It was a reasonably beautiful day. The sun was out, there were a few clouds in the sky, and the wind wasn't too strong. [you know, don't you hate it when the wind is all strong and it GETS IN YOUR FACE AND MESSES UP YOUR HAIR AND MAKES JUST WANNA--] ....Indeed, it was a reasonably beautiful day.
The young, male mercenary, with the messy hair took his first step on top of the hill that the castle could first be seen from. He was on his way back from miscellaneous jobs in other territories. He had just been in Eyris for a St. Patrick's Day party, but went on his way right after it. It felt good to be back in the capital again. He always did come back for the holiday festivals, and this Easter seemed promising. But even more than the festival, what this boy was really looking forward to was seeing a particular person. He had gotten to know her fairly well in the last party, and was determined to not give into his instinct of running away. Plus, the boy had other friends that he had not seen much of lately, like the one he made a promise to, to protect him. But, before he could see them, he needed to give news to a different girl about things the boy had heard about her father.
"...Eyris." Abel uttered. "... HERE I CO- AAAGHH!" Abel pulled himself up from his glorious entrance into the capital territory, and shrugged it off... like always.
He continued on his way down the road to the nearby village, where he had messaged the young nomadic girl, Sue, to meet him. The sword on Abel's back gleamed in the sunlight, as it shown down on him. He took a moment to look up, and his green eyes shined just as his sword. He put his hand over his eyes, to block out the sun and looked around again at the beautiful countryside. Spring had definitely arrived in Learania, and it looked promising that it would be a very nice Easter.

Asami saw her next target. The stumbling fool seemed to be something with potential. She jumped out of the shadow of one tree, tackles Abel and both of them enter the shadow of a second tree.

To put it simply, Abel was hysterically confused. He was just admiring the surroundings when something suddenly hit him and it all went black. When he arose, he was standing in darkness. It was heavy, almost pulling on his very soul. ...Was he dead? No... a little blood had leaked from the bump he took to the head. ...Then what? He didn't know. He frantically looked around, hoping to see something that would give him the answer.

Asami gave Abel almost no time to think. She formed her sword then jumped over him. When she landed, Asami turned around and took a swipe at Abel.

All of a sudden, Abel had seen something jump over him. He turned quickly to see what it was, and saw the figure of what seemed to be a girl drawing her blade. Abel quickly jumped back, barely being able to avoid the sword. In instinct of being attacked, he quickly drew his own blade.
"Who are you?! Why did you attack me?!" He called out.

Asami said nothing. She wasn't going to waste her time on talking. She charged at him again. Though before getting to Abel, Asami cut herself to make sure the blood from her got in him. Once close enough, she started taking swipes at Abel. She was serious on getting what needed to be done.

Abel blocked the girl's first swing with his broad sword.
"Not talking, huh..? Fine!" Abel uttered, as he pushed the girl's blade back and began to block and counter her other [fury] swipes. Abel pushed off of her last swing and put distance between them again.
"I don't know who you are... or.... if I'm dreaming or something... or... maybe I just ate something really funky, but... I'm sure not going to let you come out of nowhere and attack me for no reason!!" Abel then ran out at the girl and swung hard, with his sword, ready to follow up with a kick, if needed.

Asami waited till Abel was close enough. She then did a swift kick, with her right leg, to his blade. As she spun herself back around she took another swipe at Abel, since her sword was in her left hand.

Abel's sword was knocked out of his hands by the kick, leaving him completely open to a counter attack. Luckily, he was able to quickly raise his leather wrist guards, and block the sword from actually cutting him. He then quickly jumped back and took a lunge for his sword, barely able to grab it, and swung it up over him, in an attempt to block a possible attack.

Asami went after Abel as he went for his sword.
"No more games!" She yelled and she started to take multiple swipes. She was not going to let down. They seemed to be getting faster as she went after him. Or was it?

Abel was barely able to block the swings, when he swung his own sword upward. He jumped up and ran out, until he regained his balance.
"G-games?! Hey yeah... L-let's stop this and do some of those!! Ahhh~!" Abel looked back behind him, but the girl was nowhere to be seen. He turned around quickly and barely avoided one her attacks again. Abel winced, as he had almost not even seen it coming. Was she getting faster...? Or maybe he was wearing out...
Abel continued to dodge and block the swings, despite being run ragged. At one moment he had blocked, he left himself open to his left side. Realizing this, he quickly tossed his sword over to his left hand and blocked the incoming blade. Abel took a brief sigh of relief to the fact that he was ambidextrous, and got back into the fight.
No matter what he did, he kept being pushed back. He wouldn't hold out much longer. "Dang it... leave me alone!!! AHHH!" In an attempt to end it, he pushed back the next attack with a strong push and lunged his blade forward, toward the girl's chest.

Asami blocked his sword with her right hand. The tip went through her hand but she had Abel right where she wanted him. She gripped the sword awkwardly and with her other hand started the swiping once again. Asami knew she got Abel this time.

Abel stood shocked that she had actually grabbed his blade and let it cut deep into her hand. When he tried to pull it back, he was unable to, as she was holding it firm. He was trapped, he didn't know what to do. Maybe he should--
Alas, she had gotten him. There was nowhere to run and no way to avoid the cut. The cut itself wasn't all that bad, but there was something about it that felt like it was eating him from the inside. It was horrible. Abel fell to his knees, and grabbed his side.
"Gaaah.... what... what the heck kind of sword is that....?"

She made her sword vanished and pulled Abel's sword out. She then tossed it to the side.
"It's not my sword, Child." She stated with a smirk on her face.

Abel winced a little, as he stood to his feet. He wasn't sure what had happened, but there was something about that cut. It was having a weird effect on him. He suddenly felt a little stronger, and he was getting angry for no apparent reason.
"...Who... who the hell are you?! Tell meee!!" Abel charged at her, with a clutch fist, not realizing what he was doing.
