What is it with people having to think this book is so bad?
My friend is religous, and has a very religous family, and her mom threw away all her HP books and movies!
I think thats just unfair.... -_-
She has to sneak with us to see the movie!!! scream

Omfg. I hate close minded bible thumpers like that. No offense to people who believe in the Bible, but there is definitely a difference between worshipping your religion and then pushing your beliefs onto other people.
My mom used to tell me Harry Potter was evil, and I didn't really care about it at the time. One time at my aunt's house we watched the first movie together, after that she decided it wasn't evil at all and I was allowed to read/watch/etc.
People are too judgemental.

The worst part is they have no first-hand knowledge to base it on. They're just following what other people are saying. It never even occurs to them that their preacher might be wrong about something.

My whole family is Christian and they don't have a problem with me being obsessed with Harry Potter.
There are some people who push there faith to far in the Harry Potter situation and make us all look bad.

O.O Wow.. that's horrible. I know there are some nutjobe out there who don't like Harry Potter, but that's horrible. If kids don't have the same beliefs as their parents, they shouldn't get in trouble for that. =/

THEY THINK EVERYTHING IS THE DEVIL'S WORK.
This little girl at my mom's work was like, "Halloween is for people who worship the devil. Kids who go out at night DIE. I'm going to be a princess." My mom was like, WTF.

I feel sorry for every kid that has parents like that. My mom lets me do what ever i want when ever i want and my mom is very religious but she says that if i dont believe in it she is all right with that. She really dose not care. I guess its just families way of acting Cristen or cathlioce or what ever religon they are.

I hate people like that!!! I mean it's just a series of books. It's fictional. I couldn't believe that the new pope actually said that Harry Potter was evil. On the news I have seen stuff about kids jumping off of rooftops with a broom trying to fly but if any kid does that they're just retarded.

haha iz realyl funny cuz im christian and ma mom doesnt care. im a sophomore now but when i was in 7th grade we had a seminary come in in the beginning of the yr and we all argued over how harry potter was even nd had nothing to do w/ the devil that he nvr came back cool ....iz so funny wat ppl think cuz the bible iz only guidelines nd ur not supossed to take it work for word nd literally.....ppl r just crazy rofl

It's just something a lot of kids do, it has nothing to do with Harry Potter. My grandma thought that if she had a cape, she could fly like superman, and so she tied a cape on and jumped off the garage. She broke ehr arm. Lots of little kids think that they can fly. But yeah, they are a tidgy bit stupid.
