Blue skies and cool crisp air bless the soul society. Many shinigami as well as holes travel from all across the seireitei to view this rare and historic ceremony, The Changing of the Soutaichou's. Many former captains and lieutenants come from the world of the living as well as the central 46 chambers to view the beautiful day and events. Children run playing in the court yard as they fly kites and chase butterflies. A judge from the central 46 who is rarely ever seen stands at a podium speaking about the current event.
" Today marks a special event. One Soutaichou is leaving to another squad and another comes into power of the 13 protection squads. Oba, Akino will step down from her throne giving way to Kira Izuru. Kira has been a major member of the Gotei, being the lieutenant of squad 3 then moving to his captain seat of squad 8. Now the rank of Soutaichou will be given to Kira. Now some words from Akino."

"Izuru, Kira, former lieutenant of the 3rd squad and the current captain of the 8th squad. You deserve to lead the Gotei 13. Compared to everyone here you are the most experienced. Everyone needed your guidance, even I myself look up to you." Akino said, while removing her haori. She folded the haori then carried it in a sophisticated manner. "I herby declare that Izuru, Kira is the new Soutaichou as well as to be the new Ichibantai Taichou. Lead us to a path of Victory and Tranquility." She declared, she bowed then offered the haori.

he was watching from a rooftop, a few hundred yards away.* good job akino. you didnt feel up to it, but you tried. its all that matters." he nodded his approval quietly and then hopped down, walking away.*

Kira was nervous throughout the ceremony. His legs were shaking in nervousness, an old habit not forgotten. He felt greatly honored to be offered such a big responsibility, and had accepted the invitation with gusto. Standing in front of Akino, he bowed, removing his own haori and folding it much the same. With a shaking hand, he took the flowing haori and handed Akino his own. "I graciously accept, ma'am. I will not let you nor anyone down.."

Akino pursed her lips, she prevented herself from laughing. "I myself will not let you down, in serving you and take over your previous seat." She bowed, smiling, taking the haori. "Izuru, Kira is now Seireitei's Soutaichou." She knelt down, bowing her head. "Bow down to the new Soutaichou!" she exclaimed.

Kei was standing with the rest of the captain's, listening and watching the events taking place. He thought that it was a bit odd for Akino to be stepping down from her position as Soutaichou. He glanced up and watched a bird fly overhead, calling off into the distance as if it were searching for a lost friend. "Though we are taking a step forward, I feel as if there is something pressing down on us... something heavy..." He thought as he listened to the ceremony that was taking place. He shook his head, getting his thoughts away from his "feeling" and to the ceremony. He took a few steps towards Kira, and bowed with one fist over his heart. "Congratulations, Kira-sama... uhh, I mean Soutaichou. I will follow you with the same loyalty as I gave Akino-san."

 Braydon was beside his 3rd Division members as they applauded for the new Soutaichou. He didn't know the old or new ones that well at all, and didn't feel as though everything was going to change. However, he was a little disappointed about a female stepping down, but he didn't know why.

Yachiru hopped up to Kira, poking his new haori. "Aww, does this mean I can't be your fukutaichou, anymore, Izu-chan?" She pouted a bit while poking Kira again.

Kira smiled lightly at Kei, giving him a half bow in return. "I have no doubt that you will continue to be loyal to us, Hakashi-taichou. I have great faith in all of you, and I plan to do great things for you all." Turning to look at Yachiru, the blond frowned slightly. "What makes you think I wouldn't bring you with me?"

Looking down at the even from high in the sky and out of site, Aizen hoovers. His riatsu is nearly undetectable as a smile breaks on the face of the villain. Little did the shinigami know a storm was brewing that would rival all battles of the past. His white cloths blew with the wind slowly as the sun began to set.

Gasping, she hopped in circles around Akino. "Yay~!" Yachiru stopped suddenly, looking to her arm. "I suppose I should take this one off, huh?" She was, of course, referring to the fukutaichou badge she was wearing.
