Ty went out of the house to the pizzeria. He hop/flew his way down there, and when he got there, a waitress, Danielle, was outside greeting all the customers. He smiled.
"Good morning sir," she nodded her head a little.
"Thank you!" He replied to her, went in and took a seat near the side window.

"Cody," Shadai said warningly as the hand, that wasn't being tightly held by her, started to make its way towards the pocket that held her car keys. Pouting, the toddler pulled his hand back and looked around, suddenly noticing the pizza place.
"OOH! THERE! Can we go, mum? Can we? Pweeeeaaaaassseee?" Cody asked, already starting to drag her towards the pizzeria. Giggling softly, Shadai could only agree to the toddler's demands and quicken her pace so as to not be left behind as the toddler ran for the shiny silver doors.
As they entered the pizzeria, they were greeted by the waitress, Danielle, and a sight Shadai was slightly surprised to see. Over by the window was what looked like another child from the facility she had gotten Cody from only a few days beforehand. She could only suspect that the lab techs had been experimenting for a far longer time than she had thought, which meant... A sudden tug on her hand brought her mind back to earth and to Cody, whom had already spotted the other spawn and obviously wanted to meet him.
"Hello!" Cody said brightly, standing at the edge of the table. Already his eyes had glanced over the other, searching for shiny items to add to his collection. Yet, there was nothing that was easily accessible without throwing a tantrum and doing that with his mother just a few feet away spelled trouble. A disappointment, but not enough to damper his mood at seeing someone who looked at least slightly similar to him.

Tykier was surprised to see a young, yet new, spawn from the building. He smiled at the toddler, "Why, hello there! What's your name?"
Ty blinked his eye at the child's hair, and saw that there was beautiful pinkish-orange feathers in it, "Those are gorgeous feathers..!" He met only one spawn from the facility that had feathers in his hair, and that was Ford.

Cody giggled, touching the feathers in his hair. "I'm Cody. Thank yew, your wing is pwetty too... What your name?" he asked, suddenly noticing the pale blue feathers on one of his arm wings. They looked so soft... and beautiful... No, he couldn't take any. Shadai would scold him and the far older spawn wouldn't like him if he suddenly took some of his feathers. He could wait for one to fall off, waiting for stuff wasn't so bad so long as he got the item in the end.
"Why you have one eye?" Cody asked curiously, not even realizing he probably sounded rude or that he was going to receive a lesson on being polite once Shadai took him home. Oh well, he was a curious toddler, not much that could be changed about that now.

"Thank you, my name's Tykier Hilson, but you may call me Ty. Every one of my friends do," he smiled a warm and soothing smile.
"Well, I don't know exactly except the fact that I was born with it..." He was used to people asking those types of questions, "Would you care to join me?"

Cody grinned and nodded, looking back at his mother. "Can I? Pwease mummy? Pwease?" he asked, trying as hard as he could to look as cute and innocent as possible.
Shadai hesitated before nodding, figuring she would find a table close by, just in case. "Sure, as long as you don't take anything. That includes silverware and whatever else you can find," she replied, giving in to the toddler.
"Yay! Thank yew mummy!" he giggled, hugging his mother tightly before trying to climb onto the seat, using his wings as much as possible to gain that extra couple inches of height and topple onto the seat. It was a lot taller than he had thought it to originally be.
"Be good, I'll be over here if you need me so don't wander off, Cody," Shadai called, taking a seat at a nearby table so she could watch without hovering or seeming too terribly overprotective.

Cody paused and tiled his head curiously at the mention of the unfamiliar food.
"Peetza? What's peetza?" he asked, having never heard of the word before. No, yes he had heard it before, when Arytiss was complaining about having to cook and had been talking about ordering some pizza. His mother had said no and that they had plenty to eat without wasting food, and that the other woman would eat the whole thing anyways.
It had been an interesting argument to listen to, and the perfect chance to sneak into Ary's room and take something of hers. She had a lot of neat, and extremely shiny things in her room, that was for sure.
"Is it good? 'Cause if is, then sure!" the toddler added, grinning.

Ty laughed, "It's a delicious cheesy food, it has bread crust, tomato sauce, and melted cheese!" He explained as best he can, "So do you want to try it?"
As he said that, the waiter came up to the table, and another waiter came up to Shadai. The two waiters asked them both, "What would you like to have..?"

Cody thought for a moment. Tomatoes, cheese, and bread? Sounded more like a sandwich... But if Ty said it was good, then it must be.
"Sure, peetza sounds good," the toddler replied, still unable to correctly speak the unusual word. As the waiter approached, his eyes wandered up and onto his pen. It was a pretty red color with a shiny silver top... 'No, mum said not to take anything and to behave... But it is so shiny...' the toddler thought, then wondered if he could somehow grab the pen without her, Ty, or his mother noticing...
No chance, he'd have to ignore it and wait for something better. He doubted he could grab it even if he stood on the chair and hovered a bit. Eventually Cody tore his eyes away from the pen and stared at the colorful menu, unable to read what it said, but able to enjoy the pictures while the older spawn ordered their pizza.
Shadai simply asked for two slices of pepperoni pizza and a glass of water as the waiter asked for her order. As she glanced over to her son, the woman couldn't help but notice that greedy look in his eyes as he stared at her pen. Thankfully, the toddler looked away without doing anything else. A soft sigh of relief escaped from her, glad that she didn't have to calm him down during one of his tantrums or somehow get the pen back to the waiter. Both of which were tiresome and fairly embarrassing to go through.

Tykier ordered a slice of cheese pizza for Cody, and a cheese pizza with black olives for himself. "I saw the greedy look in your eye from earlier on about my feathers," he laughed, "Would you want one..? I can regrow them..!" He said as he plucked one of his feathers off of his right arm, and handed it to Cody, "There, something for you to remember me by..!"
Both waiters went back to give the orders to the chef, and less than a minute late, they came back with their orders, two slices of pepperoni for Shandai, one slice of cheese for Cody, and a slice of cheese and black olives for Ty.

Cody grinned and happily took the feather, clutching it close to his chest. "Mine at last!" he muttered, lightly stroking the feather. It were so soft, like the ones in his hair. But this one was blue, not peach and it was from Ty. Frowning, he looked around. There was no where to put it except for his pocket, but there it might get crumpled and bent.
As the waiter returned, he placed the feather in his lap for safe keeping while he ate. Oh how the food smelled good! It looked nothing like how he had thought it to be. In fact, it looked way better than a plain, boring sandwich.
Giggling, Cody picked up the slice of pizza and took a small bite off the pointed end. Almost instantly his eyes widened; pizza tasted really good!
"Peetza does taste good! Why you get those black things?" the toddler asked, suddenly noticing that Tykier's pizza looked slightly different than his. As he waited for a response, the toddler began to eat the slice of pizza, enjoying the new taste immensely. Why hadn't his mother given him such delicious food before? It was strange, but he didn't fully care at the moment. He was hungry and the pizza was just absolutely delicious to him.
Shadai glanced over at Cody one last time before turning her attention to her food. He had a strange feather in his lap that appeared to be from Tykier's wing. Odd, perhaps he had given it to the toddler to please him or something... Ah well, she could question it later; lunch came first, then confusing thoughts and strange curiosities.

Tykier smiled down at him, "These are black olives... You know those green round things in a jar your Mom keeps in the fridge..?" He took a bite out of his slice.

"Oh... Olives..." Cody echoed, wondering why someone would put them on a pizza. He thought they tasted gross and refused to eat them the first time Shadai tried to feed them to him. Not only that, but they smelled funny to him and was glad when Arytiss agreed with him, much to Shadai's amazement.
Slowly, the toddler consumed the rest of his pizza, chewing thoughtfully with each bite. Well, so far he had gotten a beautiful feather from his newly found friend, but he had yet to get that pretty pen from the waiter. He vaguely wondered if Shadai would buy him one...
His musing was cut short as he suddenly ran out of pizza. How disappointing. His mother would be back soon to take him home, but he didn't want to go home yet!
"Where's your mommy?" he asked, realizing suddenly that Ty didn't have any sort of parent hovering nearby, or so he thought. He hadn't seen one when he walked in and the idea that Ty might be able to wander freely due to his age hadn't occurred to him quite yet.

Slowly biting into his pizza, he explained, "Well, my "mother" lets me go out whenever I want to because of how old I am... And because I can take care of myself..." He picked a black olive off of his pizza, and ate it.
