She was certain that her little visits to Unguzo and his little one were starting to pay off, this most recent one even more of a success. It took a little bit of time and some effort, but she was more than certain it would pay off in the end. It also gave Nukta a bit of time to be on his own so that she wasn't constantly hovering over him. It was time to return now so they could update each other... And get back to their own plotting.

He had returned earlier from his conversation with the leopards and found the cavern empty. That meant his mate was either off hunting again or speaking to Unguzo. The male lion so far had proved to be a good asset to have on his side. Powerful and strong and willing to throw himself into battle for the thrill of it.
Smirking he stretched out on the cool cavern floor to wait for Dunia's return.

"Nuk-ta... You didn't miss me too much, did you?" She grinned as she slid into their home, smiling as she approached him, leaning down to touch her nose to his. She pulled back after a moment, brow furrowing slightly. "You smell... Different. You were around others?"

"I always miss you." His smirk widened slightly as he looked up at her. She smelled like the other male so he had been correct in thinking she was talking to him.
At her question he nodded. "Leopards who have agreed to be spies for me. They have quick minds." And he was sure that the Mzawa would welcome help even if they were unacceptable colors.

"Leopards?" Her nose wrinkled slightly as she pulled her head back for a moment only to lean in and run her tongue along the side of his muzzle a moment later. "No wonder why you smell funny... At least talking to them wasn't a complete failure."

"Yes. Rather ... bright leopards but they will serve their use." He nodded slightly and leaned up to nuzzle her. "You smell like Unguzo, you were speaking to him again?"
The other male seemed to like talking to Dunia. Thankfully he didn't seem ot have any interest in her other than wanting to ask questions. "Are he and his cub still well?"

"I smell more like Hitilafu than Unguzo... I went to bring her a treat." She nodded slowly as she slowly cleaned her mate's face. "They both seem to be doing well... The little one likes me and I believe I've managed to convince Unguzo to bring her to spend time with me while he discusses business with you."

"Good." It would be best if the cub was exposed to Dunia more and she could teach the little one properly. Even better so long as Unguzo either didn't know or didn't complain about it. "She needs your influence. If i am to take over i need females willing to follow the rules and be strong for their mates."

"I was going to start with some of the basics... Little things that all little girls should know." She chuckled softly as she nuzzled her made gently before settling down beside him, resting her head against his paws. "The same little things I'll teach our girls while you instruct our boys."

He rested his head atop hers as he settled back down. "They will be taught well. It will also be good for the cub to have others to play with. They learn best if they can play and watch others." They just needed fortune to smile upon them again and for Dunia to conceive.

"Mm..." She nodded in a slow agreement, letting her eyes close for a moment. "What lessons we do not learn from our parents we learn from interacting with others... I want all under our care to grow strong, as they should be."

"They will all be strong. There is no way they could be otherwise with us for parents and our teachings." He would have a powerful heir and strong daughters.
"Fortune will smile on us. I can see it." He would be successful this time. he would succeed. He would get his throne back and he would have the heir to prove that he was better suited for the position than Rasi.

"Oh, I have no doubt that she will, Nukta..." Her voice went soft for a moment as she shifted closer to him. "I've had dreams about the cubs we will have... They will all be wonderful little warriors; lions that both their mother and father can be proud of. You'll see. Both of our dreams will come true."

"Your dreams are always good for us." Dunia's continuing positive attitude had been what had brought him back to himself after his first failure. She believed in him no matter what. He would make sure that both their dreams came true if he had to force fate's hand himself.
