Now as for quests... I don't have a thread for it, but I want penguin slippers! No thread because I've got the gold thanks to poll central. I just need to find a pair for sale.

I was unaware (or only partially aware) of quest threads or what they were or how they worked, but my sister is questing for fairy wings, and she has a thread for it (somewhere.. I should tell her to post here for it to be added!) I've donated 17k to her fairy wings so far, but now I've found something that I want for myself, and I have almost 7k towards the Angelic Pendant I'm wanting.
EDIT: Attained 1-23-05!

Hmm, questing, I'm still a bit lost about how people interact during this thing.. Some people donate through buying from the person's shop or something..? And some send over a missing item?
Hah, I just blew my gold on a new set of stockings and a better jacket.. I still need Fox Ears but I'm aiming to open a shop first... Trying to donate every 3rd not used item that I have to the guild. smile

And on quest threads (probably any thread) you get 1 gold every time someone posts to your thread (or bumps it) and 5 gold for the person who posted. That's what Jenni told me! As for when you all change your avatar looks/clothes, I like to save pictures of people's avatars to see how they change over time, so if you make a significant change, shoot me a uh.. PM (I almost said neomail) if you like, or I can just catch new looks as I see them. smile Obsessive picture saver fawN

Unfortunately that's just a rumor, you only get gold for your own activity on Gaia. Bumping does help bring your quest to the front page where people can see it though 3nodding

Once I found out how quickly the Angelic Pendant was rising in price, I went to my sister, and we agreed since her fairy wings are found in the main shops and will be found for less in the marketplace, it would be wiser to buy my Angelic Pendant before it rose much further, and so she returned the 17k I'd donated to her, plus another 6k she'd built up, and I bought it yesterday for 32k. Yesterday I spent a long time on the avatar creator trying out different looks for myself, and I found more items I'd like to (eventually) quest for, but for now I'm going to concentrate all my gold on getting my sister her fairy wings! heart
