April 7 20009

kealani stretched out S she woke up for the night. Humming happily as she left the house and headed for the lake out back.

Marishka flew over the lake and then landed by the edge. Her eyes stalked for prey, even though she wasn't particularly thirsty yet. She knew she would be later though.

Kealani began to wash her wings in the water. She was glad that the water was getting warmer since fall was coming. Lightly rubbing her hands through them, she wiped away any dust or any thing else when she was sleeping. After fanning them out after wards, she looked around the lakes edge as usual. Though there was an unfamilure form near the edge.
She stared at it, not oving a muscle, and watched to see if it would do any thing

Marishka spotted Kealani right away. Her scent drew her in and she narrowed her eyes as she watched her. The girl knew she was being watched, so she made no moves.

Kealani sighed slightly. if the new comer wanted to to talk, they would talk to her. though she would make it slightly easyer for them. She jumped up, tucked her wings close to her body and dived into the deeper part of the lake. she swam seemingly in no direction. though she got closer and closer to the figure.

Marishka stood by the edge, watching the girl swim towards her. She didn't care to swim, so she waited to see if she would come any closer. She was curious to know why she was coming near her, and what she was doing here at this time.

Lani poped up out of the water for breath, being closer to the figure then she had planed "Oh...hello there. Fancy a swim?"

Marishka jumped back a little as she popped out of the water. She tilted her head and watched her for a second. Yes, she did smell good. But she was curious. "Hello..." she said in her somewhat dark voice. "I care not to swim...what is it that you are doing out here so late, girl?"

Lani smiled warmly at her. "Just cleaning my wings after a nice days sleep." Scowling a little at the word day. She then looked at the black figure curiously "What are you doing out?"

"Day's sleep, hm?" She grinned a little. "Another night dweller I see. I as well sleep during the day."

Lani swished her arms a little in the water to keep afloat. "oh? Thats cool. Whats your reason?" She asked, seeming very interested in all the figure had to say.

"Reasons?" She chuckled slightly. "I don't like the sun."

lani giggled. "Sounds like a good enough to me. I'm albino, so my skin burns really bad in the sun. But I dont hate it, I think it makes me unique. You can even see the blood in my eye because I dont have any pigmant." She smiled and pointed to one of her red eyes. "See 8D?"

Marishka nodded, her lips pulled up at the corners a bit. "Yes...I see. I can smell it too..." She sniffed lightly and stepped closer to the bank.

Kealani tilted her head slightly confused. "You can smell it? How intreaging. what do you use that ability for?"

"Well well...would you like to find out?" She said, leaning close. "come out on the bank and I will show you."

Lani was alway the curious and nice type. So she nodded and climbed out. She shook all the water she could off and sat next to the figure whom she didnt even know the name of. "I hope its not too violent. or scary o3o. Like a shark being able to smell blood from so far a way." She paused, then giggled. "You wouldnt happen to be part shark, would you?"

She chuckled darkly and shook her head. "Not a shark." She bared her teeth a little. "Just a small bite wont kill you." She grinned and pinned Lani to the ground, getting ready to bite her. She was slowly letting her thirst take control of her.

Lani gave a small squeek when she hit the ground. Looking over at one of her wings and trying to wiggle it free from under her body so it wasnt being smushed. She seemed to be more worryed about her wing then the winged, teethed body pinning her to the ground. "Well, if it wont kill me, I guess it wouldnt hurt...." Looking quisical into her eyes, wondering what was going to happen during the bite.

"So willing...almost takes all the fun out of it..." she leaned close to her neck and sniffed it once before placing her teeth on her neck. She smelled so good...Marishka realized how thirsty she was now. She closed her eyes, getting ready to savor the taste.
Marishka sank her teeth into her skin and almost grinned in a satisfied way as she sucked some of her blood. She drank a few gulps, enough to really get a taste, and to savor it. Then she stopped. She had no need to kill this girl. She sat back up, and eyed Lani curiously.

Lani winced at the sinking in of Marishka's teeth. Then giggled a little as the blood rushed out of her neck. squirming a little as it tickled her vein. Once it had stopped, she sat up and looked at her body. "well, not dead." Looking up at Marishka and smiling "Thats a good thing." She tilted her head a little "Do I taste different then others?"

Marishka raised an eyebrow. "You are a strange one...Hm, not that it matters. I guess everyone has their own taste. You taste just as good as you look."

Lani giggled and waved a hand at the compliment "Oh you." giving marishka some what of a fiesty look. One she had never given before. "I'm suprised I dont taste like roasted marshmello. Though maybe when the sun comes out I'll start geting that 'burnt' taste @_@...."

Kealani floated in mid air above the pond. Her wings keeping her steady as she dipped her hind feet in the pond below. She had now learned how to fully utilize her wings. But she all her concentration now was on the stars. Oh how they glowed with her color. As if saing she belonged with them. Which was fine with her. Seeing as the harsh sun treated her with hateful rays of pain.

Marishka stalked out from behind a tree and with one graceful and quick movement was in the air. She could see the moon's rays glittering and waving on the pond and she flew in its direction. The moonlight called to her, as did the forest on the other side, which would surely have something to prey on. Halfway across she was distracted by something else reflecting the moon's rays. It was a white figure, one she had seen before. She flew close, in another quick movement and was before her. "We meet again, my little pretty." She smiled somewhat lustfully. This girl did have lovely warm blood, and she could see it pulsing beneath her smooth white skin and fur.

Lani had heard the wind take a weird turn and had noticed the figure flying twords her. When Marishka stoped in front of her something changed in her. Her heart beat faster and for one slow moment her blood pulced hot within her veins. A look crossed her eyes of want and danger. The kind of danger one has while enjoying a patienete night in bed. In a quick flash it was gone and her eyes went back to her normal soft angelic gaze. "Hello there friend. What bringsw you around this part of the land?" A soft smile gracing her lips.

Marishka did not miss the quickening of her pulse or the inviting smell of her blood. She wondered if perhaps her appearance had frightened Lani. But she seemed to be back to a friendly expression almost immediately. "Searching for...sustenance. Enjoying the moonlight. What about yourself. Also enjoying the sky I see?"

Lani gave a slight chuckle. "I love the way you talk. Its so... refreshing. Though I seem to talk to so few theese days." She gave a quiet sigh. "My own brother seems to rather stay in his cave now a days." Her smile once again crept to her lips. "But I'd rather enjoy the night sky then stay in a damp cave." A breath before she started talking again "Yes, the moon is rather inviting tonight. I'm almost tempted to fly to it." She giggled "But I guess that wouldnt be the brightest idea." She winked "THough I've never been known to like anything really bright."

Marishka tilted her head to the side as she listened to the girl talk. Interesting girl, she definitely didn't appear to be afraid of her at all. "Refreshing? Is it really?" Marishka chuckled as she flapped her wings against the night air. "Caves are nice for daytime, I have one myself. Perhaps your brothers cave is not far from mine?" She lowered herself to the bank to rest her wings as she said, "I don't think you could reach the moon. It's a nice thought though."

Lani flutered softly down to rest next to Mariska. A toes reach away from the tiny waves that broke on the shore. She smiled as the thought of the moon took over her thoughts for a moment. How it helped the water move. Lani shook her head clear of the moon so she could listen to Marishka. "It might be. I'm not exactly sure how to get to his cave. When I do go, my wings usually take me while my thoughts wander." She smilled and looked at her midnight companign. "I find it nice to just let your wings guid you once in a while. I've found some rather nice clearings that way." Her laugh rang out "Not that I could find them again." "Where is your cave?"

Marishka gazed out over the pond and across the river. "In the mountains across the Great River. There is a small forest near by, but the forest on this side of the continent is much more full and lively." Her lips pulled up at the corners as she said, "Where do you live, my lovely?" Marishka thought she ought to ask her name, for she could not remember it.

Lani nodded to the huge mansion across the lake "There, in the basement. I have my own room. I've even added onto it by digging into the dirt." She gave a vixenly smile "Not that any one else knows, but I've added quite a lot to that room" A soft chuckle again vibrated her neck gently. She sruged a little. "Shippo knows, but I dont think she knows how extravigent I got. I even made my own in door little watering hole that I can bathe in. Or escape if I decide I have the lung capacity to risk it." giving a side glance to Mariska. "Is it nice in your cave?"

Marishka looked at the mansion. "It looks extravagant. I'm curious to know what this extra room of yours is like." She gave a smile of her own and stared back out across the pond. "It's dark, and nice for sleeping."

Lani looked over to her. "Well, Shippo wouldnt want any visitors, so we'd have to go through the lake entrance. But I'm felling adventurous, so mamy just this once I could dissobey her." "You feel up to it? Its nice and warm there. You could even sleep in my bed if you wanted. Its a dwn comfeter so its very snuggly."

Marishka tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at her. "You want me to come over?" marishka stretched her wings as she thought about it. "Perhaps. Is it very dark in your room?" She looked at Lani and then remembered something about her. "You don't like the sunlight either, do you?" Marishka leaned close to her and sniffed. If she could get Lani in an enclosed space, perhaps she would let her drink her blood again. "You smell...very nice," she added with a seductive grin.

Lani gave a slight nod "I think I wouldlike it if you did. I havent really met someone like you. ....You...intrigue me." "Well, its not terribly dark. I have some light strands hung in my room but they are set to low so it doesnt ruin my night vission." She scrunched her nose at the mention of the sun. "Its more like my body doesnt like it. I get really terrible burns when I go out in the sun.

Shippo says its called Albinoism." She gave a little quark to her smile "Its why I have white fur and red eyes. My eyes arnt really red, its just the blood you can see. Pretty nifty huh !"

She watched as Marishka came closer and shivered at the sniff. More of a shiver of when a lover touches bear skin with fingertips then of scared. She giggled "Do I? I dont really know what I smell like."

Marishka smirked at the sight of her shiver, knowing that her charm was having the effect she wanted on Lani. The fact that she was intriguing pleased her greatly. "What is your name? You are very intriguing as well. Albinoism, yes, I have heard of it. It's fascinating. My eyes are red as well from blood." She smirked again. "Your smells very sweet." She too made a face at the talk of sunlight. "Terrible things the sun does to us night dwellers."
