How about a subforum for all OOC stuf.
and one for justs writing
and one for just role playing
maybe one for poems.
Just kicking arround the ideas, waht do you think?

Perhaps there should be a thread for introducing ourselves, telling each other about our style of writing, preffered genres, etc. Unless this is suppposed to go in the profiles section?

How about if we had a writing contest and every one who joins just put in like 5 or 10 in gold and then have Gwyn and someone elses judge. 1st place would get 80% of the gold 2 place 15 % of the gold and 3rd place 5% of gold. There would not be alot of gold but could be fun to write short story or poem.

i really like that contest idea... i hope you guys haven't done it yet.
thing is, instead of doing that just one off, how about doing it regularly... say every month?
but instead of all the gold going to the winning participants, you could keep some(say, another 5%) for the Guild (if the guild have a standing account - I don't really how things work yet sweatdrop ) for anything else that we might wanna do to it later ie improving the site, making wall hangings or such things.
oh yes, are we allowed to have a 'house' for the guild?

smile sorry to be back so soon but I was going through the "Blog, Log..." and just thought of soemthing... how about a thread of a continuing story?!?
I mean... One of us will write the beginning of it (or however much as long as you don't declare it finish) and the next one will continue it. Of course the story will have to be resonably good. Just because one's adding their own doesn't mean that it can be completely off track relative to the previous one... that way, by the end of the story, it would almost seem as if one person wrote the whole thing!?! albeit, with obvious different style!
this will give us a chance to learn how to work together, on how to pick up on someone's intentions... !! razz i'm quite excited about this!

Liway Your suggestions are in the works.
You could start the stroy in the subforum, writing a stroy, or in the Role Play subforum, whichever you feel it should go in.
I sort of already started one, The World of Kai, go ahead and check out it's beggining. The characters are located in the character profile subforum.
You could help me write that one if you like. In fact everyone is welcome to help me write it.
Pretty much everything goes in this guild.
So have fun creating what ever you wish to create.

That is what is so great about writing a stroy with another person, it takes on it's own direction, becomes something more than what was inteneded. Thoughs who help in its creation have free creative licencse with it.

If you're still thinking about doing the contest thing, then I have a sugestion. Have every one who enters the contest donate a certain amount of gold to the contest, then divvy out the gold to the winner and 2nd and 3rd (or however many you plan to do)places. That way it's not taking away from the guild, and every one still has fun. It doesn't have to be a lot, just an amount that every one can agree on.

I don't quite have a suggestion, but...
Ok. I was thinking about the people's stories in the making and others leaving comments. I personally don't mind people leaving comments in my thread where I'm building my story, but I'm sure others might for their thread.
However I would love to leave comments for them, as it is a form of encouragement, and good works should not go unnoticed.
So I thought, 'why not just make a comment thread?' But that's a bit too general. The posters would have to specify what they were commenting on, blah blah blah, it didn't seem like a good idea for some reason.
Then I thought, 'why not just make an extra thread for each story?' That would probably be too complicated and such, huh?
So I guess I'd just like to know who doesn't mind comments in their construction area, and who does. I don't want to annoy anyone by taking up space in their thread that could be used for making story instead.
