Ico was relaxing against the waves, her paws softly dangled off of the shore as she let the water kiss her claws softly. She was being... rather lazy, but, hey- a girl needed to relax sometime, right? Her dull eyes narrowed as she smiled to herself and rolled up, yawning. She stood now, looking around, taking a gander at things as they passed. This was home, she thought. This really was home.

Chuju was on his way to the water he loved swimming, no wait he adored it. Swimming meant the world to him! Everything about the water lashing up against his sides and oh it was the best thing in the world.
He let his paws lead him on the path he knew all to well, allowing the sun to bathe his fur as he walked. As he reached the beach he saw the white form and smiled. He hadn't spoken to her before he was sure of that and so he happily trotted over to her.
"Hello there!" He called out to her with a large smile on his face. It was obvious that he was his mothers son.

Ico turned slowly and smiled at the male that had called out to her. He was a sight for sore eyes, thats was for sure. His pelt was a mixture of warm colors and white, unlike her, he was bright- welcoming in hue. She liked this. Tilting her head to the side she grinned and spoke out.
"Hello!"
Her tail swept around her paws as she awaited his next words.

He smiled at her and flicked his tail.
"I am Chuju, It's nice to meet you!" He smiled wider as he spoke, everything about him was genuinely happy. He couldn't remember ever being sad, if he had it was a long time ago. Life was to short to be sad and not enjoying things.
"Whats your name?"

"My name is Ico."
She answered with a soft nod, her earrings softly chiming together as she did this. Her expression was joyful and cub-like as she gazed at him.
"Chuju. That's a neat name."
She spoke again, never before had she heard a name like that. It was, well, a nice change.

Ico... Ico... Ico... He had heard the name before but where? Oh yeah!
"You met my mother! Kwaruza, she told me about you. She tends to tell us about all the new lions so we can meet them! .. and thanks I guess, never had anyone say that about my name." He spoke cheerfully.
"I like your feathers. They are very pretty, probably not too good for swimming though!" He couldn't imagine the feathers being all that useful when wet in the water!

"Oh, I did? What a small world!"
She chuckled and smiled at him, though it didn't last long. Something he said made her inside ache. She turned. 'Swimming.'
"Oh... I can't swim, m'no good."
Ico spat out slowly, feeling rather stupid.

"I could teach you to swim sometime if you want? I love swimming, its like the best thing in the world... and the fish oh you should see them!" He smiled widely at her. May have to try and find a way to get her in the water, maybe he could trick her?
"You would have to take your feathers off though!" He smiled widely at her.
"It would be fun...."

Ico felt her heart sink. She sighed and nodded at his jokes about her items, but soon found herself lost within worry.
"I like, can not swim, at all. The water almost killed me a few weeks ago..."
She felt so stupid telling him that.

Chuju smiled.
"Don't worry, we won't go out far, look I will show you!" He smiled widely at her and walked down to the waters edge. At the waters edge while still on the sand he laid down, letting the water flow over his paws and up his sides.
"Come on, the water is harmless here, just say hello to it!" He called over to her, a large cheeky smile covering his maw. He could at least get her use to water. You can't live by the sea and not enjoy the cool water!

Truth be told she was starting to feel sick about this. The ocean did not want her, she could feel it in her bones. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed at him, unsure-fearful.
"What if something happens? You better be there to save me..."
She was... very wary!

"Nothing will happen. Everyone is judged by the sea, we can't be seen as an adult unless the sea accepts us. Come on, its harmless and I will be here to help you!" Chuju smiled widely at her as he spoke, of course he will help her and he knew she had to get over her fear, otherwise how could she live here happily.
"Come on!"

"So long as you swear to look after me."
Ico laughed her fear off and nodded, moving herself up to stand. She smiled at him and spoke out in a soft tone.
"Lead the way."

"Just come on!" He chuckled.
He rolled about in the waves as they crashed upon the shore. To him, it was heaven. He loved the feel of the water rushing around him as the tide came in or went out. In fact he had enjoyed his rites more then he was sure you were suppose to.
"Just come and lay next to me, the water won't harm you... after all it's just water and we drink water don't we?" He smiled at her. It really wasn't scary.

Ico, still slightly unsure followed him closely, at first she was truly fearful of this, but, as soon as he spoke to her, assuring her of her safety Ico felt her worries melt away. She moved herself closer to him, as if to make sure he wasn't going to let her go. Ico felt... better with him around. Odd.
"How long have you lived here?"
She asked, her tone soft.
