Ello to one and all! Thanks for granting me entrance into your guild! And an even bigger thank you to Atra Angel for inviting me in the first place, and the kind words offered in the invitation.
I'm a writer. I generally write science fiction, but after a second semester of a college Fiction Writing class I dabble in more than that. I write both fiction and poetry, though most of my poetry is from my earlier years, whereas now I only write fiction.
I'm a 20-year-old studen at Middle Tennessee State University, and will be graduating sometime during the year 2011. I'm majoring in English and have a minor in both Writing and Theatre.
My career goals lie in various forms of entertainment. I'd love to be a writer, world-reknowned(sp?) with several nice novels bringing a small fortune enough to take care of a future family. However, my heart seems to be leading me on other paths: acting and/or directing.
Sure all three of my possible goals may be high orders but I always say if you're going to aim you may as well aim as high as possible. What goal is worth getting if you don't have to work the hardest you've ever done in your life to succeed?
I love movies and comic books. My favorite heroes are:
The Punisher, The Incredible Hulk, Superman, Captain America, and Batman. My main faves are the first four, but the Dark Knight's a pretty badass guy. I like him because he's an amazing hero, non-compromising and he'll never end someone's life intentionally (not talking about various storylines that he might have done so, I mean the core character). The reason the Punisher is one of my all-time-favorites is because he's just a normal guy, no superpowers, only his wits, tactics, and firepower. He puts villains and criminals in their prospective and proverbial places. He entices the violent and kill-all-evil side of me. The Incredible Hulk is a favorite because he's just a normal man (now with two personalities as it seems) with anger issues. He's also possibly the most powerful person in both the Marvel and DC universes for the sole reason that the angrier he gets the stronger he gets. Few people can break a world in half even when they haven't reached the peak of their anger. Oh, and live in zero-g space after having destroyed the planet he was on. Superman because he's completely impervious to tarnish. He doesn't compromise and he's quite possibly the best definition of a hero with absolutely no bit of corruption, and of course it's because he's not a human. Captain America is the same as Superman, but without seemingly limitless strength. He has many tragic flaws but yet he still walks the path of the hero. Yes, I know he's "dead" but the character himself is immortal and will live on forever, especially in the hearts of fans who don't believe all humanity is wholly evil despite all evidence to the contrary. Moving on to something a LOT less heavy, haha.
My top favorite shows are Terminator: the Sarah Conner Chronicles, Heroes, Family Guy, and Stargate (SG:1, Atlantis). There's tons more but too many to list.
Movies...way too many to list. Name a movie, and I probably like it, or have seen it. If you're a movie buff, pm me, let's compare!
I noticed a forum for MySpace but I recently deleted mine so is there one for Facebook?
And furthermore...PIRATES RULE!!
Welcome me! Please?

*applauses* blaugh Hey TI-S~ That was quite an introduction. xD Welcome to SE. If you look a little closer though... It's not a mySpace forum like you think, it's like a forum where you can set up a personal space, similar to MySpace. Except that it's all in a regular post style. razz What people put in there is pretty similar to this introduction posts, only a bit more in-depth and personalized. ^^ What do you think of SE? Before I go though. Ninjas pwn. ninja *POOF!*
