Kohana was restless once again she left her sons curled up asleep in the den with their father. It wasn't that she didn't love her family, her mate, her cubs...she was just bored with the new sedentary state of her life. Her green eyes gleamed with pleasure as her paws moved beneath her carrying her at a racing pace across the land. She ran for as long as she could before skidding to a stop before a large pool of water. Her heart drummed against her chest and she inhaled with a purr of pleasure. She felt free again, the wild untamed spirit that roamed with the land, untied to anything or anyone.
She sat and bent her head to lap at the cool water, soon she knew the sensation would fade and the tug of her family would pull her back to her life as a mother and...mate? She was still uncertain of her feelings towards Mafu, she felt something but was it enough to make her abandon her lust for a life on the move? Once their sons were grown, would they go their separate ways, or would she find herself longing to return to his side again and again.
Munich was also out and about and on his own. He had left his new friend's side, she needed some space- he could feel it. After what happened the night before he couldn't blame her. Being attacked was the last thing he wanted to have happen... and to be so weak, he couldn't even fight the other male off, she had to do it for him. How lame was that? He frowned and sat down beside a body of water, glancing at himself in it's reflection. He was... so weak. Ugh, he hated it. Sometimes he wished life was more simple. He sighed and looked up, spotting another being. With a soft tone he spoke out, in a welcoming tone.
"'Ello!"
Kohana looked up startled before offering the male a smile and relaxing she peered at him curiously a moment before her own voice burst from her lips. Normally her tone was softer, but with the energy from her run it came out a bit more breathless and excited.
"Hello there, I'm Kohana." She tipped her head to greet the tan and white lion, it wasn't too often she came across lions.
Her head bobbed a bit as she looked him over and she frowned ever so slightly.
"What's wrong, you seem a bit down?" Her voice was curious and sincere, something in her tone had changed with motherhood a kindness that had been absent before.
"I'm Minuch" He smiled at her and sat down. She was a sight for sore eyes- and a very lovely lady. It helped him relax some, knowing she didn't look like the type that would attack him for no reason. He sighed and nodded. "I am a bit on the low side. I'm having girl issues." He spat out, as if really wanting to get help. Even though they had just met, he would and was willing to take any help he could get!

She moved around the small pond to sit by him and laughed softly. "Lady troubles hmm? We are quite the mystery gender it seems. Care to share?" She looked at him uncertainly, she wasn't normally very good with interacting but seeing the poor boy so alone and down she had to try. Hopefully he wouldn't take offense or think her nosey, and luckily he didn't seem like a lion that only stuck to it's own species. She wondered what problems he could be having with a female, there were so many...problems that was. She herself was having the problem of deciding to stay or leave her family, it was heart wrentching. She hoped his issues weren't too serious, he looked too nice to have to suffer.
"Well. First off. I suck at being the guy."
He chuckled and sighed, looking down at his paws; his green eyes danced as he searched for answers in the grass below.
"She protected me when I should have been the one protecting her."
He felt so stupid right now, so lost.
"She also is way too pretty, and i've been hurt by her type before, but it's like, I want to be close to her all the time, and I've never wanted to be that way with anyone before..."
He stopped and glanced at her, smiling. "I sound so silly, yeah?"

"Not silly at all, just confused I think. And sometimes our feelings make us feel all confused, about everything." She offered him a smile and shook her head.
"You do seem to have somekind of problem though, but not as far as protecting her. Couples work together, when they can, it shouldn't always fall on the shoulders of one to protect the other." Her heart leapt a bit in her chest remembering how she and Mafu worked together, but she didn't really need him, she had always cared for herself. Still the company and mutual devotion was nice to have, nice to feel, to know she wasn't alone.
She focused back on the lion before her "As for her beauty, one would think it was a positive?"
"I'm just, i'm unsure. I know I adore this girl, but how do I know that she is the one?" As munich spoke he gazed at her, his eyes still searching. "You seem to have a good idea about this love stuff; I take it you are happily with someone?" he didn't want to prod, but, she seemed to know her stuff

Sometimes it's hard to know, until you've spent time...a long time together. Sometimes you just know right away, if she feels the same. It's important though to trust before you love..." She looked down and chuckled softly.
"It's complicated...I have a wonderful family...and I...well my cubs father is the most wonderful male." She swallowed the lump of emotions in her throat. "I'm...I love to run, and be free, mistress of my own fate. I love my family but sometimes I wonder, once my cubs are grown if I won't just...leave." It was the first time she had spoken the thought out loud, it sounded cruel to her ears and bitter on her tongue. Yet, with her sons grown what could keep her tied to Mafu? Would he miss her if she vanished in the night?
"Love is hard..." She murmured.
Munich sat back and looked up at the sky, sighing. "Maybe it's just new for you too, this mother thing? Maybe that's why you feel the way you do?" He paused and looked away. "It happened to my mother and father. Once we all were old enough to take care of ourselves they split up... and it wasn't like they hated one another or anything. My mother just said she needed to find herself again." Munich had JUST come to terms with this too, for the longest time he hated his mother and father for doing that to them. "But now they are together again, and as happy as can be." He nodded with a hopeful smile. "I was told; 'true love will find you in the end.'

She nodded softly and smiled her green eyes gleaming with the emotions unnamed she felt for her family. "I am sure love finds all in the end, and finds a way past any obstacle...I care so much for my family, no matter how my heart roams in the end I return."
She looked up once more relaxed now that she had spoken, the burden of keeping things pent up was gone. "You said you've been hurt before? Perhaps you must learn not to act twice shy though once bitten, or you will never get to experience anything."
"It wasn't so much hurt as it was... just leaving. One day she just took a walk and never came back, and for a while I blamed myself." He nodded and ruffled his mane, his tail curling at his paws. "For what it's worth, i'm sure your mate would love you, no matter what you felt you needed to do." He smiled. "I think that when you really are inlove, you can wait."

"I've left...and not come back for days...sometimes I wonder if I've hurt him by doing it, hurt them all. I would never want them to think it was anything they did or didn't do. It's just a part of me...and maybe you shouldn't blame yourself either. You can't live always afraid after all, especially not if you feel so strongly for this lady."
She smiled as his mane ruffled, he seemed so sweet. The thought kept crossing her mind, she wanted to know he could be happy with someone who loved him. Everyone should get that chance, now that she had tasted how sweet it felt she wanted to share it with everyone. No wonder those in lovesick states were so intolerable to be around, she held back a chuckle at the thought.
Talking to her helped him understand a lot of things he felt he didn't before, she was truly wise beyond her years, and really had helped him more than anyone else had. He smiled at her and flashed his teeth, like a small cub he was! "You know, you are a really good listener- and what you've said to me had really helped relax my worry, thank you so much."

or his kind words, she felt good having helped someone. Helping the confused male had also helped her clear some of her own confusion. Slowly she stood and stretched her muscles bunching beneath her fur ready for the race home. Home where her heart strings tugged her to her precious sleeping sons and a male who she wouldn't yet admit she loved.
"You try talking to your lovely lady as well hmm? I hope we cross paths again someday Munich perhaps next I see you you'll be a father!" She chuckled and flicked her tail out.
"Lord, let's hope not." He chuckled and stood up, giving her a soft nuzzle before turning to part ways. Tonight he would sleep well- he had a new idea on relationships, and he would never forget her kindness.
