Please note! This event is only open to the European males who were nominated by their peers and accepted this nomination. These are: poke mattix's Toroth, [jessii]'s Zen, Ganon's Lorne, Kemi's Wake, and DA's Asani. Earth's Flint Gift Randil, with scales the color of dried blood and back lined with spikes the smallest of which were as big around as a human's fist, took to the air with a thunderous roar and the heavy boom! of air being shoved out of his way. He left the ranch, inviting the select few to come with him. Randil flew miles away, finally settling in a wide open plain with short grass and mountains in the distance to the North. "My little brothers, I hope a few of you will not be little much longer.Event Step One!Please RP your European male coming to the clearing, and, in brackets tell me if you will participate in the RP for the chance to win one free flint gift, or if you intend to enter your Kyn in the raffle. There will be two winners from the raffle, both of which must pay 15K for the Flint Gift. There will only be one winner from the RP. Your responses are needed by April 28th. Moving to Round Two!Ganon's Lorne Kemi's Wake DA's Asani Raffle Winners![jessii]'s Zen {unpaid} poke mattix's Toroth {unpaid}

The air was filled with the thunderous whoosh of leathery wings as Lorne, the monstrous European Kyn, lurched into the air and flapped hard for altitude. Slowly he spread his wings out to their very limits, catching as much air as he could beneath them as he soared just below cloud cover close behind Randil. His mane ruffled in the wind as he tilted and swept down at an angle, drawing a cone of air behind him that scattered several flocks of geese and created a roar like a passing jet.
He swept over the trees and angled up, then slowly circled above the clearing before he sloped to the ground and set down heavily. He snorted, turning to bow to Randil, lowering himself on his forelegs, then straightened up and sat back on his haunches to watch the others arrive.
[I'll participate in the roleplay part. :3]

Wings swept the ground as Wake launched himself into the air behind the line before him as the elder rose into the air. Tail swaying behind him, he followed the line swaying from side to side once and a while. He wondered where everyone was going, rising high over the rest he perfered the higher altitudes then the lower ones. Wings setting into a glide, the thermals carrying him short distances before a wing beat was required. He noted the Elder dip and land within a fairly large clearing. Dipping a wingtip, he followed spiralling down into the clearing landing before the elder and just off to the side a bit. Bowing his head in greeting to the elder, Wake remained silent only going to speak when it was his turn, or something of that manner.
[[ I'm going to Rp it out. ^^ ]]

It was difficult to lose sight of the large Elder, and even if he had somehow managed that, there was simply no possible way for Zen to lose sight of even larger kyn that had been named as 'Lorne'. With every wing beat, his wings stretched out to their maximum limit before withdrawing. It was something akin to a human. A kyn with larger wings flew further than a kyn with smaller wings.
As the Europeans in front of him started to descend, Zen followed suit, bracing himself for the impact with the ground. Bringing his wings out to slow him down more, he landed, the wind caused by his landing rustling the scarce amount of grass on the plain they seemed to be on.
He gave a nod of respect to the Elder before sitting back on his haunches and waiting for further instructions. The Elder must have had a reason to pull them away from the meeting and here.
[I'll take the raffle. 83]

Asani rode the combined slipstreams of Lorne and Randil, a little behind the main body of males. It wasn't only his natural antisocial nature...He was, in fact, slower in the air than the elder kyn and the giant European. His wingspan was smaller than theirs; it wasn't surprising in the least that he couldn't cover as much distance in as much time.
The stripe-flanked kyn circled down after the others had landed, stretching his wings to their widest before folding them away. As was his norm, he remained around the edges of the knot of kyns, his eyes not lingering too long on any one of them, although there was a certain sort of awe when he eyed Randil. There was something of his presence that spoke to the part of Asani that always seemed frightened by the world.
((I'll do RP, too.))

With a giant leap from the ground, Toroth was also airborne, easily keeping track of the mighty Randil and the much larger Lorne. He was not sure why, but he felt like he was being drawn towards the elder now, even moreso then before. Beating his wings, he flew upwards to the higher altitudes before setteling into a glide, allowing his mind to absorb the situation at hand. He had no idea where he was going, what was going to happen to him, and there was a looming war between the kyns and their riders, and the "corrupt".
Some time later, he noticed the others where following the Elder into a clearing. Toroth closed his wings to his sides, dropping into a straight dive to the ground, only opening then when he was 20 feet from the ground in order to break. He came to a standstill on the ground, bowing to the elder as the others had done, and waited for what was to come next.
((sorry I took so long to respond ^^;, I'll go for the raffle, please))

He waited for the others to arrive, perhaps anxious himself at the prospect of trials.
"Although there are five of you, I have only three flints formed from the hardest minerals to offer. Two have already chosen their owners, and one three of you will compete for."
Randil raked his claws through the ground, digging up the grass and leaving a series of furrows behind. When he lifted his clawed hand, it revealed three beautiful stones that glinted in the sunlight. He picked up one in each claw, rocking back to his haunches.
"Toroth, Zen, the stones believe that you are deserving already. Take them, and return to the group. We will show you how to use them later." Randil was most likely referring to himself and Neti, perhaps even the other Lunar Elder. He handed the stones over without much more presentation. Despite their size, they were incredibly heavy.
"Lorne, Wake, Asani - it is your responsibility, little brothers, to show me that you are worthy of this gift. We will have a sparring competition.
Randil scratched out in the grass and dirt with his claws the brackets for the event.

Challenge Two!
Bracket One: Lorne vs. Wake Bracket Two: Asani vs. Lorne Bracket Three: Wake vs. Asani
Each fight consists of 10 roleplay posts, with each Kyn getting five posts. One of those five posts will be an introduction to the fight, so you really only have three posts to make your moves and one post to wrap the fight up. Keep this limit and guideline in mind.
Stopping point is determined by first blood, or post maximum reached. Magic is allowed, but no familiars may help.
Although you may 'win' your match (either by bleeding your opponent, their forfeit, or you being deemed winner after 10 posts), you may not neccessarily win the prize.
Event winner will be determined by realism (recognize physical and magical limitations), how well you worked with your opponent (does your fight have a start and an end? do you pay attention to what the opponents' moves are? ), creativity, and spelling & grammar.
Please don't plan your fight out ahead of time, or during it. That removes spontanuity.
Either player may post first for the fight start. Do not post other RP in this thread until all three brackets are finished.
All three brackets need to be finished before May 10th.
Good luck, and you're free to start!

Wake watched the elder as he handed small stones to those that would not be taking part within the sparing session. Pity, he would have enjoyed taking on Toroth as he had visited the den a time with his owner. Wings stretching, he raised to his feet and walked away from the others, soon turning to meet his challenger. Being one who had not fought in a while, besides small den scuffles with the younger kyn. Wake had very little knowing of the other's strengths and what not. He would just have to see what happens and how things go. Folding his wings to his side, Wake waited to greet his challenger with a bow of the head and to start the spar.

Lorne narrowed his eyes at Toroth and Zen, then looked up at his two opponents and snorted a burst of flame through his nose. Slowly, his tail lashed, dragging a long, deep furrow in the earth behind it while the massive European lowered his head in turn, bowing to Wake.
When he lifted his head again, tongues of flame licked between his teeth. Gentle Lorne had bested many a foe in combat; he had a lot of weight, and he was an expert at throwing it around.
"Come, then," he growled, fire swirling at the back of his mouth.

Wake saw life within his challenger as he tured and returned the bow of greeting. Wake hadn't been one to take first strike to start a match, but things were different here. Unfurrowing his own wings, Wake, though small and slightly lighter then the larger kyn, leapt to the air, leaving his magic for when he really needed it.
"Then come I shall." Wake answered the growl diving when he thought himself high enough, wings pulled in close to his sides. Front paws scretched out before him and tail whipping around behind him.

Lorne lifted his head and opened his jaws wide, then unleashed a wide, powerful jet of flame into Wake's flight path. Dragon fire isn't like something that comes out of a flamethrower, at least not in Lorne's case. It's a forceful blast that can slam through wood and masonry, smash its way through buildings and reduce steel to molten goo. Already, Lorne was bracing himself on his claws. He was not, unfortunately, quick on his feet, so he had to rely on his thick scales, massive size, and immense strength. He closed his jaws as he cut off the flame, whipping his tail over his back in hopes that he could catch Wake with it.
No more words. Only the fight.

Rolling to the side, Wake barely made it out of the way of the blast that came his way, though he could have sworn he still smelt smoldering scales and hair from his tail. Oh his keeper wouldn't like that as it would take much healing salves to keep the pain to a dull throb. Coming out of his spin, Wake was caught by the tail, but before he could be tossed away from the larger kyn, his jaws snapped at the scales protecting the tender flesh beneath.
Colliding with the ground, his wigs folded in close as to not damage them beyond need, Getting back to his feet, Wake shook the feeling of his poor tail away from his mind to concentrate on the match a head, he wasn't really willing to lose, but from the power of this larger kyn, Wake was finding that he was clearly out matched... If he lost this, he would really need some serious training...

[Sorry about the delay, been a very busy week. x.x]
Lorne growled, digging his talons into the earth as he lashed his tail away. A painful bite, but fairly insignificant to a creature his size. Lorne crouched down and whipped his head forward, snapping at Wake before whipping his foreclaw out horizontally to force his foe back farther. Wake could move much faster than Lorne, both on the ground and in the air, but Lorne's sheer size meant that a single solid strike would be more than enough. Slowly, he began to lift his tail into the air, rocking forward on his legs as though preparing something.
