***Possible Spoilers for Drakengard and Drakengard 2***

I was wondering if anyone's into Drakengard. I got on the bandwagon a bit late and only just started playing 1&2 about a week or two ago. I have to say that Drakengard [1] is my favorite above them all, especially because of the darker edge the games have... though I hate those grotesquries with a PASSION. They aren't too bad in the air (first aerial with them you only have to kill 50 and the second you can just fly past them), but on the ground they are... less than fun. Arioch's magic owns them... but gah. They take a while to get used to, but level 4 Hymir's Finger + jumping slashes eat right through 'um. My boyfriend, Eric, is the one who had shown me the games and I decided to try my hand at them.

I started at Chapter 13, Verse 3... because he hadn't been able to beat Mother/the Queen-Beast quite yet. It took me two hours of consecutive playing along with probably a half hour of studying a video on YouTube + a FAQ with the ring combos to beat it. After I was able to beat it once, I tried it a few more times and beat it three times in a row. Not too bad. A lot of people have trouble beating it from what I've seen, so I was thinking of making a haphazard 'guide' video on it just for shits and giggles. On my file I've gotten everything done except for the weapons collecting and Chapter 13. I think I'm 70% into the weapons at this point.

Drakengard 2 was pretty fun, a bit slow until around Chapter 7 imo though. The last few chapters or so... got interesting. But, the final Angelus/Caim scene was very sad. It made sense though... I guess. So far I'm halfway through on the second playthrough. I prefer the allies system in the first game, but mostly for the fact that you can use all the weapons with Caim. I can't believe Legna was a Holy Dragon... well I was surprised a bit at the whole 'Holy Dragons' thing. I felt that section of the game was a little rushed and could have done with at least a few more allusions to it earlier in the game or explained a little bit more later on, before the final fight with Legna. I haven't gotten the second and third endings yet though, so maybe it is a bit further explained with the Book of Seeds and such. Don't tell me if you know though! I heard that Nowe is Inuart+Furiae and that Legna is actually Inuart's black dragon. I'm not really sure how that works... but yeah. I guess I'll have to find out if that's correct or not.
