Setting
The edge of the marshes, after a severe storm has passed. Dusk is only a few hours away, and the wildlife and Kiring are starting to venture out of their shelters in order to get food before it descends upon the land.

Rydderch carefully sniffed the air, trying to gage whether or not the terrible rain and wind would be coming back. There had been thunder as well - loud and booming. His senses had become confused, and he'd lost his brother. Now, alone for the first time in his life, he found himself feeling rather vulnerable.
"Ryu?" he called softly, taking a few tentative steps forward. "Ryu where are you? I can't find you..." That feeling of comfort and security that usually was at his side was missing, and he was instead lonely and cold. He took another step forward and tripped - a branch that hadn't been there before the storm caused him to stumble forward and nearly fall; practice with these sorts of occurrences allowed him to find his feet and stay upright.

Rosarius had been walking through the forest wondering what damage had been caused here in this part of the forest. She looked up and around at everything and smiled. "I love the sadness in the forest after a storm. It means theres more stuff to fix and care for." she said softly as she lifted a branch off some wild flowers with her teeth gently. She put it to the side and walked forward some more. She heard something calling out and tilted her head as she moved forward some more. She saw a green male stumble over a branch. She frowned and wondered why he hadn't seen it. She then looked at his face and saw his white eyes. "hes blind..." she said softly as she moved forward. "Excuse me can i help you find something? Or someone?" she asked with a small smile. He couldn't see the smile she told her self as she moved closer, touching her nose to his side to let him know how close she was.

His head jerked up when he heard the unfamiliar female voice, swinging automatically in her direction. She was close, he realized, able to tell that much by the sounds and warmth she gave off. However, he was still startled when she touched, so much so that he jumped slightly; then he leveled his horn in her direction, obviously feeling slightly threatened. "Who are you?" he asked, voice slightly harsh with fear.
Oh, how he hated meeting new people. If she didn't see him as a target, she'd view him with pity, that much he knew. "No. I don't need any help, thank you. I'll find him on my own." he added somewhat sullenly, backing up a step. "I always find him."

Kimis moved along swiftly, her steps ungraceful and loud. Heavy against the newly soaked earth. Taking in the early slightly dark sights and sounds of the place. She loved the marsh, loved living there loved the storms. She had to chuckle to herself as she remembered how she had spent last night out in the rain, freezing but utterly wonderful, and the way the droplets had come off of her in little bits of steam. She only wished she could have stayed out all night..but all that wind and lightning..well.chee..
Ears lowering against her head as she picked up speed to jump a fallen log, landing heavily with a splash as she made her way through a thick muddy puddle. She was searching for her favorite feeding spot, she knew it may have been destroyed and if that was the case she'd need to find another one..Stopping suddenly at the sound of voices, her head turning in that direction before she dashed off to go see, always the ever curious sort.
"Ey' now, what do we have here hmm?" her short little tail swished in excitement as she approached the pair, staying a few feet back just to be safe the male almost looked like he was in a foul mood.

He wanted to rear back and run run run... but with the treacherous footing of the marshlands, he'd only end up with a broken leg or worse. Instead, useless eyes widening, he turned his head toward this new feminine voice. At least they were females - they were less likely to want to fight him.
He hoped.
"We haven't got anything here." he announced, gazing past Kimis, unable to find her face. "There's nothing to gawk at, nothing at all of interest, so... so just move on." he nodded as if confident, but if either female looked closely, they would see that he fairly vibrated with nervousness, withers trembling. "A-alright? Both of you. I'm perfectly fine on my own." Such a lie, he thought desperately. He couldn't believe he'd been separated from his lifeline, his brother... how could he have gotten so turned about by a simple thunderstorm?!

Kimis shook her head slightly noticing how the male stuttered when he spoke, well now that was interesting "Ease up there tiger, I wasn't suggesting you weren't fine. I was just curious about what I was seeing that's all" the female shrugged slightly, ignoring him asking them to move on and trotting closer instead. "I don't mean to intrude really, just sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me, I'm sure you understand that." she grinned ears flicking softly against her head as she surveyed the pair.
Something seemed off and she couldnt quite put her nose on it, something about both of them but mainly the nervous male "Do you think I could at least get your name before I shoo off to find my little food patch?" she asked, feeling it would be rude to leave without at least having his name!

Rosarius looked at the new female and smiled. "Oh yeah nothing much. I was just wanting to help him if he needed it cause i'm board. But it doesn't look like hes interested in any help finding who he is looking for. My name is Rosarius, but i don't know his name either. Its nice to meet you, though your name is?" she asked the new female with a smile as she flipped her mane back with a smile as she looked between the male and female infront of her.

Kimis giggled softly giving rosarius a nod and a grin. "Yes I suppose he's to stubborn to accept help eh, males. It's sweet to see him so prideful though" she shrugged slightly eying the other female as she considered giving her name. "I'm kimis, its a pleasure to meet you as well" short little tail flicking as she caught the other mares gaze. Really she doubted this male didnt need any help, ah but then again who was she to push it on him if he really didnt want it, feh that was the trouble right?
"You know, the forest seems to have weather the storm rather poorly, not the best of traveling conditions if you ask me" with fallen trees and scattered puddles of mud and rain everywhere..

Coquille stood in a patch of green grass that was soaked wet from the rain. Her thoughts wandered to the beachside cove where she left her adoptive eggs. She was sure they were placed out of reach of any flood that may occur, but she worried about the cold winds. She decided later she will return to them to check on them. The water was cold and had stung her skin. She shook herself from head to toe, spraying water in all directions, and continued to graze, taking a small mouthful of grass. Her ears pricked as she heard voices deeper in the forest, and her head raised, still chewing on a piece of grass. Upon swallowing, she advanced towards the noises silently.
