Hey there! Seems you've stumbled across my Edelsteine quest thread. Please have a look around, and feel free to critique anything if you find something that doesn't add up or make sense.

I suppose I'll first tell you a bit about myself, and why I find myself to be attracted to the shop. I'm Vesale and I'm from a small county down under called Australia. I joined Gaia in late 2006. Since then I've been an active lurking in all things Breedable/Changeable pets, and I've been interested in various RP heavy pets but the one that's held the most interest for me by far is Edelsteine. Don't let the quest thread date fool you, I've actually been around longer than since 2009. I'm not quite sure when I first began lurking around Edelsteine, the earliest event I can remember was the Haiku contest for a number gem, I can also remember when the cat plushie Aoide where released, but I'm not sure which came first. I don't think I actively began posting in the thread until some time in 2007 and I think the first actual event I tried for was during Gehenna, which I didn't win. Since then I've been posting in the thread and planning out characters but not actually RPing. I've finally had the time to actually create a decent character in the hopes of it one day becoming a host. Until then, I'll be lurking and posting in the thread, and participating within the shop in all the ways I can.

Although I have a display of my funds for a custom, I'm not too interested in a full blown custom, I'd much rather just pick an influence and leave the rest up to the artist, or just receive a random gem. So this thread will be home to all my chop character profiles, as well as the ploosh I have collected, and a list of the different influences/domains I like.

Name:: Shaig, son of Borm

Date of Birth:: March 11th, 17 years of age.
Race:: Gaian Mountain Troll
Skintone:: Pale, with a normal skin coloured hue. All over his skin are dark brown tattoos, as well as a white star tattoo on his forehead.
Eye Colour:: Light blue
Hair Colour:: White
Occupation:: Slave
Likes:: Fishing, his teacher, learning, exploring, being free.
Dislikes:: Crowds of unknown people, no nature, being a slave.
Abilities:: Being a mountain troll means Shaig has a certain affinity towards the earth. He does not have any magical abilities, but is good at reading the signs of the land. He has some minor training in combat, but this stopped when Gehenna began.

Personality:: Shaig is quiet. Unless he knows someone really well, you’re not going to get much out of him. He’s also the one in lessons that sits to the side, intently listening to what is being said, but never contributes much to a group discussion, and if he does his speech doesn’t last for long. This is because he feels insecure with his ideas and notions, so does not feel very confident with sharing them with others.

Because of his quietness Shaig can also be quite shy. It takes him a while to warm up to people, and he hates being singled out. Once again this is due to his lack of confidence.

That being said, Shaig does not have a mean bone in his body. He’ll go out of his way to help and be kind, if he knows you. Whilst he would not be adverse to helping a stranger, he would find it tough, especially if they’d never spoken before.

Shaig has always lacked self confidence, why this is, his friends don’t know, he’s just as smart as anyone else, some think it may have to do with his father’s tough ideals.

Ever since the happenings of Gehenna, and his subsequent capture and enslavement, Shaig has become even more bottled, his whole outlook on the world shattered and broken.

Appearance:: Shaig is of average height for his people, staning at approximately 6’4”. He has a lean build with some muscle definition, but definitely appears ‘scrawny’. His hair is pure white, and appears on his head, the end of his tail, and as tufts in his ears. His eyes are a bright teal-blue colour, and stand out against his overall pale complexion. He has a skin covered tail that is quite long, and ends in a tuft of hair. Atop his head are two horns, which are not yet fully grown. Shaig also has a set of small fangs protruding from his lower jaw, which often stick out between his lips.

All over his body are dark brown tattoos, marks from the rituals signifying his coming of age and the achievement of finally being able to take an apprenticeship within his tribe. He also has a white tattoo on his forehead in the shape of a star, this signifies his commitment to his chosen path, that of the priest.

Date of Birth:: Exact date unknown, looks to be in her mid twenties in human years.
Race:: Fairy
Skintone:: Pale, but still within the spectrum of 'human' colors.
Eye Colour:: A dark grey/purple color.
Hair Colour:: Very pale blond.
Occupation:: Tender of the small forest known as Silaera.
Likes:: Plants, animals, greenery, her wings, pretty purple things.
Dislikes:: struggling plant life, ignorant fae, not knowing much about magic.
Abilities:: As a forest fairy, Nissa has minor plant magic. With this magic she can induce minor spurts of growth in all forms of plant life. She does not have unlimited supplies of magic either, and must rest to regain her magic if ever her energy becomes too low. She is not adept in this skill and is still learning to harness this magic and to increase her abilities.

Nissa is also able to communicate with plant life by touching it. This is a natural gift she was born with and has always been able to do.

Like all fairies, Nissa is capable of flight.

Personality:: Nissa can be quite girly at times. She's not apposed to the squeals and general admittance of adoration that come with finding a cute little animal or something pretty. Inside, Nissa is very unsure of herself and her abilities. She knows what she wants from life, but is unsure whether she has the drive of the abilities to get herself there. Nissa can be ditsy at times, mistaking one thing for another, or generally getting confused over small things. Nissa is quite friendly, unless you look incredibly foreboding, chances are she will talk to you, and probably find something to like about you.

Appearance:: Nissa stands at 5'8" in height. She has long, pale blond hair that reaches her waist. Her body is slender and taught, though her physical strength is minimal.

Set on her back is a pair of wings. These wings would feel much like a butterflies to the touch, and are capable of flight. The colour varies in the light, and can range anywhere from deep greens, to blues and lighter greens. Nissa is very proud of her wings, as they are often a source of compliments from many.

Worn almost at all times is a purple headpiece that was a gift from her mothers before she passed away. Nissa always wears it to remember her.

History:: Nissa was conceived from a night of passion and fun between her mother and her father on the eve of the Summer Solstice, a time when many fairies came together to celebrate and party.

She'd never knew her father, but that was often the case of the free-spirited fae. She'd grown up with her mother in a small glade of other fairies, here, they all banded together and acted as a sort of family. Her life was pretty normal for a fae, she'd received the gift of plant talk, a trait from her father, and was often in her own little world, talking to the trees, flowers, even the grass.

Time passed and Nissa grew, eventually leaving her mother and friend behind to follow her path, that of plant magic, seeking out one to tutor her in the ways of magic. Before she left her mother gifted her with a headpiece, one that she still wears to this day. Nissa eventually found tutelage in a wise old fae who was the guardian of a small forest called Silaera. It was here that Nissa began her path of magic.

She had only been with the fae for some months before news reached her of her mothers death. Nissa decided to leave Silaera for the time being to return home to grieve the loss of her mother. Once her time of grieving had passed she returned to Silaera, only to find her teacher had passed on. Although she was upset and lonely, he'd left the care of the small forest with her, and so even with her education incomplete Nissa took over the care of the forest.

Things were progressing smoothly until the time Gehenna. Many things became a blur to the fairy, and her memories of that time are faint at best, the only thing she can remember was waking up one day to find her forest wiped out, turned to ash before her. Desperate to find answers and a way to bring her home back to life, she set out on a journey to somewhere she did not know.

During her travels Nissa found a strange door in a patch of green. Curious, she opened it and fell through into a place she knows only as 'The Pantheon'...
