"RIKK!" The bulky young man growled, trying desperately to reach just a little further back on the shelf to where the Dark blue flit was hiding, someone else's complex shell necklace hanging from his jaws. The flit could have easily disappeared 'between' and taken his prize with him, but he seemed to have a pretty good idea that he couldn't be reached.
Rayale's other flit, a pale, sky blue with pale cloud like markings, was clinging to the back of his light tunic, a loose affair he'd acquired since he'd come here, much more suited to Ista's damp clinging heat that his more familiar attire. The paler flit was offering no particular help, though from the way it was chittering it seemed to find the entire affair, particularly the other blue's pursuit, amusing.
"You little...Give it back! I need to return that!"

It was definitely an interesting sight, though it also placed the very square young man between the shelf he had half climbed, if tentatively, and getting anything on it.

Yansanth... that wasn't even yours to begin with, and now it's GONE. Honestly, was has gotten into you? First chasing tunnel snakes, and now nabbing other people's jewelry?

The little gold hung her head as she trundled along at the side of her Mine, her tail dragging on the ground behind her as she exuded immense sorrow. I didn't know it was someone's. ...It was on the floor... and Gnattie found it first...

Said flit was no where in sight, but perhaps all for the better, as it was almost positive that the green thing would be chattering away at being pinned for such blame. ... Even though it was probably rightly given.

Even so... You should have just left it. Then we wouldn't have to be the ones trying to find it... Annelie glanced down at the dragonet with a definite look of disappointment, but her mind wasn't as bogged with the emotion as she let on, and she bent over just enough to let her hand rub the side of Yansanth's head as they rounded a corner.

The little dragon let out a sudden chortle, but clammed up a moment later when both she and her Mine saw ...a rather odd sight.

"Um..."

"Uh?" Rayale made an uncertain noise as he looked over his shoulder, blinking in shock as he realized he was being observed, and then blushing furiously. "Oh...uh...." He stammered, pointing vaguely to the top of the shelf, where an triumphant chitter gave away the location of the dark blue flit. "My flit...he uh..." He started, then let out a sputter as his grip let loose on the shelves, which had never been intended to be scaled like a ladder, and he dropped to the floor with an loud "OOF!" And an flutter of wings as the paler flit burst into the air with an outraged burst of noise that his perch be so interrupted. How dare gravity intervene like that!
"OW! Sorry!" He apologized hastily, trying to get back to his feet and explain at the same time, looking between the girl and her very distinctive young dragon. "My flit, he's got someone's necklace and I can't get it back....sorry! I mean...it's not yours is it? Sorry if it's yours, he's not very bright...Neither of them..."
Oh Faranth, he was making an idiot of himself in front of the new Queen rider. That was fantastic.

The pair cringed as the young man crashed to the ground, Annelie raising a hand to her mouth to stifle a small gasp and "oh!" She took a half step backwards, but then came forward one, as if that somehow helped the situation. Meanwhile, the young queen occupied herself with watching the chattering, flapping flit.

They weren't exactly the best in a crisis, were they?

"It's... uh. ...Are you okay?" Annelie asked quietly after a long moment. She glanced her own eyes up at the unhappy flit, but quickly returned her attention back to the stumbling man as he explained what he had been doing. A necklace?

The young woman looked over at Yansanth. "Yansanth... what was the necklace made out of?"

Yansanth wiggled her nose before snapping her attention to her Mine. Necklace?

... Yansanth, you seriously couldn't have forgotten already. The thing you found in the hallway that was lost

OH! the little dragonet began, her tail swishing as she nodded to herself. I don't know. ...hard things? She gave a small grin, happy enough with the answer.

Annelie sighed. "That's helpful, Yan." She looked back to the man. "Is it... made of ... um... W-what's it made of?"

"Nothing injured but my pride." Rayale joked, blushing furiously. "It's um. It's made of shells." He gestured vaguely at the dark blue flit, who helpfully wandered forward enough to display the complex necklace of shells hanging from his jaws.
Rayale himself had a small shell on a cord around his neck, which he thought had probably inspired the flit's actions to some degree. "I'm really sorry." He added again. "Really sorry."

Annelie blushed as she shook her head at the apologies, them being unnecessary. "Y-you don't need to apologize," she commented, before hurriedly adding that the necklace wasn't theirs. "Yansanth had found it in the Weyr, and... then it went missing and so... " She trailed off and wrung her hands, biting her lip in a nervous fashion. When she finallysaw the necklace hanging from the blue flit's mouth, she looked back at the young Queen.

Is that it she asked, and quickly pointed a finger at the jewelry while still watching the dragonet.

Um... I don't remember? Oh I'm sorry, Mine! I think it is?

"That could um... possibly be the necklace in question, though..." Annelie relayed to the man. Yansanth moved to plop down at the side of Hers, her head tilted at the dark blue flit on the shelf.

Ooooooh, Anneelieeeee, isn't he cute?!

"Well, I guess that doesn't answer who it does belong to..." He sighed slightly, glowering at the Flit, who flicked his wings and looked smug and pleased to be the center of attention, particularly the attention of the Gold dragon, for whom he postured boldly, earning a snort from Rayale.
"She's ten times your size at least, you little crook!" He noted. The paler blue flit made an amused noise and flapped it's own wings, sailing up to the top shelf with it's darker blue companion.
Rayale looked flustered, clamoring to his feet and dusting himself off, offering the girl a sort of awkward cross between a nod and a bow. He wasn't really sure how he was supposed to treat the young Goldrider, but he imagined it was with respect. besides she was a girl and she was stuttering, so he'd probably scared her.
"I'm sorry..." He added again. "...I'll um. Try getting something from the kitchen, maybe I can bribe him down."

Yes... totally adorable Annelie commented with dry sarcasm, which Yansanth didn't catch or understand at all, and so just swished her tail on the ground like an amused and happy puppy.

Maybe he can come home with us, then we'd have the necklace! The Queen gave a smile at her idea, and looked to Hers and then back up at the dark flit, giving what seemed to be something of an audible laugh as the little creature postured atop the shelf.

Annelie could only shake her head, no longer trying to explain that all the flits in the weyr belonged to other people. Instead, she left Yansanth to her cooing and readjusted her attention to the man once more.

She lifted a hand for a second and opened her mouth to try and say that apologies really weren't necessary, but she stopped a moment later and nodded her head instead. "Yes.. that could work. ...They tend to like meatrolls... I know that there are always a few kept in a basket near the um.. oh... the chopping block next to the wash tubs." She gave a short nod of her head to affirm her words. At least they were always there when she had been in the kitchens, which wasn't all that long ago, really.

"...Yeah, that's probably a good idea." He rubbed his arms faintly, offering her an awkward grin again. "...Can you uh.... Can you...distract him just for a minute? Please? I know you must be really busy, but I'd really appreciate it."

Annelie nodded her head, "yeah... yeah I can do that. Or Yansanth can." She moved closer to the shelves where the problem flit was, and Yansanth followed, eager to see the little creature up close.

...She was quite eager, in fact, and she sat up on her haunches to try and get a better, closer look. Pretty little flit, come down come down! she crooned.
