After bleeding for 5 1/2 weeks I called the Dr. He wanted me in asap, and I told him I was sure I lost the baby. He gave me birth control and I started taking it. When the bleeding stopped I scheduled an appointment. I went in today only to find out I am still pregnant, I'm due Dec. 30th and the baby is 10 weeks along and very healthy and active. I can't believe how lucky we are! Thank you all for your thoughts, I still can't believe it! I'm still crying!
Sunday night I started light bleeding. It stopped and was never more than when I wiped. I started having grey tissue (grainy matter) when I urinate....normal for when I lose a baby. I've lost 5 before and I'm pretty sure I'm losing this one. Other than the pain, we're doing ok. Thanks for all the hopes and congrats. We pray to be lucky again soon. crying
I waited 1 week and just about 15 minutes ago I took another test. Double pink lines instantly! I'm still freaked out.... I honestly hope I'm back, as a soon to be mother, but here goes:
2 and a half weeks ago I had some light spotting. I needed to use a panty liner, as it was similar to pre-menstral bleeding. It lasted one day. I was kinda upset as I though, oh great I'm bleeding again after only 2 weeks. So, it's been 5 1/2 weeks since my last period, 2 1/2 weeks since the spotting , and no period or symptoms of an on coming one yet.
I have a very irregular period and I've had several miscarriages so I'm really in no hurry to test for fear of losing it and knowing. Can anyone confirm my symptom of spotting as a possible pregnancy? And could I pick up my pregnancy now if I tested?
We're just so afraid of heartbreak, even though 1 sweet angel seems enough for us. Thanks. heart

Well, we can't diagnose pregnancy. I would talk to your doctor and get a quantitative blood test since its more reliable in early pregnancy than a urine test.
But its possible! Some women have a light spotting at the beginning of their pregnancy. Was it a dark red, pink, or even brown? Some women even bleed their entire pregnancy.
Go take a test, and I wish you luck.

Like Preston said, there's no way we'll be able to tell you for sure. Spotting can mean pregnancy, but it can also mean other things too. You should be able to test accurately at this point if you want to though. Good luck.

I took a test the morning after I posted this, and it was negative. With my irregular period I'm not sure what's going on. But if I still haven't had a period within a week I'll retest and if it's negative I'll be going to a Dr.

Sometimes with irregular periods it is hard to tell if you're pregnant or not. Since you're actually trying to get pregnant the doctor most likely isn't going to do anything to regulate them.

I'm sorry for your loss. sad *hug* We're here if you need anything, please feel free to ask. I hope you two will be lucky again too.
Have you seen a doctor and asked if there's a reason why you've miscarried so many times, by any chance?

When I had insurrance it wouldn't cover testing. Now that I have only partial insurrance it won't cover anything other than visits. I haven't had a confirmation but I'd say it's polycystic ovary syndrome. The women in my family all have issues with cysts. My grandmother had an 8 lb. tumor removed when I was a child as well as a full hysterectomy, and my aunt just had her hysterectomy. My mother has a few cysts that look like a promised hysterectomy, so I'm fairly sure there are problems with me too. I have all the classic symptoms as a friend of mine with polycystic ovary syndrome told me to have myself checked for it. I just got lucky with my daughter so I hope to try again and hope to get lucky again.

If you had a miscarriage, you need to make sure because if there is left over tissue, it would cause some major problems.
Try going to a clinic. Some places offer a sliding fee program.
Don't judge your symptoms off of a friends, it may not be true. As family history dictates, yes, you may have problems, but you need to be seen to be sure.
But please, go see a doctor...we don't want to see you get hurt, or sick. sad
