yeah in the UK it'll be aired at Christmas. they were talking about how big the gap was between the two specials.

I thought it will be before Christmas in like October because it didn't say "This Christmas", it said "Later this year", and I seem to remember a DT interview on the news saying Sep/October. One of the -bers.

i personally doubt that the master will make any appearance in this upcoming special, but I couldn't help but notice the following anagrams:
the waters of mars=war of the masters
waters of mars=master of wars

Frantic Femme Fatale i personally doubt that the master will make any appearance in this upcoming special, but I couldn't help but notice the following anagrams: the waters of mars=war of the masters waters of mars=master of wars That's probably a coincidence. Annograms in Doctor Who always tend to be coincidence, like Sam Tyler = Masterly. That couldn't have been intended because John Sim only decided to be the Master long after Life on Mars.

Fourscarf I'm hoping the Rani will make a comeback like the Master did. I don't think the next special will be aired on Christmas for two reasons:
a) They usually advertise the Christmas specials as Christmas specials and the next special was advertised as happening, "Later This Year."
2... er b) There are 3 or 4 more specials left (I forgot how many they said they'd do) if the next one didn't come out until Christmas, they'd have another year of Specials. It has been announced that the year 2010 they'll have the fifth series.

The next episode looks awefully creepy. biggrin Can't wait.
The Ice Warriors are a good theory, but I agree that since the theme seems to be water, not ice, it's a bit unlikely... Then again, I haven't found any Ice Warriors episodes, yet, among the Classic!Who DVDs I got, so I don't know a thing about them...

Likely because Jacobi!Master said that Roberts!Master was the voice of reason, and there's a joke on that livejournal community about Roberts!Master being campy and an "embarrassing chapter of the Master's life," quoth another macro where Simm!Master tries to join the Evil League of Evil. Therefore, sense out of his mouth in any story intended to be funny will probably cause the universe to collapse.
