Airships
SSC: “Self-Sufficient Colony” class ships are massive, often close to the size of large asteroids or small moons. They do not have to return to ports at any time. These vessels contain entire communities.
SSCB: “Self-Sufficient Colony Battleships” are extremely rare. They are just as massive as SSC craft, though heavily armed. The first SSCB class vessel was the Daedalus, designed by Raven Orion.
SS: “Self-sufficient” class ships are often equipped with means to create food, water, and air. These ships do not need to return to port, though do not necessarily carry entire communities. Many SS class vessels are research crafts.
SSB: “SS Battleships” are SS class ships equipped with powerful offensive weapon systems.
EO: “Extended Orbit” class ships are able to travel for long periods at a time. Officially, an EO craft is any craft able to travel without restocking supplies for up to 1 year. These are fairly common.
EOB: “Extended Orbit Battleships” are EO class ships that are heavily armed. The most advanced vessel of this type is the Aurora, designed by Raven Orion.
NO: “Non-Orbital” class ships are designed for fairly short travel. Officially, any ship that cannot travel for periods of time longer than 2 months without stopping for new supplies are non-orbital class airships. There are also NOB class ships; “Non-orbital Battleships.”
ST: “Short-trip” class ships are designed to transport individuals for short travels. They are made purely for transport of individuals. They usually are able to comfortably carry one or two families for 2 days to a week before having to stop for fuel.
Chaotix: Chaotix is found naturally in crystal form. These stones are highly dangerous for those who are not trained to handle them properly. These gems periodically release massive bursts of energy. These bursts are unpredictable. In a prossesed form, Chaotix can be a powerful source of energy for an Airship that is designed to use a these crystals as a reactor. A single Chaotix generator can supply more than enough energy for all systems for ships EO class or smaller. The more advanced EOB’s often have two, to enhance the ship’s performance.
Mechany
Mechany has multiple uses. It is a method to link the spirit and body more closely. Those who begin mechany must be marked with a symbol that links them with their spirit. This is often done with a scar rather than a tattoo. Afterwards, the individual can begin learning mechany. There is an alternative use for mechany. Once someone has been marked, they can choose to carry a special bracer on their forearm. Once activated, the device becomes a full suit of micronithium armor. The armor varies based on personal preference, but always has a helm with a colored visor of a crystalline material. This suit can be upgraded with various weapons and additional protective devices.
