One day a poor, lonely, black and white kitten wandered the streets of New York City. She had yellow eyes and the bottom half of her body was white. Inside her ears were a light pink as well as her nose.
A girl with a red and black scarf, gray, tattered clothes, and no shoes was walking down the street when she came upon the kitten. She had long, flowing blonde hair and wore black, thick rimmed glasses. Her name was Karri. She was shocked at how the cat was so thin and the fur was matted. She picked up the kitten, but it hissed at her, jumped out of her arms and ran off into the crowd.
The next day she came onto the same street, but instead of nothing in her hands, she brought a bowl of chopped meat with gravy. She set the bowl down in a corner where no one saw it, she left the street and watched the bowl from a distance. She saw the same cat from the day before come, eat the meat and then slowly walk away. Karri got up from her hiding spot, went to get the bowl and then returned home. She continued this for a while until her mother got worried of where she was going and so she decided to keep Karri in the whole day.
The next day Karri had gotten worried about the cat. She nicknamed the cat Sneaky because she would never notice the cat come or go. Karri walked on down the street and waited for the cat, in her hiding space, to come out and eat the food she had left. She never saw Sneaky come or go, nor did the food get eaten. She decided to leave the food there for the night and get home to see if Sneaky would eat in the nighttime where no one was watching. Karri got up early the next morning and she went outside to see if Sneaky had eaten the food, but the bowl was there and not a single lick or bite was taken out of the meat. Karri was worried now and there was no way to stop it. She waited and waited in her hiding place, but never saw Sneaky again.
A few months passed and Karri had forgotten all about Sneaky until a morning when Karri was out walking she saw a cat lying in the corner where she usually put her food. She looked closely at the cat and realized that it was Sneaky. She picked up the cat and ran back home shielding Sneaky from the cold. Running inside Karri got a nice warm bed for Sneaky and she watched as she ate the food she had gave her. Sneaky laid down for the next few days, but never got up. She only got up to eat and to go to the bathroom, but for nothing else.
Karri had called the vet the next day and a man showed up at her door step to exam Sneaky. He examined the cat and shook his head.
"I'm sorry, but your cat is terribly ill and putting her down would be the best idea." The doctor injected the medicine into Sneaky and she watched as she fell into a deep sleep, never to be awoken again.
I wrote this a lon time ago and decided to fix some parts and put it on here.
