Ki was pretty much an adult now, more or less. She had spent a lot of her time hunting, she wanted to be a strong hunter- a fearless female fighter! Baha, whatever. Ki really just dicked around a lot of the time, and she was hardly good at that hunting bullshit. Her red pelt felt so hot under the bright sun- what a lame day. She frowned and sighed, looking around. Where was he anyway? Ki always waited for him to show up before she went for a walk, they spent a good deal of time together after all...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Danico/ki_adultcopy.jpg

Dahabu sighed as he shifted, stretching and looking out of the small den he'd decided to call his own. His ears flicked and his gaze shifted toward the sky, figuring Ki would be around her spot about now. His heart gave a little pang of hurt. Their afternoon walks were something he loved, but also something he hated. He loved Ki, much more than a brother should. He knew they weren't related by blood, but he'd been raised as her brother. He was afraid she didn't feel the same way, though he never had been good at reading others.
His tail flicked as he began to walk toward their spot, taking a deep breath of the warm air. Perhaps today he could talk to her about his mother, her new family. He was not feeling especially strong, he knew their walk might end short today. He had deep fears he wouldn't be able to control himself around her one day.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v140/nyeisninja/asi/other breeding/dahadult.png

Ki was starting to feel ditched again. If he was not going to show up she was going to be so upset, really upset. She looked forward to seeing him everyday; she adored him. Dah was her better half after all, throughout all of her life she had felt that way. He had always been there with her- for her. Ki, unlike Dah didn't see him as family, not in the way he did, no- Ki had always loved him so much more than that. Maybe someday she would tell him, who knew.. But if he kept ditching her like this she was going to have to beat his a**. "Come on Dah... show up, damnit."

"Ki, sorry I'm late!" He called, his gold eyes lingering on the red and gold form he spotted ahead, a shiver running down his spine as the almost instant images of what he'd like to do with Ki- what he wanted to BE with ki, filled up his mind. He pushed them all out, spotting that she looked a bit agitated. He sighed lightly and then threw on a grin.
"Sorry I'm late, looks like I napped too long." The white lie had come easy enough, he didn't like Ki getting pissy with him, and he knew when he made her wait she did. He hadn't been able to nap though, he was barely able to sleep most nights even.

"You and your naps. Sometimes I think you'd rather sleep the day away, Dah." She rolled her eyes and stood up, sighing. Her lean frame danced around his as she let go of her bitter feelings toward him and spoke out again, her tone a lot more welcoming. "So, what do you wanna do today?" She asked, tilting her head slightly at him. Her beep blue eyes narrowed upon his form as she smiled to herself. She adored his colors! He looked nothing like her- in fact, they were like fire and ice, and that made her giggle. "I know our walks can be dull, so tell me, what do you wanna do?"

He blinked and forced himself to keep the smile up, though his heart was thudding painfully against his chest as she came close, dancing around him so freely. He really did wish he could sleep the day away, rather than think constantly about her. About how he was supposed to act as her brother, yet he could only think of..
"My walks aren't boring." He scoffed, nudging her with a paw. The contact was minimal though, very brief. "If you don't want to go on A walk i'm really not quite sure what else we could do. Suggestions?" He glanced to her, slowly sitting.

"I never said they were, I just know sometimes s**t like that can get old." She chuckled and tagged him back with a paw, smirking. She glanced around and sighed, pondering for a second. "Mmm. Well, we could always pick flowers, go to the river, hunt..." She stopped and frowned. "I don't know, i'm not good at things like this. I'm no leader." She nodded and sat beside him, her tail batting from side to side. "Hey, I think I say Koy a few weeks ago." She spoke out softly, unsure if she should have told him that.

He felt his insides warm upon hearing her curse, it was something about her that he loved very much. She didn't care who she was speaking to, she always had that slightly brash use of words. In the same moment exchanging the words s**t and flowers... he smirked a little and shook his head.
As she sat beside him he scooted in what he hoped was an unnoticable way, just slightly away from her. He glanced sideways to her as she mentioned his mother and he sighed softly. "I think the river sound good." He stated, though he wasn't actually trying to ignore what she was mentioned, simply he was putting it off. He rose and suddenly nudged her again. "Race you!" And then he was off, running as hard as he could through the lands.

"H-hey!" Ki frowned as he took off into a dash; she didn't want to be left behind so she quickly took off after him, her paws pushing harshly against the earth as she moved faster and faster, calling out to him. "Dah! YOU CHEAT!" He was such a jerk sometimes, she chuckled as she followed him closely. To the river they went.

He laughed as he heard her shouting behind him, but he knew this was one of the best activities for him to spring upon her when he was feeling too much pent up energy or lust. He could just run it off, no harm done. Plus it masked that frustration as a game between friends, a game between near-siblings.
He glanced over his shoulder and grinned largly at her, happy the river wasn't far because he was already growing tired. Just as he looked forward again he was splashing into the water. "Wooo~ee, never gunna be able to beat me Ki!" He shouted, still unsure how far behind she was. He splashed around a little, panting and trying to walk off the build up of adreniline.

Ki stopped short as she neared the river, eyeing him in the water. She stood still and panted some, giggling at his actions. "Hah, whatever. You are a ******** cheat, that's the only reason why you won. I could beat your a** anytime of any day." She held her head up high and laughed, sitting back- relaxing. Her tail curled along her paws as she sat and watched him splash about. Whata brat- she thought, flicking some water at him with a paw.

He snorted and rolled his eyes. "Doubtful." He stuck his tongue out at her and then splashed back, before he leaned down and began to lap up water. When he brought his head back up he frowned slightly and looked to her. "Was my mother with.... her cubs when you spotted her?" He asked slowly, though he wasn't too sure if Ki knew that his mom had birthed a second litter or not. "Or her mate?" His brows rose and probably gave Ki a hint that he still wasn't too sure what to think about it all.
After all, he'd grown up with Ki because his mother hadn't been ready to take care of him at the time.

"Oh, I don't know." She frowned. "I just saw her. No kids or a male." Ki didn't know that Koy had mated and birthed other cubs, so that was news to her. "********, Dah, why didn't you tell me your mother remated?" She was pretty pissed now. Why did he always keep things like this from her?

s**t, he'd completely ******** turned this into something he didn't want. Why was she mad? Shouldn't he be the one who was pissed off? He scowled as he looked at her, realizing why she'd always be a mystry to him. He just didn't get why she did the things she did.
"I don't know, not like my life ******** revolves around her, is it?" He spat out, his voice unchanged but as the curse filtered into his words it was easy to tell he was pissed off as well. He barely ever cursed when he spoke! "Do I have to tell you everything, Ki? Didn't really know that. Next time I'll remember to lay out my whole damn day minute by minute for you." And he was out of the river, stalking away from her.
He knew he wasn't being fair, his mother had remated what felt like ages ago and he hadn't ever mentioned it to Ki, his best friend. His almost-damned-sister. But he was angry, because she was angry. It wasn't fair she was allowed to do that all of the time.

Ki sat for a while without speaking. Her eyes blazing with anger, fire driven anger. She slowly stood, moving to all fours as she glanced at him as he sat in the river, her cold blue eyes empty. "Thanks. Thanks a lot Dah. You really are just a ******** waste of time." She didn't even know how to respond to his words, they were deadly. "I'll just stay out of your life, how about that?" With that much said she turned and quickly dashed off, not even bothering to really say goodbye.
