Sinbad:
Sinbad was a living, breathing mountain of defiance, and so long as the pride allowed him to remain, he'd remind everyone he came into contact with of that fact. He walked with his head thrown upwards, shoulders rolled back, and maw curled into a sly smirk. He walked as a lord in his domain. Few knew his name, it wasn't really something he sought to keep a secret, but it humored his darker side to have them scratching at their heads in frusteration when they wanted to address him.

He had taken up a small den for himself and his children. Ali Baba and Badieh were the only ones who seemed to -want- to live with him. Ali presently sat outside of the den, his eyes narrowed as he ran a claw through the hardened ground, his mouth pulling back into a smirk.

Badieh:
She wasn't sure if she liked the change yet, liked the new-ness of everything, the strange faces that were unfamiliar, but she had those that she cared for deeply close to her her father and brother. Though she never told him outloud, Badieh had a certain respect and sibling love, although sometimes it leaned towards rivalry, with her dark masked brother. But in ehr crimson eyes, they were from true blood decent, they were pure as much as they could be, and in a desert now bound together in one pride, it was a strange sensation. How would they regain the desert, and, if ever?

"Father?" she called, it was father when she wasn't sure who was around, daddy when she and Sinbad were alone together. Emotions were a strange thing, and Badieh didn't want to seem weak, but emotions were useful, to harness, manipulate, and use against others, that she knew. "Father?" she called again, sitting on her haunches a little from the den as her eyes narrowed and her smirk fell into an annoyed frown, she flicked her tail, would wait a few moments more until she roared for him...and when she roared, she cmplained as oud as she could in that one sound.

Ali Baba:
"You big baby...", Ali Baba smirked a bit more as his claws ground against the rough dirt. He loved the feeling. Loved how the ground would crumble and crack away form his claws. It was almost intoxicating. "Can't go half a day without 'daddy' watching you."

He sat back and began inspecting his claws, "You need a hobby."

Badieh:
"Shut up, Ali," she snapped with a sneer on her maw. Yes, she loved him, but dispised him as well, not for the fact that he was male, and might, might be physically stronger than her when adult, but because he had more color, more like their father, she nly had the red, the mark, but her father loved her. Daddy, loved her. "At least I'm not the one that plays with dirt day after day," flicking her tail she curled it around herself, waiting, waiting impatiently as she looked towards the den, wondered if he was home. Was he hunting? She couldn't smell blood yet, distant, distant as of late. What happened, who talked to him, who dare talk to him?

"FATHER!" she roared, standing up and letting her claws come from her toes as her eyes were narrowed, glaring, and then she glanced to Ali, daring him to say something, she wouldn't hold back, no regrets, but there was more important things to discuss, to plan, to figure out. (end)

Ali Baba:
"At least my claws are sharper than my whimpering." He glared right back, smirking, the way his father often would. He wanted her to try her luck, wanted her to pounce him....wanted her to start a fight he was sure that he could finish. Unfortunately- the shadow of their father soon fell over both of them.

Sinbad:
"Alright alright....sheesh." Sinbad padded up lazily, his smile softening as he approached. "I just needed some air. You two aren't fighting again are you?"

"Nope." Ali placed his paws down in front of him. "I'm sharpening my claws- she's whining."

Badieh:
"I am NOT whining!" Badieh snarled and wanted to jump on Ali at that moment, but her father had appeared, she smirked, and closed the gap between her and her beloved father, "He wasn't sharpeneing his claws father, he was playing with dirt, dirt doesn't sharpen anything," she drew it out on her tongue, trying to rub Ali's pelt the wrong way. "Everyone knows that it takes a certain surface to do that," she ignored Ali for a moment, looking at her father, she had her crimson eyes look over his pelt, any cuts, missing fur? No, but a faint stench was on his pelt, but there was no fresh blood on him. "Did you go hunting father?" if he had, she wished she could ahve gone, she wanted to hunt and train alongside her father along with learning from the lioness she was apprenticed to.

"Father, I thought we should talk bout what we are going to do, this change...it happened so fast..." she knew it was not best to dwell on it, but it bothered her, and what the Safi were told to do, so she heard, what were they going to do exactly, how were they going to act, what was the next step?

Ali Baba:
Ali rolled his eyes. He wasn't the largest in the litter, but he liked to think he was the most thick-skinned of the lot. It took more than a few snide remarks to get under his skin, though perhaps later he'd nibble on his sister's ears to make her eat her words back.

He started to look his claws over, ignoring Badieh right back. If she wanted to play that game...

Sinbad:
"I went hunting after you guys ate." He pulled her closer to rub her back with the side of his paw. "Then I met another lioness. Airheaded as they come." He growled, his eyes shifting over his shoulder, "They're turning our pride into mistweavers! Drawing on rocks, keeping records....all this complexity. Not our style."

He sat himself down with a heavy 'plop'. "Well the Goddess said to spread the flame from the inside."

Ali Baba:
"Infultrate...", Ali chuckled, "Like a parasite...bursting out of the enemy's flesh while it's still alive!"

Badieh:
"A lioness?" she said the phrase like it was poisonous. She looked at ali, but her stare this time was not one of rivalry, more of silent understanding, almost as a silent apology, she hoped, that by now, he understood how she worked. Somewhat like her father without understanding or expressing too many emotions, she didn't hate her brother afterall. "Carving?" surprise, shock even. However, Badieh could see the use if it was a tribute to the Goddess, but other than that, hmm. She looked to Ali as he spoke, and she grinned and looked up to ehr father Though the plan meant 'sharing' outside of the family, it would create more of a family for them to have...to 'use,' to train.

"Was she air headed because of intelligence and strength, or the carvings?" she looked to Ali, and nodded at him, "I think Ali is right father, the goddess said to spread the flame, but so far, no such thing has happened, from the inside it has to occur and catch aflame..." she didn't want to say it in obvious terms, obviously her father would ahve to understand how she would feel about it...but, it would have to be done, in the Goddess' wishes...wouldn't it?(end)

Sinbad:
"An idiot lioness." He chuckled, "A lame one to boot. Spends her time 'getting to know everyone' and write their names and images on stone slabs. She should be working on building strength in her weak leg and sharpening her claws on lesser lions."

Ali Baba:
Ali gave a short nod in response and pushed himself up to all four. "A weak minded and body then... blech." He stepped foward, "But....she knows everyone in the pride. Which means she may know who they're related to."

Sinbad:
"Tracing lineages?" He looked to the side. That was another angle too....she knew everyone's ancestors. If they were strong, if they were pure, if they were warriors, outsiders, pride-landers.... "I see...."

Badieh:
"An idiot perhaps in doing those acts, but father, if she has an injured leg, that shows that she did have strength someone believed in, that she was, if not now, was worth something to someone, Kidondo, No even? I am assuming she is an outsider come in during the rebellion as you've not said her name, or had her seem familiar. But father, who is to say that, whatever strength she had before ehr injury, couldn't be invested in the future?" Ali was intelligent, besides having strength...Badieh knew there was a reason she liked him over others.

"Ali is right father, she'll know who is from who, if nothing else, that shows some minute intelligence within her..." Badieh stopped for a moment, thought, and traced lines in the sands while trying to plan, "Did she accept you father? As you were around her? Or was she resistent to how we are?" Badieh looked up again, gave a smirk, "Did she have...a rebellious, tendency to her?" PIecing together the puzzle...(end)

Sinbad:
"She was...different." He sighed and rolled onto his side. It felt strange to be getting advice from his cubs. But they weren't still seething as he was, they had a clarity that he was lacking. Another angle in the situation. Presently, all Sinbad could think about was the indegestion he was feeling from even implying that the firekin would one day become like the mistweavers. Story telling, wall painting, prayer-chanting runts...weak, pathetic.

"She was kind of rebellious, once I rubbed her the wrong way, heh...but she seems the type to want to see the good in everyone. It's...disgusting."

Ali Baba:
"Well...it can be used." He glanced to his sister and offered a short nod, "Let her see the good in you...get what you want, take what you need, and leave her when you've gotten all you need. It'll be a favor to her really, a lesson in life while you come out with more...perhaps you'll gain the goddess' favor."

Badieh:
Badieh moved to her father as he lay on his side and climbed onto his back, laying somewhat on his mane and looking at Ali from her strange angle. They were such scheming little monsters were't they? "Good in others, then after what Ali has said...separate them out, or take them early, even give her the false hope that you would be a good 'mentor'" Badieh couldn't bring ehrself to say father, "to the little furballs. Shape them as you wish while she is not in their presence. I am sure that we," she lay her head in the fur of his mane," can be more influencial than she. Even so, one would be a start..."

It would fuel others and give ideas to the others who had followed here. Perhaps someday all those that had left would return in knowing what was occuring, but then again, a start was a start. Closing her eyes, she let ehr paws on his side, holding herself to her father, "NO matter what happens, d-father..." she caught herself, though she knew Ali would hear her, "I'll always love you..."

Ali Baba:
"We shouldn't be setting ourselves apart just yet..." Ali took a seat and leaned himself against one of Sinbad's paws. "Keep your head down....be eager to learn. Absorb every little detail, you'll soon see holes in their system. Learn to exploit every one. Gain their trust."

Sinbad:
"Hm..." He nodded a bit. Gain their trust... learn which lionesses were worthy to bear his children then fill this....weak society with his offspring. He smirked, "You two are brilliant. How did I ever come to deserve you?"

Badieh:
"Deserve?" Badieh pushed against her father's head with a paw, "Father, we have proved ourselves, and we will contnue to do so, THAT is the Firekin way," nothing was easily given, earning their keep, showing their loyalty adn strengths. Badieh nestled herself on top of her father's mane, and purred, though her tail slid off from his back and felt the top of Ali's head and she smiled and held a giggle inside. The future was looking brighter, with new fires being set in the sands.
