Torvil leaned against the tree, arm around Morgana's hip as he watched the Cliffs burn in the distance. Did he regret that his plans and actions had lead to the destruction of his old home? No, because that was the way things had to be. His people had to move, grow and change if they were to exist as a species in this world. He was not one to hold onto backward notions and watch his people die out slowly. Shaking his head a little he turned his head and kissed his wife gently.
"Let's go home," He murmured, feeling a little tired on the inside. These last three months had been stressful and perilous, he had gained much insight on what it meant to be a man in this world, on what powers moved it and forged it. It gave him a healthy new respect for his new found talent. Something he didn't even know how to use yet.
The end of the Cliffs had come swiftly in the night, but Torvil had taken the time to speak with the Elders, who had been in an utter state of confusion with the absence of both the High Priestess and Shaman. Torvil had explained to them what had happened, and they had stared at him in horror when he told them, with no sympathy, that the being they had worshiped as a god was not only dead, but found wanting by those even older than it.
He had organized a quick evacuation and had spread his people to the four corners of the world, knowing it was the only way to save his race. To let them spread out, change and mingle with others. No more half-hearten attempts at letting others into the isolation. No, now was the time for his people to fly free and make their own paths.
Shaking his head, he held up his hand and slowly closed it. No. He would not use his talent now, not so close to the place he'd discovered it.
"Let's walk a bit, I don't want to try and use my magic this close to this place."

Morgana just stood there, watching as the dragons from the other tribe destroy the place she called home. It was hard to watch it go up in flames, as she been there for so long. Shaking her head, she turns away and into Torvil's arms as she nods alittle "Alright, come on lets get going." she was tired herself, and at this point she just didn't have the strength to use her own elemental powers.
resting her body slightly against Torvil's, Morgana's eyes fall close as she thinks back to their apartment in Durem. How mach has changed since they left? Would they be welcomed back with open arms?
Would they even know their own daughter?

Kissing his wife's hair gently Torvil walked with her in his arms for awhile, before finally after about a mile, pulling them over into a small grove to rest. Pulling her into his lap when he sat, he held her close, resting his head in the crook of her neck, breathing in slowly. His body ached with all that had gone on and he needed to rest a minute.
His new talent wasn't all that nice to him either, but he knew that was because he didn't know what it WAS.
It seemed like normal magic to him, but it wasn't, it didn't obey any law he'd studied up to this point. It physically had hurt him when he had brought Morgana and himself to that cliff away from the cliffs, and even now he was trying to to let is show, even if he was shaking a little from the exertion of using too much too quickly.

Morgana smiles as she closes her eyes, her arms looping around Torvil's waist as she attempts to relax. This wasn't an easy thing though, as her mind was going in five different directions at this point. Opening her eyes slowly, she lifts a hand to brush it across Torvil's cheek "Do you think Nirendra will still be a cabbage Torvil? That maybe we will still have an apartment? We left the group without saying a word. I wonder how they would take it."
Everything she was saying at this point, was stuff that was running around inside her mind.

Torvil leaned up and kissed her soundly, his arms wrapping tight around her as he rested his horned forehead lightly against hers. "I don't know baby, maybe if we're lucky she still is. She might not be, and if she's not we'll have a baby girl we'll need to take care of right out the gate, and I don't mind that, I'd like to care for something instead of hurt it right now," He murmured gently. "As far as the apartment and the group, well... I'm sure we can always get another apartment if our lease it up, I think I set it up so it would get paid while we were gone, and as for the group well... I'm sure they'll understand once we explain," He brushed her hair. "If not, I'll just get a new job..."
His own mind was a torrent of thoughts himself, but he was able to push them away and just focus on the fact that he and his wife were safe, and here, and touching.

Morgana could tell he was trying to get her to not think, just from the kiss. Normally it would work, however this time it did. With a light smirk, she shakes her head as she stand "Come on old man. We have to get going, I know as well as you do. Night fall is a bad time to be out in the open around here. And we still have much moving to do."
Pulling her hair up into a ponytail, Morgana was going to be so happy when they get home. To actually be able to take a shower, a real shower.

Torvil chuckled and stood, moving to his wife he smirked and scooped her up into his arms, cradling her before he started to run. "I'll show you 'old man'," He laughed before darting between the trees. Sure he was exhausted and tired, but there was no reason why he couldn't push himself just that much harder to get out of the wilderness. He knew they'd be safe if they made it to the Inn that was nearby by nightfall, since it was the only safe area in about ten miles. So he'd have to hoof it rather hard to get there in time.
The sun was already starting to set, and he knew that once it got dark, some of the more unsavory creatures decided to join the hunt.

Morgana couldn't help but laugh, then squeal as she tries to get out of Torvil's arms. Smacking at his arms lightly, she pushes at them "I can walk, now put me down Torvil." truth be told, she honestly didn't mind being picked up.
After a couple of minutes, she relaxes as her arms wrap around his neck once more. Laying her head on Torvil's shoulder, she closes her eyes as she waits for them to come to a stop.

"AORRRRRRRO!"
Torvil's head snapped to the side whree the howl came from and he frowned. "We're being followed," He murmured gently to his wife, but not in a fearful tone. He knew what was following them, and if he moved fast enough, they wouldn't bother them and leave them be.
Wolves.
Not just any wolves, but dire wolves, large enough to take down a dragon if they wanted to. The only reason they'd yet to be eradicated by the rival tribe was the mutual respect the hunters held for each other.
He started to zig-zag and tried to throw them off, but something caught his attention out of the corner of his eyes as he pushed off a tree trying to get a bit more altitude to get away from the ground.
Claw marks.
Frowning he kicked off a few more trees and landed gently on a branch, panting a bit at the physical exertion. He'd not had to use his strength and agility in a long time and it was killing him. "We might have a problem..."
Then out of the shadows in the clearing below, a large wolf walked into the light, then reared up onto it's hind legs and began to shift. When it was all said and done, it resembled a strange bastardization of a man and a wolf.
"Dragon, why have your kind invaded our territory and taken our food, without the proper tribute... Why do the humans kill our kind and fight us, not cower in fear in their huts. Why do you bring an elf thing among us. You have violated the treaties. Speak,"

Morgana glances down at the wolf with fear, before hiding her face against Torvil's chest. She knew Dire wolves were not to be trusted, as they were often a reason of an attack among her people. Holding her breath for a moment, she forces herself not to panic.
When one appears, it normally meant there were more close by.

Torvil brushed her hair gently with his hand, looking down at the elder dire wolf. He did not like this not one bit but there wasn't much he could do about it at the moment as he was stuck between the elder and the rest of the pack who had more than likely formed a ring around them. Best he could do was answer.
"Elder, my people are fleeing their old home to find new ones, we have chosen to walk a new path. They will quickly leave your territories and be gone, you need not worry about them taking up your hunting. As for the Humans, all I can say is that they fight to defend their homes, as you would. I think this is only fair that as times change people change. As for my mate, yes she is of elf blood, but under my protection. I ask only for free passage through your hunting grounds and we will be on our way, never to bother you again."
The elder wolf contemplated this for a moment then looked to Morgana.
"Elf, are these words true?"

Morgana looks at the Elder, trying to keep herself under control. But the anger was building, and causing her body to shift next to Torvil. As she grew angry, her body grew hotter. The element fire was sparking out of control.
With the new found element, her powers began to show when she was using them. Her hair, turning a rather dark crimson much like fire itself.

Torvil hissed slightly under his breath as her body heated up to levels that he was not used to feeling. Pulling her close to him, he turned her face to his and kissed her, pushing the wolf out of her vision and trying to get her to focus on him.
It really didn't matter if she burned him or not. He could probably draw on his powers to mitigate some of the damage, but he didn't dare risk it not knowing the extent of what he was drawing from could do.
The elder wolf backed down a bit, unsure what was going on.

The moment Torvil's lips touched Morgana, she growls again. But not in anger, just because she felt the heat coming from him. Slipping her arms up around his neck, her body rapidly cooled as she forgot about the dire wolf. It took a moment, before her crimson hair turned back to its silver blue.
Pulling back from the kiss, she looks up at Torvil. Shaking her head she closes her eyes "What he says is true wolf. If you wish to live, you will let us pass." her voice held alittle venom in it, as she knew without a doubt she could take him.

"I will take your word as oath Elf, but trick us and my pack will descend upon you like a storm. We will run with you to the edge of our hunt, once you pass our border you will be free to go." The wolf elder changed shape again and dove back into the brush.
Torvil chuckled and brushed his wife's hair a bit, before kissing her once more. "Well at least we were able to get safe passage. Hopefully they won't change their minds or get bored."
Torvil knew they could be trusted a little, especially on a full moon like tonight, but he didn't want to push his luck to far. Scooping his wife up again he started to run from branch to branch, pushing himself to the limit. He needed it.
