For us here on the East Coast, sixteen is the minimum legal driving age. We get a special learner's permit for six months, must drive with a household member over twenty-one and licensed, then we get another learner's permit for another six months where we must drive alone during that time. By the time we're seventeen, we should get our provisional licenses at which point we have the same rights as any driver, but we still have restricted hours ( 5 AM to 11 PM, I believe. ) At eighteen, we should be able to get our full-fledged licenses. I'm nearly sixteen, or rather I will be come Fall of '09, and I'm scared to get my license. I passed my state mandated test ( just barely. XP 4 points about the passing minimum. XD ) last quarter during our school's Driver's Theory class. I practice at home when I have the chance ( and the conditions ) by driving around our neighborhood. We're a pretty calm neighborhood with minimum traffic so I don't have to worry much about other cars. But I've yet to do the six hours needed to get the learner's permit, because I have to have completed sixteen years. I'm a little scared to get out on the real road and drive there with all the knuckle-heads and the non-knuckle-heads, but I'm pretty excited too.
What about you, my lovely L.T.S-ians? Are you excited for driving, when you come of age in your area? Or, if you're already driving, how do you feel about it? Is it an exciting thing to do, or just a part of your every day life that's already lost it's spark? How do you feel about driving and cars in general? Do you want to own a eco-friendly car? Or a car that's got great miles per gallon? Or do you just not care because you use the family car?

We start driving, and can get our full licenses when we are 17. So I've been legally able to drive for like.. the past year and a bit. But I don't have any intentions of learning to drive any time soon, or ever actually, to be honest. xD

I'm excited to drive! I'm really nervous though cuz I feel like what if I get in an accident and it's entirely my fault? It's such an inconveniance to both groups (or more). And what if someone gets hurt eek ! I wouldn't be able to forgive myself!
And btw Spazz, it's from 5am to midnight. I know cuz Marc drives and he always has to leave before midnight. 3nodding

My sister is almost old enough to drive nao... She couldn't care less. D: I find it appalling. Why don't you want to learn to drive, Onee-tan? "I dunno. I just don't." I think she hit her head on sommat. ;D

I used to always go back and forth. I would say "I'll never drive! It's bad for the enviroment!" For about a month and a half, I had a phobia of driving because whenever I'd be in the front seat with my mum, I'd always think she wouldn't stop in time and whatnot. XDD

I had that after I got in a fender bender with my sister. It was a really small thing. She almsot didn't even get a ticket! One car stopped short at a light, the next stopped just in time to only bump the first, then my sister unluckily had no chance of avaiding it. It was still just a bump though Afterwards my mom is driving with my sister and I, she stops kinda short and both me and my sister gasp and hold our breath loud enough to hear. lol That's a little bit of why I'm afraid.
