I have, quite often in fact. Most notably, I felt genuinely sad with COD 4 SPOILER!
the deaths of the SAS squad at the end of the game.
Most recently I actually felt hurt and betrayed when FAR CRY 2 SPOILER! your buddies turn on you. I felt both dissapointed and angry for about six hours...

How about you folks?
(No Aeris stories allowed!)

No aeris stories, haha! I think it's more emotional when the avalanche team falls, it gets me all choked up.

I will admit the Final Fantasy X through the whole thing got me going.

Chrono Cross, same thing, all the time.

I agree with the chao thing, and I've never deleted one sense that.

When I was younger, I nearly pissed myself everytime I played resident evil. pirate Fear's an emotion.

yes i get attached to them so when they die, or some thing bad happens i feel for them. im not sure if this counts
but once i was in a lvl 25area in ff12 and i was lvl 15maybe lol
i was trying to complete this side quest by getting all these items i died so many times till i run into the second parter of the area ( i know what an idiot) ran out ran incirlces in this one area ran back in till i had all 3 times. then made a mad dash for the exit (in the wrong freaking direction gonk ) got lost and turned around and by time i found it, it was just me (vaan) left with 25 hp LOL. then i tried to go for the third part of the million in a lvl 40 area. needless to say that one was not a success at the time. but omg my heart was pumping so fast not sure if this counts.

Well I felt joy when I was about 9 when I kept making lara croft jump off the buildings in the London level of tomb raider 3.

I suppose when meryl died in the bad ending of mgs was the first time when I felt a bit sad for someone in a game dying.

Also when jenny gets shot in the darkness.. That was written really well.

Aeris I didnt care about because she was a weak annoying b***h..

I felt seriously pissed off when EVA turned out to be a b***h and stole the info on the philosophers legacy and ******** off after a 1 night stand on mgs3.. Like, what a b***h.

Hmm.. yeah, I have that sometimes.

I cried when Axel died in Kingdom Hearts 2, but that was only because I was sad that such an awesome character died.

And when I finished Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.. I was like, 'Nooooooooooo!!!! I don't want this game to end. Don't go Midna!!'
;.;

Sounds kinda lame, but I didn't like it at all.. >.>

As for feeling odd when you finish a game, I actually had a lump in my throat while watching the ending credits of MGS3: Snake Eater for the first time.
Ironic, considering the lyrics of the ending theme.

I balled my eyes out at the end of FFX ~ Teared up when Alex died ~ The who Shuyin and Lenne thing in FFX-2 is just depressing.

Aww, no Aeris stories? But I felt such genuine emotion when she died... I was genuinely happy that Tifa had no competition anymore.

Honestly, though. I think that anyone who regularly plays games, and has never been emotionally touched by one, is playing the wrong games.

The ending to every Metal Gear Solid game affects me emotionally on some level. Some of the Silent Hill games, too. And oh god, Persona 3 and 4, absolutely. There's definitely more.
