Has anyone ever taken a trip to Japan? A couple of my friends and I are wanting to go and are willing to spilt the costs, but does anyone have a price estimate?
Like for plane tickets plus hotel or whatever?

The cost will vary depending on how good a hotel you want, what kind of flight you take (direct or multiple stops) and will also vary based on when you want to go. I had a friend who went with their entire family super cheap right after 9/11. Check priceline.com or any of those other travel sites. THey give you a good estimate for both the flight and the hotel.

I'm going next year in april but not sure about the ending costs as of yet.
It seems a good hotel (3 star up) is around £20 a night but most people i know vote for hostels

Mugoi Usagi is right, it really depends on what type of program you go through. There is a program through USM where you just need the $600 for presents and for any souvenirs you would want. They pay for your plane ticket and everything however, the trip is only 2-3 weeks.

There is another program I know of that is $6,820 for all your tuition, food, host family and transportation. This is for a 3 month language immersion in Tokyo Japan trip.

There are many others in various prices. It really just depends on WHY you are going and what your price range is/ how long you want to stay. 3nodding If you want any further information, just PM me. I would be happy to help you out.
