-born- 10.30.2005
-attitude rather intense and likes to stare and tug at shinies. otherwise, a lazy little nester. When he was a bird, he acted adult and intelligant. He's grown up some but not by much. Being taller has led to an odd clashing of personalities; the carefree, joking, sparkly woodpecker and the quieter, more dangerous and 'intense' as his description suggests on his tag. Iamel has taken on a lot of responsibility when he was a child and it greatly affected how he views children and obligations.
-gaurdian- Explosions. Damn good at it.
-companion- Patrick aka "Raccoon Boy" aka "Shiniee!"
-species- Gold-fronted Woodpecker
-physical appearance- Now that he's a teen, Iamel is now one of the tallest Gaurdians and he's still almost anorexically thin - his hair is multicolored in the tones of gold, red and orange, usually pulled up, away from his face. Due to him being...eccentric, Iamel likes to wear things that include sparkle, glitter, bondage pants and lots of bracelets.
His eyes are large and red and can sometimes be found giving you an 'omfg, you're retarded' look, despite the pretty, lashed eyes.

The Golden-fronted Woodpecker Melanerpes aurifrons is a North American woodpecker. Its preferred habitat is mesquite and riparian woodlands in Texas and Oklahoma. Cooke listed this species as an abundant resident of the lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas, in 1884.
Nest: Nesting behavior of the golden-fronted is similar to that of the red-bellied woodpecker.
Tall trees of pecan, oak, and mesquite are the major species used for nesting. Occasionally fence posts, telephone poles, and bird boxes are used.
Food: The diet of the golden-fronted woodpecker consists of both insects and vegetable matter. Grasshoppers make up more than half of the animal matter and other insects include beetles and ants. Vegetable matter consumed consists of corn, acorns, wild fruits, and berries.[insert info on death by explosion]

.Friends&Enemies. .the other Birds.
 Calytae: Cadences Gaurdian, a little hummingbird called fondly 'bumblebee' by Patrick. ...doubtful he'll ever stop calling him that. Iamel's met him a few times and never really enjoyed his presence. Calytae's happy and cheerful, careless attitude take peoples attention off the woodpecker AND the hummingbird took the shiny from Iamels Shiniee. Unforgiveable. Iamel hasn't seen him at ALL lately.
 Diacyn: Iamel's first crush way back in childhood. They shared a kiss and at one point Iamel would do anything to make Diacyn happy, despite the owl being absolutely crazy. One day, Diacyn disappeared. Iamel is bitter about that - the owl is a very touchy subject.
 Xaxis: The quiet raven, Gaurdian of sickness. Iamel and Xaxis have become good friends in their childhood and in their youth, becoming each others first-kisses right after they became teens. It was innocent...ish... and neither of them have attempted to re-do the little scene but they've become better friends for all it was worth. With Xaxis growing out of his own shell, and Iamel becoming a bit more reserved, they balance out one another rather well.
 Rascir: He's quiet and... a little weird, in Iamels opinion. Other then that, we don't know much.
 Savius: Savius! Iamel absolutely ADORES the Gaurdian of Violence. Savius is a 'big brother' figure in Iamels life and the redhead looks up to him as the leader. They went railing-surfing together and while Savius keeps Iamel from going snarly at some times, Iamel keeps him from doing the same. Their friendship is almost mellow in their 'old' age but they would be a formidable team if needed.
.non birds
Shanuh: He is the bees knees, as far as Iamel is concerned. The owner of the BirdCage has Iamels unending adoration and admiration for reasons unknown to the woodpecker. Iamel would, ideally, like to become as shiny as Shanuh one day. There has been contemplation of him having a crush on the shopowner.
Cadence: Calytaes companion. Patrick thinks she's cute but Iamel doesn't really care, overall.
Taylor: Diacyns Companion. Iamel likes her and patrick can talk smart-people with her. She's the one Iamel goes running to when things go awry at home.Gaetan: Iamels current boyfriend/lover. He's a ballet dancer/teacher and completely human. He's also completely unaware of Iamels nature, species, age and powers - they'd freak him out. Iamels intense devotion only months into the relationship already spazzes him enough but, hey, everyone who knows Iamel knows he attatches quickly. .More to be added.

[Home Sweet Home] While Iamel technically still lives in the rather giant house his father purchased, he's building his own treehouse. Not just a rickity thing, but a house in a tree.

Family Members  Patrick: Iamels 'Shiniee' and the most important person in his life. No, really. Iamel doesn't like not knowing where the dark gay man is and when things don't go his way, Shiniee gets the brunt of his temper. Despite Patricks decision to take on more 'children' AND a lover, Iamel has learned to deal with these things in an almost mature manner... by declaring that patrick is still HIS, everyone else be damned. DDR: Her full name is Deirdra Dominique Rae White - Iamel named her that so he could call her DDR after his favorite game. A criminal from another planet, DDR has been reverted to an infant state. She was found by Iamel and adopted with near-glee. DDR is devoted to him for being a proper father figure and overall nice person. She's shown this by promising not to murder him (he's since returned that promise). DDR enjoys Disney movies, the Little Mermaid in particular.  Akuti: Iamels eldest youngest sibling, the Superstition, Akuti. She's shy and unassuming, sometimes piping in with a dose of cute sarcasm or a notice of something that has everyone else ashamed to be acting some way. Iamel has learned to basically ignore her...otherwise they fight like madmen/women.  Akilah: Iamel claims to hate the fuzzy Fourth Wall Meerkat but it couldn't be further from the truth. Furry, hyper and destructive, Akilah is the perfect scapegoat for any bad on-goings at the house and Iamel knows it. He's teaching his brother the proper way to act and as long as Akilah keeps doing what Iamel wants him to, everything is okay.  Yashima: He's quiet and doesn't get in peoples ways. That's all Iamel cares about and yashima doesn't care much about him anyway. To the next sibling!  Lahela: She's not as quiet as yashima or as psycho as Akilah, but Iamel doesn't mind her. He's bonded with his other bird-sibling over their feathers and thinks she'll be cool if she ever learned to fly. Since she's just learning to walk and talk, he hasn't b een able to have much fun with her yet, but as she gets bigger, they'll find more to talk about... We hope.

His parents only child, Patrick was born a son and damn were his parents proud! His father made his fortune on being a football star and endorsing cereal, having his own television show. His mother was Ms. Universe for a brief year and got pregnant with him in the middle of her reign. She wasn't too happy at being known as Knocked-Up-Ms.-Universe.
Either way, he was born screaming, kicking and nearsighted. Glasses were on his face (reminiscent of Chuckie Finster) since he was five years old and have only grown witha stronger prescription as he aged. There was nothing particularily amazing about how he grew up - he had a mother, a father, a dog and a few dozen maidservants. No friends. This gave him a severe phobia of not being nice enough or funny enough for people - to this day, at age twenty two, he's still trying to be everyones friend and do everything to make them happy (hidden behind his egotistical, know-it-all mask).
When Patrick was seven, he almost died on Thanksgiving Day (American Thanksgiving or as his British grandmother liked to call it: the begining of the end for those ungrateful Puritians). After eating a good portion of his aunts cranberry jello...he began to gag and choke, his throat swelling up to three times its' size in minutes. Only being rushed to the hospital immediately kept him from dying - he flatlined for a moment or two. From the moment he woke up, alive and well, he realized that life was short. Live it up.
Thus, he came out as homosexual at the age of thirteen, with his first two piercings in his earlobes and decided not to hold his self-expression back.
Again, school. Lots of school, some clubbing, but mostly school. Nothing special, save for an interest in science. And mold - he loves mold. But not meat... He only eats chicken and some varieties of fish. He's an odd man.
