So, any nuisances you've come across recently? Online, offline, computer or not- it matters not. Post and let us know what's bugging you today.
------
Me? It's Firefox. I just had to update my computer a little while ago, and now Firefox is freezing on me and not loading any pages worth a damn. Everything else seems to be working fine (aside from the fact that Second Life is buggy... as usual), but Firefox is having issues. It surprised me, and it frustrates me to no end, as I've had to switch over to using Google Chrome, which means that I no long have my toolbars available to me. It'd be wonderful if I did, but I don't think that Google Chrome has become a big enough browser just yet to make most companies bother with making a toolbar for it just yet- ie, Gaia, which currently only supports IE and Firefox. The other toolbars I can live without, but not having my Gaia toolbars? That's just... frustrating, especially since I'm so used to having them there now.
Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to suffer until Firefox is no longer giving me problems.
EDIT- Well, the issue is not Firefox (though I don't like how quickly Firefox can hog memory); instead, something else is causing my CPU to be running double to quadruple what it should be, and I'm trying to get my system scanned so I can find out what's causing that. It's really irking me, as I should only be running at 10-30% CPU Usage right now with what's running, and I've been consistently running between 56 and 100% for the last two days. I'm currently working on getting a bit more software to try to scan my computer a bit more fully... If none of that works, though, I'm going to end up doing a system restore, which I'd like to avoid if at all possible. I'm seriously hoping that I can get this issue solved by tonight, because I don't want to be dealing with an overclocked CPU like how mine has been running.
If there are any suggestions that you have for software I should run (please not that free is about all I can afford right now), let me know! I'm currently running Ad-Aware, and I'm about to install Spybot. I'm also going to be running a full system scan with Norton while I'm at work, and I should be running Spybot before then.

Well, I figured out the issue... Not shutting down the computer for a long time wreaks havoc on your system; that's not something that I recommend, and not something that I intend to do again.

I never used to shut down my computer... nd now it's f***ed - it sounds like a jet engine when you start it up...

Is anyone else totally sick of hearing about Susan Boyle on a daily basis? If she were young and attractive, no one would even be giving her a moment's thought. At first I just avoided all the articles, but now they're everywhere. The site I check for Broadway news updates each time there's an interview or she announces her next song! I cannot wait for this woman's fifteen minutes of fame to be up!

I cannot wait for this woman's fifteen minutes of fame to be up! That kind of makes me glad that I don't pay an overly large amount of attention to the news. I watched the video for it, and I must admit, it was truly amazing to hear that. However, I know what you mean; I felt the same way with the over-coverage of 9-11. For as major of an event as that was, I was more mad at the media for covering 9-11 24/7 than I was at the people responsible by the time they finally relaxed the coverage to more normal levels... a week and a half after the fact.

The misshandling of 9-11 wasn't in the coverage but in the number of things that it was used as an excuse for...And the rest of what I typed was hightlighted be the ******** trackpad, which highlighted it and relaced it with a single letter. Yes, I have a nuisance. I've had a mouse for some time and with the exception of a slightly chewed cord, there's nothing wrong with it. Can anyone advise me on how I might just...Dig out this track pad without damaging this machine any more?

Can anyone advise me on how I might just...Dig out this track pad without damaging this machine any more? Generally, track pads have a disabling button to remove the issue. I believe there is also a way to turn off the track pad via the Control Panel, but I'll have to take a look at that later on due to work. If I remember tonight, I'll take a look for you to let you know where to look.

My brother's best friend is becoming a nuisance. It's been fun having him around, because I can talk to him about anything, because he's like my big brother, but he's being wayy over protective of me. It was fine at first, I told him to just cool off... Now it's just annoying, and it's come to a point I have to stand in front of the door to make sure he doesn't leave and go visit some people that have wronged me recently. I've given up talking to him, now though, and he's mellowed out, finally... But now I kind of lost my vent, but I'd rather have that then have him do something stupid because of it...

Major Nuisance in my life right now... I sat down to write my essay today and then discovered that mother dearest has gone to work with my folder in the car, since I never got it out after open home yesterday. Not amused..... Has anyone ever had that? You FINALLY get the time to do something, then you can't. I was about to scream then realised I was in the library.

The nuisances that come to mind right now...probably our internet providers. Seriously, damn Telstra and Bigpond...they just fail so hard. x.x Oh, and my inabilty to remember important things...I left my clothes at school today. Not sure yet what I'll be doing tomorrow, now, but I'll figure that out.

Well, now... It seems that I actually have two gripes today. The first one, though, is relatively small, but most certainly annoying. As some of you know, I've been coloring a couple of images for a few days, and I finally finished the second of them last night. In my want to make a new background, I decided that I wanted to see if I could change the background of the image into an "alpha channel"- for those of you who don't know what that is, it's the reason there's no color around your avatar along the top bar in Gaia. Seeing as how I can't seem to get that going, I've pretty much given up the attempt for the time being, though I may try it again soon.
My other gripe- which is actually more of a b***h- is Gaia itself. Sure, it's great and all that they're doing another Prom this year, but the prices in the Cash Shop and the Marketplace are outrageous! Every single item this year is fairly inexpensive except for the one good item! By far, Wed to Darkness is the best-looking item released for the even, but it is not worth the $7.49 that they're charging for it. The prices in the Marketplace are steadily going down, but they're still over 200k as of this posting. It's ridiculous, and the fact that they decided to charge so much for something that isn't an Evolving Item just pisses me off to seemingly no end. If it was $1.49 instead, I'd actually consider picking one up, but I am not spending that close to $10 on that, let alone 200k. Gaia seriously needs to reconsider how much they're going to charge for this s**t.

At least you don't have an exchange rate to deal with - $15 for the Wed to Darkness item, $6 for the Candycorn Fish, and $10 for the Kottan Bell which I love so much.

That would hurt, and I'm definitely glad that I don't. However, the pricing in general for the only decent Prom item is absolutely outrageous, with or without the exchange rate. It should be a fifth of what they're trying to sell it for, which is the point that I was trying to make. Exchange rate or not, the pricing is relative and still very much aggravating.

The actual monetary worth is the same though, isn't it? I mean $15 is the equivalent to $7.50 (or whatever it is in USD) right? Yeah, I bought it...I tend to tell Gaia that they can shove it when they release items so expensive, but you don't understand...It was a black tailed coat. I own every one that Gaia has released. This is one of the nicest, if you ignore the fact that this one ridiculously is about the length of a ******** half shirt, once again in order to cater to the female audience alone. If you wear something under it though (as I am and always will) it looks gorgeous, rather than the s**t-sandwich that it might be if worn by a male, by itself. For only (half of) one top, the price is outrageous, but I had to have it.
