So...he lied to the golden female. Sure he had left for a few moons, but he couldn't exactly leave the lands. There was something about them that he just...liked. He couldn't explain it. Was it the beauty of the lands that drew him back. Or was it the golden female that made him so upset the other day that drew him back? Ukir didn't know, but he had a feeling which of the two it actually was. He wasn't sure if he liked the idea of that either.
Actually, that was another lie. He was sure he liked the idea of that, just would Vi? Her strong attitude and will is probably what made him so attracted to her, but she had some flaws. Hell, he had flaws too. Was it true that opposites really attracted?
Right now, the crimson lion could be found near one of the hunting grounds. There were a few gazelles grazing on the yellow grass, but Ukir didn't feel like hunting. He needed to find the princess, and apologize to her for his attitude. He couldn't stay mad at her forever.

Vikali had finally decided that Ukir really had left, and it probably had been her fault. If she hadn't been such a b***h- no, there was no point in thinking that way. If she kept thinking thoughts like that it would just ruin her damn day, and get her no where. Seeing what she'd done wrong wasn't going to bring the red b*****d back to her. She smiled cruelly as she stalked through the lands, tail flicking.
Only if he knew how often she was thinking of him- he'd have a field day making fun of her for it. Things had gotten much duller since she'd stopped running into him, and it made her feel a bit distant from herself. She wasn't really sure what to do anymore. Hunting could only happen so often with just one mouth to feed... Koy and her were on better terms but her long time best friend was just too busy playing mother. She wondered how often she could actually tare Ki away from Dah- even though she didn't agree with their partnership she still had to accept it and at least give them a little space. Or maybe go find her own mother?
Her face blanched at the last part. "You're so bored you're insane enough to think that.." She muttered, and talk to yourself she thought, ironically. She finally brought her stunning blue eyes up to look around at her surroundings and she snorted. The hunting grounds... but what use were they right now?
She blinked and her head snapped left, a very light breeze had swept past and she thought... "Oh gods above.." She snarled out, looking slightly sick. She sat herself down and put a paw to her forehead. "I can't believe you miss him that much.." She muttered to herself. "I refuse to believe that... imagining his scent..." Oh she was never going to live this down.

Ukir lifted his head as a small breeze made its way past him. He enjoyed the light wind against the hot summer day. But there was something different about the wind. Not only did it blow past him, going behind him, but there was a weird shift, causing a small wind to come from behind. Within that wind was the scent of the golden lioness. He was always told that the world worked in mysterious ways, and this was definitely one of those times. He lifted himself from the ground, not knowing whether he should frown or smile.
Slowly, he made his way towards the others scent. It was now or never to apologize.

She'd slid to her stomach with a soft groan and had rolled to her back, eyes shut and her paws on her stomach. She couldn't believe she was starting to fall into insanity over such a big dummy! She rolled back over to her stomach, her eyes peeling open just slightly. "Why you had to fall for the b*****d in the first place..." She trailed off and after a minute sat up swiftly.
No, no! What was she even saying to herself? That wasn't true! She took it back... oh why was her heart beating so fast after admitting that? And why the hell was she still able to smell that jerk? She wrinkled her nose and shut her eyes. "Stop imagining things." Actually, she should tell herself to stop... talking to herself. She swallowed and tried to get Ukir out of her head but it was no use. She needed to go find something to keep her busy..
She opened her eyes and stood, turned to go and stopped immediately. Just ahead of her, coming toward her, was said lion she wanted to keep off her mind. Her eyes were wide and her expression slightly confused. Hadn't.... hadn't he left?

He had left, but good news (for who, we don’t know,) was that he was back. For good was a questionable subject, but for now he was here. He saw the golden lioness just ahead and a quick smile flashed upon his maw. This was now or never.
“Uh…Hey…Vi.” He spoke just as he neared her. There never was such an awful awkwardness when speaking to her before, so why was it there now?
“I’m…back,” he thought for a moment. There shouldn’t be this feeling, so why was he acting this way? He needed to go back to his old self. “Did you miss me, Kitten?” There, that was…slightly better.

As he came closer toward her she couldn't bring herself to move, but she at least managed to wipe the silly look of wonder off of her face. What it was replaced with wasn't much better, a slight frown and something of a hurt expression lingering. The b*****d had just been lying... he'd been doing this on purpose! "You really think you're funny, don't you?" She said slowly, a slight growl in her quiet words as she realized just how much he must really enjoy ******** with her. The nerve... and it wasn't fair! Making her think like he'd never come back... actually feeling something for the red b*****d!
Her ears pressed back against her skull at his usual teasing words, though she was mad and hurt enough to have noticed just how awkward he'd been seconds before. "You're a p***k, you know that?" She sneered, suddenly able to move again. She was headed right past him. "Telling lions you're leaving like it's for good and making them ******** think about you all the da..." She trailed off though as she realized what she was admitting to, and struggled to find a way to fix it. But really she didn't know, she was mentally kicking herself.

Ukir's brown eyes noticed a different expression on Vikali's face. He frowned slightly, before he heard her growl. He knew the kitten wasn't terribly sad, after all, she wouldn't have growled when she spoke. "Yes, I think I am hysterical. Everybody loves coming back to my shows when I do stand-up. I do a really good hyena impression, maybe I'll show you one day," at this he gave a wink.
"You've said that to me before Kitten. I think you need some new names." His ears perked forward. "Thinking about me, huh?" If a his smirk could get any wider on his maw it would've. "So you did miss me, huh?"

She breathed out hard through her nostrils as he continued on with his little joke. This was all just such a ******** game to him.. and it wasn't as if she could just walk away unhurt from it. Like a moron she'd grown attached to the fool. She was glad her back was to him as she moved past, glad his back was to her. She wanted to tell him he looked like a hyena, was just as disgusting and scumy as a hyena... he didn't care that she'd been all alone... no one to bother and- ugh she disgusted herself!
"Hah, I think you need some new hobbies." She spat out, her words dull and quiet as she hesitated in continuing forward. so you did miss me... his words came out taunting to her ears and her face crumpled slightly, staring ahead as she shook her head softly.
She suddenly whirled around to stalk back to face him. "Yes, I missed you Ukir. I ******** missed you, i ******** think about you... right, you've won you sick little twisted game.. alright?" She snarled, her voice slightly hysterical but she was not shouting, just speaking louder than usual.

Ukir's eyes widened. Well, that really wasn't the answer he was expecting. He was expecting her to say something along the lines of 'No, what are you ******** nuts! I hate you, why'd you have to return, you better stay away from my kids you b*****d!' ....yeah, totally off the spectrum.
For once, Ukir was speechless. No witty comment to return, no nothing. Just a blank stare towards teh golden lioness, and a big gulp after a moment.
s**t, how was he suppose to respond to this... Change the subject? Nah, to obvious... Hmm..
"I knew you'd miss me." His voice was soft, but still held that witty tone.

The blank, surprised look on his face did nothing but comfuse her more, it certainly hadn't lessoned the ugly, angry look on her maw. And when he did reply... well, she could have cuffed him so hard! Her claws dug into the ground as she just shook her head in disbelief, her mind barely registering the fact that his voice had gotten lower if only because he still sounded like he was trying to be witty! Talk about finding a sharp rock, stabbing it in and then twisting!
"Of course. Of course you knew that!" She spat, tail lashing behind her. "That had been the whole point, hadn't it Ukir? Just ******** hang around until you actually figured I'd have feelings for you... and it's so rediculous! And I can't believe I fell for it! And to come back here... and make a fool of me! To taunt me like this... what the ******** is your problem? Do this a lot with your life, huh?" She sneered, her voice sometimes a vicious quiet and other's rising almost hysterically because the words were spilling from her maw faster than she could actually think about what she was admitting to, her emotions had boiled over more than she thought possible and no longer was she able to play along with this game!

Ukir had gone too far, and he knew it. Does he apologize though? Does he need to let the female know it is all a joke, it is just for fun? Maybe it was her who was just being overly dramatic about this situation...? Was Ukir cruel to think like that. "I'm sorry," it was an apology at least. "I didn't think the jokes were making you feel this terrible..." What else could he say?

"Sorry?" She snarled, the anger on her face crumbling to hurt as she realized she'd still been holding onto a tiny hope that perhaps he felt- gods above she was so terribly stupid! "You are by far the biggest ******** jerk I have ever had the misfortune to meet!" she hissed, trying hard to place that anger back on her maw, but it seemed to be no use.
She turned and began stalking the way she'd at first been going, feeling so... so terrible! How could she have fallen for him like that? She glanced slightly left and behind her, but she refused to turn her head enough to actually see him. She picked up her pace until she was actually running! Oh how embaressing this all was- how dramatic.
Still... her chest hurt, so much! She needed Koy... but how could she? Koy had her new family to worry about... well she needed something! He'd played her to be a fool completely... through and through! even so much as to hope the smallest bit that he'd feel the same right to the very end...
Well. At least... now she could be done with it. Finished! No more Ukir and his stupid... stupid mind games!
She realized she was at her den finally and slipped in, curling herself into a ball in the darkest corner, eyes shutting as her body shook and she tried to calm herself. Right, it would be the end!
