The Guild Point System was founded on the belief that everyone's time and imagination are valuable - and the Wizarding World of Gaia greatly appreciates yours. Most Gaia guilds launch the occasional contest or event to encourage their members to be active; and while we do have parties and contests, this guild buys you Cash Shop items, for activities you will no doubt pursue on your own to begin with, such as writing fanfiction or posting new threads.

The Guild Point System is both all-encompassing and user-friendly. It covers all aspects of being an active member in the guild - from participating in the Community Challenge, to making a new thread on the joys and wonders of sock lint, the Guild Point System rewards you for sharing yourself with the rest of the community.

As you become familiar with the Point System's various rewards, you will be able to frequently return to the thread, updating your current points from doing normal guild tasks while you strive to earn Cash Shop items.

Though tracking the points you accumulate is your own responsibility, updating your points is both quick and simple. When you have accomplished a task listed in the thread as point-worthy, simply fill out the following form and post it in the thread - occasionally, a moderator will sift through the thread and update points based on your most recently posted form.

[b]Current Points:[/b] (How many points you have thus far.)
[b]Earned Points:[/b] (The number of points you have earned recently; include +numbers and the task for each.)
[b]Total Points:[/b] (How many points you have as of now.)

You may include multiple point additions in one form (such as +3 for a fanfiction, +2 for finishing a roleplay scene, +5 for reaching 10 pages in an Alternate Fandoms roleplay) providing the activities were all completed recently. See the Frequently Asked Questions for additional details.

When you have reached a particular amount of points, you can use them to purchase Cash Shop items - such as Monthly Collectibles or Evolving Items. The following are the number of points required for particular purchases:

300 Points
Sealed Envelope (current available month)
A Cash Shop item (currently available) worth 299GC or less

700 Points
An Evolving Item (current available generation) for 899GC or less
A Cash Shop item (currently available) worth 899GC or less
3 Sealed Envelopes (current available month)

1000 Points
An Evolving Item (current available generation) for 999GC or less
A Cash Shop item (currently available) worth 999GC or less
4 Sealed Envelopes (current available month)

To spend your Guild Points, simply fill out the following form; your selected item will be delivered to you in no more than 30 days following your post.

Can we buy smaller items with a smaller amount of points?
Unfortunately, as of this moment you can only save your points until you reach the listed amounts before purchasing something.

What happens when I spend points?
The amount you spend is deducted from your current points, and you start all over again.

Are you aware this is going to take forever?
You would be surprised at how many of these things are accomplished each day! And these are rewards intended for active members - they aren't meant for every single member to achieve, and they're meant to take two or three months to accumulate.

Can two members pool their points together to purchase something?
This option may be available in the future, but as of right now, no this is not permitted.

You mentioned you can only list multiple points if the tasks were completed recently - what does that mean?
It means you can't go on vacation for two weeks, and then come back and post a form for points you earned before you left.

If no one has posted a form since the last time I posted one, should I just edit my last post?
Absolutely not. Please refrain from doing so, because this could confuse moderators while they are updating the front page. Double-posting is perfectly fine.

My points haven't been updated on the front page!
Please remain patient - the list on the front page is not what is important, it’s the number on your most recent form. The list is only updated sporadically.

Where do I post my forms?
In this thread only. Please do not post them in another thread or message them to a moderator.

This is a voluntary opportunity; if you aren't willing to put in the effort to track your progress, it is your own business. Nine months from now you may regret it, when you realize how many points you would have accumulated.

Why do the moderators get to do it too?
Because they are just as active - if not more active - than you are, and being a moderator in no way affects their ability to acquire points.

I have a question and I don't see it on this list!
