Loon sighed irritably as he strolled toward the street he knew marked the edge of the Legend of Waya's territory. He was tired of having to provide for himself and the puff ball next to him. Besides that, the cat knew that being in any sort of gang was safer than being on your own. "Hurry up, Puffball! Keep up!" He called without looking behind him to see if his daughter had actually heard him. Ah well. If she wanted to survive in this world, then she would have to learn to be attentive. If nothing else, had he not taught her that? Thus was the problem with kittens. Everything said to them went in one ear and out the other. And they were small. And whiney. And helpless. And loud. And irritating. And clingly. Etc, etch. Loon didn't like them. Thus, he was looking forward to being able to drop his daughter with the first midwife he saw.

Only a few steps behind her father's heels, Larissa huffed. "I'm right here." It didn't seem that her father had even realized that she was growing up and wasn't a helpless little kitten anymore. The teenager was perfectly capable of taking care of herself and if keeping up when they walked. Even Jill, a mouse that accompianed her everywhere, had no problem keeping up with him. Whatever. It didn't matter. Larissa did wonder about where exactly they were going though. Her father didn't feel the need to tell her and so she hadn't bothered to continue to ask. It was probably just another place to gather food. Maybe sleep. Nothing big. Right?

Jill scampered along at Larissa's side, stopping every now to inspect something. The mouse was always searching for something that she could wear that would look nice. She was a vain little thing and was convinced that she was the one everyone should be looking at.

Currently, Cloud was in an alleyway not too far from his gang's base. He was seated on the edge of a large dumpster, which judging by the contests, belonged to some sort of chinese food restraunt. Instead of getting his fur dirty and looking for the tastiest food in this dumpster; he had sent in his little servant, who clearly was not very happy with him at the moment.
"You find anything good yet, Radio? You know, like... maybe some chicken... I could really go for some of that chicken these places make."

Radio's dark fur was nearly shining as the beam of the small light on the side of the building hit him. He was covered in what seemed to be grease, and maybe even some sort of sauce after emerging from the seemingly never-ending mess of the dumpster. "Havn't found any yet..." he said with a growl. Sometimes, he really, really hated Cloud.

Loon flicked an ear towards the upcoming alleyway as voices floated from it. Well, that sounded promising. He moved toward it quietly before looking around the corner. Good, it was only one cat. He didn't want to walk up to a whole group of gang cats in case they didn't take his presence well. The bobtail cleared his throat before greeting the other cat with a polite, "Hello."

The younger, female cat had followed her father into the alley, but stopped a good distance from the strange cat. He was handsome, true, but Larissa was wary of strangers. Let her father speak to him, that was better. Besides, Loon didn't think she was capable of it anyway. Larissa sat down and began to groom herself as she waited for her father to do whatever it was he was doing.

Jill meanwhile scurried off toward the bottom of the dumpster to inspect some green, shiny glass from a broken bottle, totally uncaring of whatever the cats were doing.

As Loon has approached him, Cloud looked like he was ready to ignore him... or maybe say something rude. But after spotting the lovely little female following after him, he smiled, and instead pretended to ignore her, focusing his attention on the male. Not wanting to make a bad first impression on the female, he attemped to sound polite in response. "Why, hello there. Who might you be, and how may I be helping you?"
Though Cloud was acting polite, there was still a tiny hint of slyness in his voice.

Radio looked completely confused. Why on earth would Cloud be acting so... proper? He hopped up on to the edge of the dumpster and looked down, spying the two cats. Ah, a female... that explained it all.
But then of course, Radio spyed Jill. What a cute little rat, he thought...
"...Hey!" he yelled, hoping to gain her attention. Only after yelling his getting did he realize how filthy he was. He rushed to try and fix his fur up a bit with his paws before she saw him.
After spending so much time with Cloud, Radio loved to hit on ladies just as much as he did.

"Would you happen to be in the gang that lives around here?" Loon asked in reply. He hadn't failed to notice how the stranger cat's demeanor changed when he spotted Larissa. Oh well. Loon didn't care. As long as it was benefital to himself, he could care less about the other male's interest in Larissa. "My daughter and I were curious about joining."

Larissa looked up to her father in surprise. So that was what Loon was doing! She pouted, sad that he hadn't felt her old enough to know. So instead of just sitting back and letting the older cat control everything, Larissa stood and loped over to stand next to him. She smiled brightly at the longhair before them. "Hi! I'm Larissa. What's your name?"

Jill peered up as a voice called to her and smiled as her eyes fell on to a filthly, yet handsome rat who was hurriedly trying to clean himself. She sat back, before saying with a laugh. "Did you fall in?" She smiled, shaking her head. "Come down here and I'll help you get that off." The rat added with a flirtaious grin.

Ah, new members. The gang needed some; there were still plenty of empty positions. "Am I in the gang?... Well, I--" he was cut off by Larissa. He gave her a quick smile an replied, "Hello Larissa. I am Cloud."
He assumed that he didn't have to say any more. If this cat knew of the gang, then clearly, he would know that it was led by Cloud. Before saying anything about them joining, he waited a moment for their response.

"Wh-... What?" Radio stuttered, he was shocked. A female rat, actually flirting back with him? Boy, did he hope Cloud accepted this group in to the gang. Gleefully, Radio lept down off of the dumpster, landing beside Jill with a tiny thud.

The bobtail blinked. So this was the leader of the gang... Now he paid just a bit more attention to the longhair. "Oh...Well then, are you perhaps looking for new members?"

Larissa giggled at her father's surprise before looking back to Cloud. "Why's your name Cloud? You're not white.... I guess you are kind of fluffy though." She stated cheerfully as she sat.

The female rat scooted close to Radio and smiled at him before she started grooming him to get the filth off of him. "So what's your name?"

"We're always accepting new members, as long as you'll be of some use you're free to join us. All of our members have... jobs, of sorts, you know..." Cloud stared at the bobtail for a long moment, thinking of a position he could fill. His thinking interrupted by Larissa's awkward question. Oh, how many time's he'd been asked that one... and how many times he had kept himself from telling others the truth about it. He would tell her what he told everyone else. "Well, you know. It's just what my mother decided to name me when I was a kitten, I suppose."
Cloud then went back to thinking for one more quick moment before asking, "What sort of work would you two be interested in?..."

Radio's heart pounded excitedly in his tiny chest. "My name's Radio... What's yours?"
Oh my oh my, just wait until he told the boys back home about this. Normally, all they got for flirtatious behavior was a nice bite from the female, or maybe a swift kick-in-the-face.

Loon frowned, thinking over what he could do for the gang. "I can help out with the smaller critters? I know they're common in your gang." The bobtail finally suggested, sending a quick glance toward the rats a few feet away from them. "If not that, I'm pretty good at getting in and out of the humans's homes."

Work? Larissa blinked in confusion as she too tried to think up a job that she could do. She'd never really had any sort of job her entire life because her father thought her an incapable ball of fluff, as he did with every kitten, and had done everything for her. "I'm not sure what I could do...." The female finally said with a pout.

Jill smiled, licking the grease from behind Radio's ear. "I'm Jill." She replied with a wink before she turned and smacked him lightly with her tail. "See you around." The rat added flirtaiously before she scampered back to Larissa's side.

"That'd be nice, if you could help out with the companions. Currently we don't really have a set cat for that position. You sure you'd be up for the job, though? They're not always that easy to deal with..." Cloud stared at Loon for a few moments. Eh, why not let him have a shot at it. If he wasn't any good with the smaller animals, Cloud could always toss him in to some other rank... maybe he could help on thieving missions from time to time. "Getting around a human home is not an easy task. But I suppose if a team is ever in need of an extra cat and you're not too busy..."
And then there was the little lady, here... "A job for you... well, there's always a midwife position or two open..." Cloud gave her a quick wink. "Or, perhaps we can discuss other jobs a bit later at the base." It really was hard to tell what Cloud meant by that. But one could easily assume.
The tiny pink creature at Larissa's side caught his attention, noticing her running back from Radio, and of course, the priceless expression on the face of his own companion. He couldn't help but laugh a bit. "And of course, your rat friend here is free to come along with you. I'm sure my buddy Radio wouldn't mind. Would you, Radio?"

The rat shook his head quickly. "Why, of course not! Nothing like having a few more rats around to, you know, help out with jobs and things..." Radio liked these cats. And their rat. He really, really did.

Loon nodded. "I'm sure I could handle it. I've worked with them before and had no trouble then." He replied, staring back at the gang leader. Companions were no trouble to him. They were quite helpful actually. "As for human homes, I'm no stranger to them. There were a lot where we used to live."

Larissa blinked as she was winked at, blushing lightly under her fur. "O-Okay." She stuttered embarassedly, looking up at the handsome cat. The young female wasn't exactly sure what Cloud meant, but she had a good enough idea. At the mention of her rat friend, she looked down to Jill then over the other rat, Radio. "Oh, that's good."

Jill giggled at Radio's expression. "I would gladly help out with... things." She stated in reply, smiling at him.
