I just got done reading this book only hours ago. I had it checked out from the library for two months. It was for English class BUT I enjoyed it. It was hard to read because it's an 18-19th century book but I did not give up because I knew I could read a Shakespeare book so I know I can read a book from the 1800s.

I was surprised a couple times at the events and at first when I started reading the book, I was wondering if this was really the book that all those movies were based off of but it really isn't. It's been changed so much, the description of the monster, the events and overall the plot. My mom was telling me that when she read Frankenstein in high school, it was about a guy who wanted to reanimate his mother and dug up body parts to complete the task. I was already far enough in the book to know that it was a different version.

The monster really touched me a couple of times, at least until I remembered what it looked like. I imagine a pile of barf in human form with hair, glazed eyes and black lips. I cried a lot through out the book like when Frankenstein's mother died and at the end when everything just went down a hole.

I liked this book and I'm going to read the books that inspired it: Paradise Lost and Inferno. I've been wanting to read Inferno but I procrastinate.

So for those who have read the book, what did you think?

We will have to read it next year for my school, have you seen 'young frankinstein' the movie? Its hilarious, too bad most of the actors/actress have passed, but its still a classic.
