but the cast are white ppl...
which kind of goes against the asian theme.
i wonder if it'll be good.
i heard that the actors were kinda mean and the guy who originally was going to be zuko thought that he was acting for naruto so they got a new guy.

I'm actually pretty upset about the casting. All Asian universe, white actors. Way to go, Hollywood. Search "Aang Ain't White" and you'll find a letter-writing protest.

I heard Jesse McCartney is going to play Zuko. That will be pretty weird. I also heard that the white actors that are playing Katara,Sokka and other characters that aren't white, they got pretty good tans so they look asian-ish

This is one of the few Avatar-related things I am against (others being the limited number of episodes and the lack of a decent video game). Although I support a movie, I absolutely HATE the cast. As with the others said, Caucasian actors playing would-be Asian characters... No sense.

well, being that it is a cartoon and the movie isnt....I think its going to look weird. sweatdrop most movies tend to if they start out cartoons. i think they should make another cartoon movie personally. It was a good show.

I was poking around and saw this thread wasn't quite up to date: Due to Jesse's tour he was replaced with Dev Patel (who I think and hope will do an awesome job as Zuko) Here are some pics my friend sent me the other day. Personally I expected much worse and am actually looking forward to this movie. Pics of Aang and Zuko

From what I saw in the teaser they stayed prity true to the world at lest. I can't wait for a longer more in depth trailer to come out. Allthough i would have picked someone elts for Zuko. It will be interesting to see who they pick for every one elts.

I read somewere that its going to be a condesed verson the the show...with posibly new content. I'll probebly watch it just because. ^-^
Yuki Ga Futteimasu: actualy the actor that is playing him is the same age thta aang is supposed to be, I think he is 12.
