Well. Hi. I'm Synful Nocturne - legal name is Syn, so it works. Despite the appearance of my avatar, I am indeed male. And engaged, as of Christmas! Sweet Vlad, so romantic... Anyway, he couldn't be here. So don't expect a greeting from him. He can be kinda shy.
Hm. What should you crazy folks know about me...? Okay. I'm a full-time student in college, studying to be a music teacher - or choir director, to be more specific. I'm a sophomore at a community college, but don't let that fool you. An AA - Associate of the Arts - is difficult for musicians to get in just two years, so I'm not graduating yet. Maybe next year. I'm aiming for a Doctorate's, so that might take a while. All that money going to tuition... Rawr.
Ah, I work part-time at the college as an office assistant in the Fine Arts Building - known as the FAB - and as a lab assistant in the Writer's Center. Pay sucks, by the way. I also work part-time at a restaurant. Would've been full-time, but they said I'm too good, so I'm only called in when we're understaffed. Meaning too many people called in sick or we have more patrons than can be handled.
'Kay, that's school and work... Oh! I'm a Texas All-State Choir member. So I'm a state musician. We get paid nothing. But look on YouTube and search for the TMEA 2009 True Light video. That was our closer this year - and the only video of the college All-State choir. We need recognition, dang it! We're just as good as the high school kids! Rotten brats... Um, no offense to any high schoolers here, of course...
I think I'm gonna be quiet now. If there's anything else you wanna know, you know where to find me!
May the music (ha, I bet you thought I was gonna say "Force"...) be with you!
