She perched herself up on a dune, looking out at the stars for the night. It was starting to get cool and she could feel the wind blow through her thin fur. Oh it felt nice after being out in the heat training all day. She loved training but she wished she could do it at night, then again who knows maybe she could convince that huge guy to take her out one night to train in the cool. She doubted she could pull it off though... She flicked her tail behind her a few times before smiling as she started to count the stars. She wished that she could learn what they were, maybe she should ask her dad. He had to know. But he was sleeping. Well most likely.
She was pretty sure that she could sit out here all night and enjoy the stars. She turned back for a moment, her white marking and eyes glew in the moonlight before she turned back around. Sitting back on her haunches before sliding down so she could lay before rolling over on her back so she could look up. Making sure to be careful so she wouldn't tumble down the dune, it was something she started to learn how to do. It was a good lesson. The stars were so beautiful... For some reason they reminded of her sister... No wait, more of, what that her scent in the air?

Zii and watched her sister leave the den in a half asleep stupor. She blinked with a yawn for a moment, giving her sister a pretty good head start before she followed. She stood up slowly, looking at her family to make sure they were asleep. She tip toed around the prone figures, keeping silent as possible. She was pretty good at being quiet, even with such a loud coloring of pelt.
Her golden eyes finally could set out and see where her sister may have went. It was tough to see her, since she was so dark. So she lowered her nose to the ground, scenting her out. She found it after pacing for a moment and was proud to find it. She pranced for a few steps, before she dropped into a crouch. She was going to sneak up on Azar. She could barely keep herself contained.
Being so white made her almost glow in the starlight, and she paused quickly when her sister was spotted. She stayed still, staring until her sister looked away... in which she sped up and padded closer and closer... her tongue sticking out. This was it, her big moment.
She spied her sister laying on her back and with one big bound, threw herself over her sister so she was face to face with her black siblings. "Boo!" She said quietly, her golden eyes shining.

Azar wasn't really sure if it was her sister. She was about to call out to Zii but it was too late, she found herself roughly pushed under some one and her first reaction was to scream. She panicked, pushing her sister off in a slightly rough manner. "HELP!" She screamed before she tumbled down the dune, as soon as she hit the bottom her temper was set off. She snarled pushing herself up getting ready to fight off who ever it was. She flicked her tail behind her angrily. It was probably that male! The one who woke her up the insisted on protecting her.
With a snarl and her teeth bared she turned to see who dared pounced on her making her scream. Who tried to give away her cover in the night? Thats where she caught a almost neon bright color in the corner of her eye. It was Zii. "For the love of the gods Zii!" She hissed between her teeth, starting to calm down, her temper subsiding but was still slightly there. Her voice seemed a little frustrated. "You scared me out of my claws." She quickly scurried herself to the side of the dune, looking around toward the den making sure that they didn't awaken anyone.
"Really?" She sighed as she turned around to face her sister. "You almost got us in major trouble." She huffed before sitting down. Arching a brow. "Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" She could have sworn that everyone was sleeping when she headed out, apparently she was wrong that was for sure. She started to calm down even more, flicking her tail carelessly behind her and scanning the area once more making sure that her mother or father didn't walk around the corner with that annoyed look that they got with Ea and Fia some times.

Zii could not help but cover her mouth to stop herself from laughing aloud at her sisters reaction. She lay on her side, her paws flailing as she giggled and smiled in glee. She has surprised her sister at night time, even though she was white as a tooth. She chuckled, sitting up on her elbows to look around for Azar. "Heh... aren't you supposed to be sleeping too Azar?" She asked, her golden eyes winking.
She sat back and rocked her head back and forth for a moment, her muzzle spread into a wide smile; eyes shut. Her pink tongue popped out to lick her lips before she said anything. "Don't worry... no one is awake... I made sure of it... You should have suspected me of following, we are almost as attached as Mia and Fia... " She threw her paw around in a rather casual manner. "And besides... just shows how good I am getting at being sneaky..."
She stuck her tongue out at her sister, trying to act silly so she would stop being angry. She rolled onto her back and pawed at her dark sister. "Sooo I met a Safi member the other day!

[[XD I got bored today]]
Azar huffed slightly as she watched her sister's reaction, she rolled her eyes a bit, she didn't like being embarrassed but there was nothing she could really do about it when it happened. However she was glad of her dark colored pelt, she was able to hide the blushing that came with being embarrassed. She flicked her tail behind her before lifting a paw and looking at her claws before shooting her sisters a look. "Hush." She said as she looked carefully at one of her paws.
She looked up at her sister and nodded, she was glad that the others were sleeping, some of them were snitches. That was one of the things that easily ticked her off she looked at her sisters a smile growing on her face. "You got a point there, I just thought that you were sleeping." She giggled some before placing her paw down and digging her claws into the sand before sticking her tongue back at her sister. "You are getting better, I didn't see or hear you coming. I thought I smelt you but you pounced before I could look back." She giggled softly before she arched a brow.
She had heard about the Safi joining, well of course she did their parents were the regents. She had been wondering about them with her father recently teaching her about them before they merged but she wasn't that sure what to think of it. More friends right? Or more enemies? "Really? What were they like?" She asked curious about it, she wanted to meet one and learn what they were like...

She smiled and gave a chuckle. She imitated her sisters eye rolling exaggeratedly, before giving her an affectionate prod. She looked over at the dens, at the sleeping forms barely visible beyond the dark. She flopped over onto her side, her tail limp... stretching out her white body and yawning; for she really was tired in a way. She had left her tortoise shell necklace back in the den, and she pressed her paw against her chest sadly.
"Yeah yeah... " She said flicking her paw. "I have been practicing like crazy. No good being a guard if I can't sneak up on enemies." She said thoughtfully, winking. Now that she was maturing, she was becoming more and more concerned with her future. She was going for runs more often, to bulk up...
She smiled and sat up, looking dreamy. "I met one.. his name is Rowtag... he's our age... Oh Azar... he came up and told this boy to mind his own business-he was calling me the cub of a slave cause of my colors..." She sort of gave a pained expression at that. "But he told him to go away and then we talked and he was real nice... I like him... He is a nice red color with black and even white! He was so nice"! She said all dreamy, flopping onto her side again and wiggling her paws around. "Ooh Azar... he was so neat... I didn't know they were like that!" She sat up.
If only she knew what was coming at her for the future.

Azar flicked her tail behind her a bit laying down completely before she licked her paw a few times cleaning it carefully before she looked up at her sister wondering why she had her paw on her chest but Azar threw the idea out. She smiled softly before nodding to her. "You better be getting better, for a while you could barely sneak up behind me." She teased softly before she pawed at her sister.
She moved closer to her sister before mindlessly chewing at the fur on her sister's neck. She made a small face at what her sister was saying. "They called you what?" She stiffened a bit annoyed. "Tell me his name." She grumbled softly she didn't like it when anyone made fun of her sister or said anything like that to her. She shrugged it off before she arched a small brow at her sister. She though that the Safi were supposed to be meaner than that, she though that it would be nicer than what her sister was saying.
She wasn't that sure of to think of this male that her sister was talking about. And the fact that she was worming around so much. "You like hiiiiiiiimmm." She teased pawing at him before chuckling softly then flicking her tail behind her again. She giggled slightly as she made it clear that she was teasing in her tone.

Zii sat there looking at her sister with a distasteful look. She stuck out her tongue. "I got my clumbsiness from someone! Maybe it was you!" She swatted at Azar lightly, before flopping back onto her side and laying stagnant as her sister groomed her neck. "I dunno... didn't learn his name... but he was red and spotted... like blotchy red all over." She said, looking a bit down at recalling it. "He said that I had to be the child of a slave, because of my white..." She furrowed her forehead sadly.
She sat up quickly and took a defensive pose. "No I don't! I do not Azar! Take it back!" She said quickly, pouncing onto her sibling and shaking her about in her paws. "I only said he was nice... that's all... nothing special." She said hastily. "But if I did like him... well... I guess I chose a good boy to like huh!" She directed her question to herself. "I mean... sure he is safi and we only met one time and... well... we are just kids still-I can still think he is fun!" She tossed her head up and looked defiant.
"I just haven't told mom and dad yet..."

Azar giggled softly as her sister swatted at her. "I don't think you got it from me." She smirked softly before the listened to her sister talk about the male, keeping herself busy with grooming her sister's neck as she did so. She wasn't that sure about the male. He was a safi. They were supposed to be bad right? As far as she knew they were. She didn't want her sister to get hurt... physically or emotionally.
Once her sister sat up thought she blinked arching a brow for a moment. "If your acting like that I'd have to say you do." She said smugly before she was pounced on. At that moment a growl escaped from her throat, her firekin side coming out as she slapped the side of her sister's shoulder. "Watch it!" She snarled as she wormed out from under her and sat up growling slightly still. "I was just teasing you don't have to act like that." She hissed before she started to clean her chest. "He's Safi though. There is a good chance that he is bad." She said stubbornly before she sat back on her haunches watching her sister.
"Just be careful sis." She looked up for a moment before lifting a paw and extending a claw, cleaning some old blood off of it from a 'hunt' the mouse was a mess, well she'd really have to learn how to not make so much of a mess when she was killing something. "I guess if he is fun..." She shrugged before she looked at her and nodded. "Maybe you should ask dad about him and his parents... Get a better idea of him. You know what I mean." She nodded to her with a soft smile before lowering her paw and starting on the next.

She sighed and leaned against her sister for a moment. "Why do i Have to tell mom and dad... there isn't anything wrong with us being friends." She said rather distastefully at the thought of not being allowed to see Rowtag. That was just-not right. She would fight to get to see who she wanted to-that was her right as a cub and as a member of this pride... to see other members.
"Careful. He is a baby like us Azar... just a cub... he can't do any harm!" She said rather knowfully, her golden eyes alight. Just like her-just like everyone else in this pride. He was no different. "He is fun... you should meet him sometime!" She said with a large smile. She leaned over and tugged on her sisters ears.
"I guess I could ask more about who his parents are... but... I am not going to think about that right now. "She rubbed her paw over her face. "Besides, you can't tell me you haven't been hanging out with boys too!"

Azar smiled softly as her sister leaned against her. Just like she normally did. "Well there isn't and also you don't have to tell mom and dad." She agreed, licking her paw a few times before looked at her sister for a moment before shaking her head. Her temper starting to calm back down but she was trying to keep it down. She didn't like getting mad at her sister. But little things still set her off no matter who it was.
"So. His parents could have raised him some way that we weren't raised." She looked at her then shook her head. "You know they are raised differently then us. We might not know exactly what they were taught. You know at one point they didn't like us. You never know what is really going through his mind Zii... I just dont' want you to get hut..." She admitted looking away for a moment then looking down at her paws.
Then when her sister pulled at her eear. "I really don't want you to be hurt alright.... I'll hang out with him." Then she chuckled a bit at her sister. "Yeah a few. They are pretty nice... But I haven't really met any Safi lions. I'm still not that sure of them..." Her voice trailed for a moment before flicking her tail behind her nipping at her sister's ear.

Zii sighed and gazed off into the distance. He was a safi and that was something a bit scary... considering the war. She leaned back against her sibling and contemplated chewing her ear. "Yeah... I should ask at least... I can just ask about the Safi and slowly go into talking about him-just to keep things calm... I don't think Mom would like it..." She said.
"I won't get hurt silly... I won't let a boy hurt me... He is just my friend and if he starts something I'll bite him!" she said chopping her teeth in a violent manner. "Hmm... well... We are the regents children and we should be a good example-don't you think?" She asked. "Mom and Dad welcomed the Safi openly because they needed us right? Well... I want to welcome them too..."

Azar stared off into the sands thinking herself her look distant until she nodded toward ehr. "Yes you should ask..." Her voice trailed softly before flicking her hair out of her eyes. "I think mom would be a little more better about it then dad would." She looked over at him for a moment before shrugging softly again, she looked over at her sister not sure of what to think to a point, she didn't want to tell her sister she couldn't do it... That wouldn't be right, but at the same time she didn't want her sister hurt and that was the only thing.
"I mean I don't want him to hurt you in any other way. I know you can fend against him." She shrugged softly before she nipped at her sister then nodded. "We should... But... I'm going to play it safe. I'm not going to run if one walked up to me but I'm not going to trust them." She said puffing out her chest again. "I'm sure that we should be getting back soon." she said turning toward her sister with a smile and a nod.

She knew she should ask.. Afterall, what would it look like to her people. The daughter of the regents being attached to a safi... but.... she didn't care. She wanted to be his friend-he was fun! She looked sadly down at her paws for a moment. "I guess.. that I should be careful regardless."
She sighed, lifting her head again. "I suppose that is true..." She said standing up and giving her head a toss. "I don't want our parents to worry about us..." She said with a small smile-flicking her tail at her sister.

Azar looked at her sister and nudged her before smiling apologetically. "I'm sorry sis... I'm sorry I was mean." She pawed at her sister's paws before looking down a bit herself. I guess he can't be that bad." She licked her sister's nose and gave her a smile.
She turned toward the den again and bumped her sister with her smile growing on her face again. She nipped at her sister playfully, her temper cooling down a lot purring quietly before licking her sister's cheek. "Come on sis."
