gray then black list if this offence it done too many times.
Keep all OOC (Out Of Character) information OOC. You character shouldn't know everything and so you should play them as such.
Keep OOC chatter out of Roleplaying areas unless it's important (ie: "Sorry gotta go" or "I'm getting off really soon, gotta cut this short." )
Do try and be respectful out of character as well as in character. I understand that some characters aren't all that nice and that is allowed, but please don't over do it. You will be PMed by me with a warning if this comes up.
Give your characters character. Not everyone is sound of mind and everyone has imperfections. Be creative and give your characters unique personality, the more unique the better. x3
Killing is not encouraged, but if you or your adopted creature die 3 times it will stay dead.
Small Explanation: IC Salem's Home infirmary has potions and spells that can ressurect the dead. ( meaning they are alive and well, not zombies ) Not only that we also have a resident priest ( Duke Silverwing ) that can also preform the spells as well. The reason why we can only do this three times is because dying is very stressful on the soul. Also it's extremely unwise to tell someone who has been resurrected that they are dead because they might go into shock. The body and soul can only go through so much for so long. OOC we feel that if you and the rest of your characters has died more than 3 times we feel it's a bit redundant to ressurect someone who was: reckless, stupid, or just plain unlucky.
Give us a heads up if you can't RP or be online for long periods of time or you'll be at risk of having your adopted creature being taken away. We have a thread right here in the guild meant for such announcements.
This is a semi-literate required play. I know no one has perfect spelling or grammar, but at least trying is good too.
As stated before, everyone is allowed to play here, however, everyone is required to fill out a character Profile Form ( IF YOU DON'T LIVE HERE! ). This can be accompanied by a photo if you wish. These are to be PMed to me (Salem Von Montegue) and not posted here. I will put it up for you. All profiles posted here will be ignored along with all other RP posts until done correctly.
Rules for Rooms
Here at Salem's Home we offer "breedable/changeable pets" with nearly over 11 stages for a 1/5 of the price that they shoud be as well as 4 personal threads that can be used for private RP or for the typical 'journal' style, due to this generosity we want a specific layout for the rooms. So, because of this these are the rules for how all rooms will be layed out. If you do this wrong you will be asked to change it. To make up for the strictness of this these rooms are highly customizable! The Second and Third floors are of course seperate threads because you and your new family member(s) won't always agree on what is notable for the room. This is more for RP purposes,but is expected to be filled out correctly.
Second Floor Apartments
Post 1: Doors
This post is reserved for the images and links for the three doors to the Third Floor Dorms that you will immediately have to your disposal, as well as the image of the back of your door to your apartment that will be a link to the 2nd floor roleplaying thread. This is strictly for roleplaying purposes and to achieve the feeling of actually navigating through Salem's Home.
Post 2: Random Events
This post is for events that happen randomly to you in spesific. Hense the name. These will help spice role playing. These will have to be responded to within two weeks, real time. If you have stated you are on hiatus random events will not be given.
