This thread is for the purposes of speculation of characters for the (hopefully) forthcoming novel by George R.R. Martin.
There may be spoilers there may not, it's all a guess until the book comes out.
So let me begin with my favorite topic, is Ned really Jon's father? or is he the illigitimate son of Rhaegar and Lyanna?
Is Daenerys finally going to invade?
And who the frack is Coldhands!?!?!

Glad to see another fan.
I think Coldhands is Benjen Stark, personally, but I may be wrong since Martin's been good at surprising me at times.
I'm sure Ned is Jon's dad, but I'm not sure of the mother. The only two mentioned are Lyanna and...uh, I'd have to get my paper.
But I wanna know what happens when Dany finally gets to invade Westeros.
And George posted that if he finished the book by June '09, it would be out in September. Guess what--he hasn't finished it yet. Also, Sansa's been taken out of the book and moved to the sixth.

I for one hope Euron's fleet slams into Dany's while she is still inbound, and she dies before ever steping foot on mainland Westeros... But then again I hate her neutral .
As for Jon I am in the boat that thinks he was lyanna, and Prince Rhaegar's son, and that was the whole thing about Ned's promise.
