At the very back of the graveyard sat a small, steel building. Two guards were posted at the door to keep anyone who wanted to meddle out. Inside the building was a steep staircase leading down, to the older, more decrepit corpses. The worst of the Dorfs were placed down here, including the infamous Ganondorf. Only those who were invited by Kameo or one of his personal body guards were allowed into the sanctuary.

Alric tromped down the stairs after stealthily avoiding the party in the middle of the cemetery. The guard he was relieving was gracious, and quickly skipped up the stairs, glad to be away from the corpses which they guarded, behind a door as they were. The other guard looked at Alric, pleadingly, his relief still hadn't come. Alric enjoyed working down here; the weak of heart daren't come anywhere near, and the weaker of the guards weren't allowed to work around such dangerous corpses.

Ralph waltzed down the stairs, relieving the other guard. It was just him and Alric tonight. Most people were intimidated by Alric, but Ralph had grown a certain fondness for him over the years of servicing Kameo. After taking his place in the entryway, Ralph glanced over to Alric, "So, did you see all of the people dancing back there? I'm glad I didn't enter and make a fool of myself," he chuckled.

((sorry guys! I've been working 50 hours a week, and I really don't have a lot of time to get on gaia since I finally got the promotion I was waiting for! I will try to get on here, but I'm typing this on me phone as it is. ))
Alric glanced over at Ralph. He enjoyed the presence of this one only slightly more than Arsenie. He knew Ralph was competent in battle, and was one of his favorite people to train with. He knew even though the man would jest about the job, when it came to business, Ralph was all game. Alric liked that about the man. "I hate dancing," Alric grumbled. "It's a waste of energy."

Ralph shrugged, "It's not so bad if you have an attractive partner. But you aren't into the ladies are you?" he didn't mean for the comment to come out insinuating Alric was gay, just simply that he didn't like people.

Alric shrugged. "Some females are tolerable. I just don't like dancing. I'd rather do better things with my time than wave my appendages around on humans." he kept his gaze to the shadows, not wanting Ralph to see the amusement in his eyes. Emotion wasn't something he liked others to see from him, and his eyes tended to give him away when the rest of his face didn't.

Ralph smirked at Alric, "You've never laid with a woman, have you?" it was a little shocking if the fact were true, that a man could make it as far in life as Alric, and still remain a virgin.

"Oh..." Ralph laid a slender finger to his lip as he gazed at the other guard with amusement, "You really haven't..." he turned his head away from the man, dropping his finger, "If you had, you would know."

Alric raised an eyebrow at the other guard, "What do you mean? You just lay on top of someone, don't you? You act like such a 'player,' but I doubt you've actually laid with another woman." Alric snorted, turning his gaze away.

Ralph chuckled, "You really know how to make such a wonderful event sound boring!" Ralph brushed a stray strand of hair out of his face, "And just so you know, Alric, I've had more than one such encounter since I joined the flanks of Kameo's army - lots of women find Frenchmen to be quite the romancers."

Ralph looked taken aback, "Scullion maids?" he looked Alric up and down, "I have no reason to resort to such revolting outlets!" he tossed his head in indignancy, "For your information, I prefer to sleep with women of power."

"Women of power?" Alric guffawed, "So, what? You have Sabin put on a corset while you ******** him?" he let out a harsh laugh, "You amuse me very much, Ralph."

A vein started twitching on the side of Ralph's temple, "I amuse you, do I? I wish I could say the same for you, and your crude jokes." He turned away from the other guard. Sabin? That strategist was one of the last people Ralph would like to be near, especially in an intimate setting. For some odd reason, that man seemed to invoke more fear out of Ralph than Kameo.
