How do you usually name your dragons?
For me, I use a combo of Japanese and Spanish terms to name my collection. I have my own way of naming my Dragons' children though.

All but my first... 4 or 5 dragons are named in the Pernese style of dragon names. I use different generators to get ideas, mainly Serendipity and either use the name I get from the list or take one and tweak it so I like the sound or spelling of it better.

My dragcave scroll is Kiyoura..but, for me....I either, use a baby name generator for the meanings to come up with my own name or name it after a real word, or its parents, or something like "Odd Love", "Singer of Chance", like a title, etc.

All of mine have a prefix. "Xu'" And then generally, and Irish word as a name.
So like I just named two of my silvers, a male and female. Xu' Dia & Xu' Bandia
(God & Goddess in Irish)
I like having the prefix, because all of my dragons belong to the same "family", and that way, on anyone's lineages, it's easy to tell who they belong too!

I either give them a name that fits the breed (pokes seasonals) or after a fandom (pokes at blacks and sunsets). But sometimes I just name em something random biggrin

I named my first few dragons after stuff then went to titles. Then I found a site where you can mix and match prefixes and suffixes to make a name an that is what I've been using for a while now. biggrin

I go to a japanese dictionary site: EJODI choose word(s) that resembles the dragon breed and add Ryuu to the end, which is dragon in japanese. There is only a few exceptions like my very first dragon was Rain Ryuu and one of the sky dragons that i found in Abandoned area was named Aurora Ryuu, Aurora after its mother. And one silver dragon i named my bf nickname, Yoko-chan Ryuu.

I usually go to baby name sites, elven name sites, mythology, gods and goddesses, and lastly the four letter code at the end of the dragon's link to get inspiration for my dragon's names. However, considering popular and some uncommon names are becoming rarer as everyone tries to name their dragons, I try to get a little creative and add or subtract letters to the names, so I can get one that isn't taken.

I name them based on what mood I'm in for the first part and then what the dragon looks like. For Example: Lord-Peanut
