A couple of weeks ago our Clarinet Quartet, me in it, went to this place to play a song and we got a 2. It was cool!
(for those who don't know, getting a 5 is the worst, 1 is the best)

well o.O it's not the best...but performing in a small group like that is harder than playing with a full concert band, and it's also harder than performing by yourself. with a quartet, or any small ensemble, EVERYONE needs to know their part, you could be the best instrumentalist you know and still get a low score if your ensemble is mediocre. 2 for a quartet is pretty good, that's what my sax quartet got, but i got a 1 on my clarinet solo..just shows you that ensembles are harder, because no matter how good you are, your group members need to be right up there with you.
