Vi was indeed laying where Dah guessed she would be, looking rather regal with her head held high and her paws extended away from her body, her hind paws tucked in. She looked rather like a sphinx, enjoying the sun fully. She was thinking about Mr. Red, and why she hadn't seen him in a while. And why she wanted him so much lately. She really didn't think it had anything to do with love, perhaps just with lust... with hearing rumors of Koy having a second litter... with her own litter fully grown. Her boys had become like she wanted, for the most part. They were docile and treated females as if they held power, which she truly believed they did. Ki had grown into a fine female, though she was a bit flakier than Vikali could wish for. She was still very lovely, all of her children bad brilliant coats and lovely eyes, strong limbs... She was actually quite pleased they'd come out looking more like their unknown father than like her side of the family.

She supposed none of it was very important, she knew Ki was getting restless and the fact that her daughter spent more than proper amounts of time with Dahabu she had decided to ignore the problem that had been building up. Soon she could look for a proper mate for Ki, a male that was strong but not over-baring, a male who would respect her and not try and control her. Dah was a fine male, he was polite and respectful but... Vi wrinkled her nose. Could her daughter really be in love with the blatantly oblivious a**? He was not very strong, and he seemed incredibly lazy. And he had been raised as her daughter's brother...

Perhaps she had waited too long to pick Ki a better mate, and maybe things would run the way that they were supposed to, though there was still a chance of her and Koy's children of not becoming lovers. She opened her eyes slowly, catching a whiff of her daughter. Well, speak of the devil!

And like a flash suddenly Ki seemed to be by her side which was a complete mystery because Vi hadn't even seen Ki approach, just smelt her. How strange that was, oh well.

She smiled slowly too, butting her head against her youngest and most precious offspring's head. "Well enough. Having problems with one of the wandering rogues that has made his way into these lands... I haven't been able to teach him a good lesson just yet, though." She said, smirking. She brushed it off though, not really wanting to discuss this with her daughter at the moment. It was private, her own life and she really didn't think she had to tell her children she just might be falling.... in lust with a male.

"And you?"

Her ears twitched and she set her gaze on her daughter, her brow raised slightly. So she had been right.... unless her daughter was in love with some mystery lion, but it wasn't as if she heard or saw her hanging around anyone besides Dahabu.

"Oh?" Her gaze slipped off of her daughter and moved across the lands. "Is it with Dahabu, then? Or is there another in your life?"

She sighed softly and watched Ki, watched how she wouldn't look at her this moment, probably because she was... ashamed? No.. perhaps just a bit embarrassed because she knew this was something Vikali didn't want.

She leaned toward her daughter and lightly butted her head against her shoulder. "Not upset, no. I wish it could have turned out different but.." After a moment she sighed and shrugged. "Who am I to judge matters of the heart, right?" She offered her precious girl a slow smile, nuzzling her head into her cheek. "I don't really know what else to say on the subject. Dah is a good male, just not... as aggressive as I would have chosen for you, myself." She could not force her daughter to not mate with the other boy, so she wouldn't try.

She nodded.

"Yeah, I know too baby." She purred out.

Her tail flicked and her gaze floated over the pridelands, not sure whatelse to talk about.

Part of her mind was on Ukir... was he really gone forever?

Vikali glanced to Ki and sort of smiled, sort of looked embarrassed. "Obvious, is it?" She asked softly, slightly teasing herself. She shifted her paw on the dirt, one claw drawing a small circle as she coughed.

How should she say it? She wasn't even sure herself what it meant, just that he was one her mind a lot. "I don't know really... I guess the closest thing I've had to a friend besides Koy has up and left the pridelands." She wrinkled her nose. "Or so he says."
